my question, for 3 people, 200 dollars for dinner...thats like 65 dollars a person. is that just a crazy amount, or is that normal in high class places in new york?

Yes that is quite normal in any fine dining restaurant...Not just in New York but most anywhere that has a restaurant that is 4 or 5 star quality, especially Lobster

Well if they all ordered lobster (and I beleive there was a bottle of wine on the table) that is about right. Throw in the fact that they were in NYC and that was a steal!
