View Full Version : Something I noticed about Diane

I was just realizing, that though Diane constantly is condescending towards the people at the bar about their lack of culture and intelligent activity, yet, she was pretty much always nice to Coach and Woody, even though they were obviously the least intelligent (at least IQ wise that is)

It makes me realize that Diane thinks that high culture is better, and is upset because she really does feel like Sam and the others are relatively intelligent, and is condescending towards them because they dont use it

anyone noticed that?

I agree! Diane seems to only like Woody & Coach-unsure what she thinks about Sam, Norm, Cliff, Woody, Carla, etc. I mean, Carla only likes Sam & dislikes Diane & Cliff a lot of the time-doesn't she like ANYONE besides Sam?

Diane and Coach had more of a father/daughter relationship. Diane and Woody were more like older sister/younger brother.

I think Diane was upset because the characters didn't use their intelligence to the same advantages as Diane did with hers.

For example, I think Norm was just as smart, if not smarter than Diane -- but he prefered the life of sitting around, watching the tube, and above all.... having some beer. It wasn't that he was incapable of doing it, he just prefered the laid-back lifestyle.

I think the same goes for Sam and Carla.
As for Cliff -- dumbass.
Coach, well, too many baseballs to the head.

But Woody, wasn't as dumb as he made himself look. For example, the episode where Rebecca forgets to renew the liquor license, and the guys play poker in the back. Woody used his farmboy image to his fullest advantage.
