Jay is my favorite late night talk show host but i just think it's not right to joke about Clinton in his current medical condition. I mean give the man a break. Jay had about 6/7 jokes about Clinton on Friday Night.

View Full Version : Do you think it's appropiate for Jay Leno to mske jokes about Clinton right now? AKA 09-06-2004, 10:42 PM It's cool. I'm sure Dave will make some jokes about the situation, and he's been through the procedure himself. Brian 09-06-2004, 11:04 PM This reminds me of a post that Janice made last year. In October/November there were a whole bunch of firestorms here and he made a lot of jokes about it. Because homes were destroyed and people even died, that's really something I don't think should be kid about. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&postid=1250180&highlight=Leno+fires+monolog#post1250180 To me it depends on what is made fun of. I wouldn't worry about whether he will crack a joke about Clinton. But there are some things that don't deserve a joke in the monologue. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-06-2004, 11:35 PM Originally posted by Brian This reminds me of a post that Janice made last year. Heart trouble is no joking matter. Van_Smack 09-16-2004, 08:46 PM meh...I agree -- he's taken this a little far. kinda brutal cpmaz 09-25-2004, 09:49 PM Originally posted by TVShow Analyzer Jay is my favorite late night talk show host but i just think it's not right to joke about Clinton in his current medical condition. I mean give the man a break. Jay had about 6/7 jokes about Clinton on Friday Night. I think there are two reason for Leno's behavior - 1. He has become a shill for the Republican Party; and 2. Clinton and his life are a much better source of humor than Bush's. Clinton is a human, with human strengths and weaknesses. Bush is just scary. barwars 09-26-2004, 09:05 PM Originally posted by AKA It's cool. I'm sure Dave will make some jokes about the situation, and he's been through the procedure himself.
