I have a dumb question. Where does Archie work. In some episodes it sounds like he drives a fork lift and works at the docks and other episodes he drives a cab. So which one is it

I think it was both.

Archie is said (by himself and others) to be the "foreman of a loading bay." I'm not positive, but I think in at least one ep they name the company, the (????) Tool and Die Company. His cab driving is just a moonlighting job for Munson's Cab, and he usually does it at night when he is off the next day.

I think it was Pendergast Tool and Die. I remember hearing that name somewhere. Irene Lorenzo worked there too, much to Archie's dismay.

He also did it on Sundays, while Mike was busy reading the newspaper.

He was a loading dock foreman at the Prentergast Tool and Die company, where he was later promoted to dispatcher, and he moonlighted sometimes as a cab driver.
Later, of course, he bought Kelseys Bar, and changed the name to "Archies Place" and later expanded it into a bar and grill and changed the name to "Archie Bunkers place".
