Thanks, but unfortunately, it's not the one I was talking about :( It sounded different than the opening theme from the last two seasons and aired right before that. Thanks anyway. I think the theme song was in the episode 'in search for Tony'.

The only thing I could recommend you do is if you have an episode from that season, then if you have a stereo hooked up to your tv, put a blank tape in and record the song onto the cassette tape when it comes on :)

Unfortunately, I do not have an episode with that theme song. I hope some/one of you could do exactly that!

The 1st season had a different version, but 2-8 are basically the same with one small exception in the later years.

Towards the end it goes..

" A Brand New Life( Tony playing guitar with tennis racket), A Brand New Life( Angela in her robe doing the twist), A Brand New Life, around the bend. A pop beat hits, and Tony and Sam are tap dancing.

To sum it up, the intro in the final few seasons changes in music a bit, but not much. The words are taken out for about 5 seconds, and we here the beat instead.

I think i know the theme your talking about it's a brief 1990 theme used during the remainder of the 1989-1990 season i think they changed it during January 1990, it sounds the same as the final two seasons, except at the beginning it is a little longer and at the end they say brand new life .... brand new life... as they show a clip of tony from the pilot episode telling angela something. I liked that theme myself but it's rarely seen because it's only used in about 7 episodes... and then the following season starts.

I know the theme your talking about and it's a very rare theme and it's interesting to see the close form the last few episodes of 1989-90 for the start using stills instead of rolling credits it's really interesting to see the music play and the still credits

Not necessarily... during the beginning of the series you would see during the ending credits... moving shots of what happened during an episode... in late 1989 they made them all still shots of what happened during an episode. But i think nick at night is doing a good job of not shrinking back the ending credits of an episode which i hate... i hate when they have to annonce what is coming up next and then shrink back the credits.

Yes that is my favorite version of the Who's the Boss? Theme but it's rarely heard because it was only on for about 7 episodes... to bad they don't have that version for download.

It's probably not up for download because it was used so briefly.

Who's The Boss theme song news--
Seasons 1 & 2: To my knowledge are unavailable.

Seasons 3 - 6: This version can be found on the CD "Television's Greatest Hits Vol. 6: Remote Control". The first line also changed with this version from "There is more to life than what you're living" to "There's a time for love and a time for living".

Seasons 7 & 8: This version can be found on the CD "Tube Tunes Vol. 3: The '80s".

Both CDs should easy enough to track down on the net. Hope this helps.:bye:

I was able to record the rare season 6 theme song. I have the MP3 file, the quality isn't the best, but I have the MP3 of it.

How do I send it to the webmaster?

I don't understand. Was there a different theme for the first few episodes of season 6, and then they switched to the theme that ION is playing in their episodes now, or are we talking about the theme that they used for S6-8?

I forgot all about that theme until I heard ION play it. I was completely surprised to hear it for the first time on ION, but I actually like it a lot.

I like the theme for the later seasons better. My mom has the Television's Greatest Hits Remote Control that has the Season 3-6 theme.

They also had the short version of season 6 theme as well tonight.

I think ION should skip season 7, in my opinion, as the last episodes of season 6 would be a better lead-in for season 8 than 7.

I have not seen much of season 7 or 8. Around that time I stopped watching the show on ABC, and NAN didn't have much a chance to air it, so I'm looking forward to it! :)

well dont get your hopes up to high for Season 7, that season is awful IMO. lol.

Season 8 isn't the funniest season but it was a nice way to wrap the show up. :)
