T-Birds: The Animated Series episode guide

Season 1

1. Secret Originisation (1)

The Tracys and Lady Penelope team up against alien invaders, but soon find they need to call in help.

NOTE: All three parts of Secret Originisation bears a partial resemblence to the undercover invasion of Earth by "White Martians" in several different Justice League story arcs, written by Mark Wade and Grant Morrison.
The tripod war machines bear a strong resemblence to H.G. Wells' "The War of the Worlds." Notice also that General Wells' is named in honor of H.G. Wells.
Despite that they are in the next two parts, Fermat and Tin Tin do not appear in this part
The two alien shapeshfiters disguised as scientists look like Dr Beaker and Professor Polkiss who appeared in Supercar.

2. Secret Originisation (2)

Jeff, Ohana, Tin Tin, Fermat and Kyrano team up with Lady Penelope and the boys to defeat the alien invaders, but one of them falls in battle and the rest are captured.

3. Secret Originisation (3)

The Tracys and their friends race to rescue two of their own before the Imperium gets to Earth and completes its conquest.

4. Nemesis

The Hood tries to take over the world with help of a satellite designed on Tracy Island. The helpers of The Hood try to kill Virgil, Lady Penelope, Tin Tin, Gordon, Fermat and Alan, but they can escape and free Scott, Kyrano and Ohana. After this, the gang try to free Jeff but The Hood escapes.

NOTE: John, Brains and Parker do not appear in this episode.
The terrorists in The High Ground appear but do not speak.
Scott mentions John when saying "Oh bummer, where's John when you need him?"

5. Perils Of The Island

While they are on Bunny Island, the gang find a criminal named Hector Con Carne and after Gordon's girlfriend Atlanta Shore disappears, Jeff, Scott, John, Virgil, Lady Penelope, Gordon, Brains and Parker realize that Atlanta has been kidnapped so they figure out where Hector is at. Scott, John, Gordon, Virgil and Jeff plan a rescue mission, but they'll have to go through an electric wall to succeed. Can Gordon master the courage and show he deserves his girlfriend's father's respect?

NOTE: Alan, Tin Tin, Fermat, Ohana and Kyrano do not appear in this episode.
Atlanta Shore is also a character in Stingray.
The necklace Major Dr Ghastly has on is the same cat's eye the Replicia twins will have in later episodes.

6. Out Of Command

Seemingly ordinary men across America keep going berserk and attacking women and unaffected men and our heroes find out that a former USAF colonel has reviving the idea using their positions and Jeff and Scott also fall victim.

NOTE: Gordon, Tin Tin, Brains and Fermat do not appear in this episode.
The colonel sounds a lot like Hector Con Carne.
When Scott goes crazy, he acts a bit like Ezekiel Rage.
Gordon is mentioned at least 7 times even when Alan says "Where's Gordo when you really need him?"

7. The Cat Man of International Rescue

While experimenting with a Matter Transporter in her laboratory in Dimmsdale, Florida, the Hood uses Dr Claire Dinkleburg's cat serum to turn people into cats.

NOTE: Lady Penelope and Parker do not appear in this episode.
We learn that Alan screams like a girl.
Chet is often seen in Fairly Odd Parents.
Virgil had a really bad habit of picking his nose when he was 12 years old.

8. Double Trouble

When the team find out that the Replicia twins have kidnapped teen singing sensation T.J Barrett, Jeff sends Scott and Virgil to rescue him.

NOTE: This is the first appearence of Jason and Sara or 'those Replicias' as Jeff calls them.
Only John, Jeff, Scott, Brains and Virgil appear in this episode.
John has the Shiny Teeth and Me CD.
Gordon and Alan (despite being absent) are mentioned.

9. The Big Spectrum Combat

The Tracys get mixed up in a fight between Spectrum and the Mysterons and Captains Scarlet and Blue decide to help them even when Colonel White and Jeff are captured by Mysteron agents.

NOTE: Only Jeff, Scott, Virgil, Gordon and Alan appear in this episode.
The Mysterons now sound more like Kang in the Simpsons.
We find out that Virgil's full name is Virgil Daniel Tracy, Gordon's is Gordon Duncan Tracy and Alan's is Alan Robert Tracy.
Captain Scarlet sounds a bit like Winston Dusworth from the Fairly Odd Parents episode A Case Of Diary-Uh.
Captain Blue now sounds a lot like Potsie from Happy Days.
Jeff's full name is Jefferson Beaumont Tracy.

11. The Revenge Of The Lone Wolf

The Tracys discover that an old friend of Scott's is turning all the old male gang mambers of California in werewolves.

NOTE: The Hood is reviving the Lone Wolf Pack from choosing old gang members in California.
This episode tells us that John and Scott were born in Los Angeles and Virgil, Gordon and Alan were all born in San Fransisco.

12. The High Ground

Jeff is abducted by a group of terrorists while trying to stop a group of teenagers from going near the docks and when the boys find out, they are also captured by their leader- The Hood.

NOTE: Ohana, Tin Tin, Kyrano and Brains do not appear in this episode.
We learn that Gordon is right handed.
Scott's full name is Scott Malcolm Tracy.
Virgil is 20 years old.
We learn that Virgil is left handed.
Lady Penelope has a sister who is 3 years younger than her.
This episode also tells us that Lady P and Scott have a thing for each other when he tells her to 'move over' instead of 'get out' when she falls asleep in his hotel bed.

13. Birdfellas

When the Tracys discover that a mob is on the loose in Chicago, they decide to investigate only to discover that they are all man hating gangsters and Scott once dated their leader- Miss Vicky.

NOTE: John, Kyrano, Ohano and Brains do not appear in this episode. Gordon appears but doesn't speak.
This episode bears a resemblance to the Futurama episode Bender Gets Made.
When Alan finds out that Scott dated Miss Vicky, he mentions the time that Gordon dated Atlanta. (See The Perils Of Bunny Island)
Virgil mentions that there was a movie based on the mob experience Scott is going through to Alan.

Season 2

14. Nightmare in London

Brains's Neutronic Monster-Maker transforms Scott into a werewolf, Parker into a vampire and Jeff into Frankenstein's monster. However, Brains's invention works too well, making those three real monsters!

NOTE: John is a vegetarian.
Alan's blood type is A positive.
Hector Con Carne, Miss Vicky and T.J Barrett are mentioned in this episode.
Virgil mentions that The Hood is single.
This episode is similiar to the Fairly OddParents episode "Scarily Oddparents."

15. The Mighty Homer

Having failed a year earlier to steal the plans for the Nuclear Power Plant in Springfield, the Hood turns local power plant safety supervisor Homer Simpson into a mouse.

NOTE: This is Lady Penelope's second mission and visit to Tracy Island since International Rescue began operating.
Incredibly, Alan screams like a girl 10 times in this episode.
We discover that Gordon gets space sickness in this episode.

16. Boys Will Be Boys

When their favorite pop singer T.J Barrett is abducted by the Hood, the Tracy boys freak out.

NOTE: This is the only episode in which we see the boys bedrooms.
Kyrano, Ohana and Parker do not appear in this episode.
The song the boys sing is Moonlight Love which was in the Happy Days episode Stolen Memories.
T.J sings Thunderbird Baby and Listen To Me, Jean.
The Hood says he hates music at the end.

17. The Undertakers (1)

While on a mission in Melbourne, Australia, Jeff and the boys discovers thousands of dollars in counterfeit money hidden in a casket inside of a hearse he is working on and takes some of it as evidence. The counterfeiters learn of the missing money and figure it was taken by Dr Epstein but the counterfieters capture John and Virgil when they cross their path.

18. The Undertakers (2)

Scott discovers that Dr Epstein has survived an explosion at the secondary school triggered by the counterfeiters. The counterfeiters don't know that Dr Epstein has survived, so a phony funeral is staged at their funeral parlor to entrap them.

NOTE: Lady Penelope and Parker do not appear in this two part episode.
Brains and Fermat only appear in part 2.
Gordon mentions the events of The Mighty Homer.

19. Treble Cross

The Chief Test-Pilot of Slaton Air Base is captued and replaced by a 'double agent' in a staged car crash but the Thunderbirds know an imposter when they see one.

NOTE: There is a reference to the Captain Scarlet & The Mysterons episode of the same name in this episode.
Gordon says that Alan suffered from vertigo when he was only 7 years old.

20. The Plant Show

The Hood immediately claim responsibility for the attacks of giant plants and then kidnaps teen singing sensation Johnny Gordon in the process.

NOTE: Parker does not appear in this episode.
Scott, Virgil, Gordon and Alan as the Tracy Brothers from Boys Will Be Boys are seen as their pop star group again.
Johnny Gordon sings The Hood's Icky.
This is the third time we see the photographs of the Tracys from The Cat Man Of International Rescue are seen on Jeff's desk.

21. Incident at UWM

The bickering factions of a UWM science class is forced to cooperate with each other when the students and the gang accidently jetison their classroom into space with themselves in it but thanks to the Thunderbirds, they get back safely.

Virgil mentions the movie Incident at UWM to Alan, Fermat, Tin Tin and Gordon.

22. A Family Vacation

While on vacation in Hawaii, the Tracys encounter a female aqaunaut named Dr Keira West and her niece Marty but Jeff and Keira end up kidnapped by the Hood.

NOTE: Only the Tracys appear in this episode. The other cast members are absent.
This episode is also known as Dad's Girlfriend
Keira and Marty make their first appearances on the series.
Marty's full name is Martine Alison West and Keira's is Keira Judith West.
This episode contains the most interaction between Jeff and Alan.
We learn that Scott developed his allergy of cats from Jeff in this episode.

23. The Winchester Tapes

Scott tries successfully to get to Brooklyn to see his ex-girlfriend Captain Becky Gilmore for the weekend but the evil Dr Philip Winchester has other plans.

NOTE: Virgil paints the portrait of Lady Penelope sitting on Jeff's desk hugging Scott that will be seen hanging in Jeff's office during the remainder of the series.
The Hood does not appear but is heard.

24. I'm Gonna Get You, Tracy

When Alan hits a mugger with his drumkit at Happy Burger in South Park, he has him put in jail. Meanwhile, the boys have the hotel room to themselves after Jeff leaves. But when Alan hears that 'the Jackhammer' has escaped, he gets very scared.

NOTE: Brains and Fermat do not appear in this episode.
The robber is named John "The Jackhammer" Rogan.
The 3 Revenge movies Gordon and Virgil saw are Revenge Is Sweet, Sweet Sweet Revenge and Revenge Equals Pain.
The title is possibly a reference to the movie "I'm Gonna Get You, Sucker"

25. The Incredible Hulkinator

The Mayoral election in South Park is coming and mayorial candidate Sylvia Fisher diabolical plan which becomes even difficult when Sylvia tests the growth serum on Scott turning him into a muscular monster which carries Lady Penelope across the city.

NOTE: This is the 2nd episode that Ohana and Kyrano don't appear in.
We learn that Scott is 24 years old and John is 22 years old.
Tin Tin mentions the Incredible Hulk at least twice.

26. Scott Vs Tommy

Scott's old pal Tommy Pearl is better than Scott at every sport they play, and Scott wonders how he will ever impress Lady Penelope. So he daydreams about how he, as an International Rescue agent, would try to impress Lady Penelope before he falls for her rival... Tommy.

NOTE: There are many references to the original Thunderbirds in this episode.

27. It's Only Rock and Roll........ But I Hate It

A Tracy Brothers concert tour stop leads to trouble when the Hood kidnaps Jeff by mistake. Through a dangerous chain of events, Jeff is finally found by International Rescue and then, they get on with the show.

NOTE: There are a few Tracy Brothers, T.J Barrett and Johnny Gordon songs in this episode including Scott singing 'Thunderbird Baby'.
Parker, Kyrano, Ohana and Brains don't appear in this episode. Fermat does not appear but is mentioned by Alan.
We learn here that Gordon happens to be an undercover reporter when not singing or saving the world, Alan is his cameraman, Scott and Virgil are cops and John is an astronomer.
Jeff mentions that Scott is also the Tracy Brothers songwriter.

28. T.J For Sale

When the Hood attempts to abduct teen singing sensation T.J Barrett once again, the Thunderbirds spring into action as the Tracy Brothers but while he is in T.J's dressing room, second rate teen singing sensation Jim Tucker is mistaken for T.J and kidnapped.

NOTE: Only Jeff, Scott, Lady Penelope, Virgil, Tin Tin, Alan and Gordon appear in this episode.
Lady Penelope and Tin Tin both have T.J's album T.J For Sale.

Scott is asked to pilot a new superjet, the XM-2000, for an air show in Paris but the Tracy family has to somehow get a brainwashed Colonel Tim Casey free, stop the Hood and get his mind back into his own body...without getting him killed.

Gordon is an admirer of Capt. Troy Tempest of Stingray.

When pop diva Britney Scott is kidnapped by the Replicia twins, the Tracys are sent to find the real Britney before the troublesome duo destroys the lives of Britney's fans.

31. Argorrible Attack

The Hood unleashes his Agorrible forces on the city of Texas, ordering them to give the townsfolk nightmares before nightfall but when Scott gets nightmares from the Argorribles, International Rescue (with help from Captain Blue and Captain Scarlet) fights back.

NOTE: Kyrano does not appear in this episode. Ohana appears but doesn't speak.
Lady Penelope's full name is Lady Penelope Ann Crieghton-Ward.
Captain Scarlet's identity is revealed as Paul Metcalfe and Captain Blue's is Adam Svenson as Jason Marsden and Anson Williams returned to voice their Captain Scarlet characters from The Big Spectrum Combat.

32. So I Dated An Axe Murderer

Mesmerino, a hip hypnotist, hypnotises Scott to quit his job at International Rescue and to fall in love with his ex-girlfriend, Kelly Harper, a female axe murderer, who has just escaped from jail.

NOTE: Brains, Fermat, Ohana and Kyrano don't appear in this episode.
John mentions that Kelly is a real live bunny boiler as she tried to kill Scott at least 20 times.

33. Rock and Roll

Amidst the splendor of El Dorado Canyon in Boulder, the boys climb mountains-literally-and while facing the insecurities, Virgil discovers that Gordon has vertigo (a fear of heights) while a rock climber finds out that her daughter suffers vertigo too.

NOTE: Alan, Tin Tin and Fermat do not appear in this episode.
The Hood is seen here for the first time without Transom or Mullion.
Kelly looks a lot like Gina from the Simspons episode Wandering Juvie.

34. Two Of Our VJs Are Missing

In Hill Valley, two VJs are kidnapped by the Hood and Jeff's ex-girlfriend Colonel Pamela Bordeux while the gang are getting a record deal.

NOTE: Parker, Brains, Kyrano and Ohana do not appear in this episode.
Drake and Josh look and sound like their voice artists Drake Bell and Josh Peck.
This is the first of five appearences of Jeff's ex-girlfriend and Scott's USAF Colonel Pamela Bordeux.

35. Take My Girlfriend, Please

When Scott decides to reform his old motorcycle gang "the Jugle Cats", (The gang consists of Mark Carlson, Eddie Fox, Scott, Lenny Dinkleburg and Nick Marsharelli), his old rivals, "the Corbas", decide to get back at him by abducting Lady Penelope thinking that she is Scott's girlfriend.

NOTE: This is the first episode in which Lady Penelope kisses Scott.
The events of Revenge Of The Lone Wolf are mentioned- Jeff remembers the Jungle Cats as well as Scott does.

36. Return of the Mysterons

When the Mysterons kidnap Jeff, the boys decied to let Captain Scarlet help them rescue their kidnapped father.

NOTE: Brains, Ohana, Kyrano and Parker do not apear in this episode. John does not appear but is mentioned.
This is Captain Scralet's only solo appearence. Scott made 3 appearences on Captain Scarlet & the Mysterons: The Animated Series, John only appeared once, Virgil and Lady Penelope made 2 each and Jeff, Gordon and Alan all appeared with Scott and Virgil in The Big Spectrum Combat.
The fight between a brainwashed Scott and Captain Scarlet is based on a 1920s gun battle.

37. The Trap Is Set

Captain Hanson becomes a prisoner to the Hood in a carnival's Haunted House. Transom traps him in one of her 'bubbles'. The Carnival of Doom which belonged to the Kent Brothers and the Tracys and their pals decide to rescue him.

NOTE: The 'lazy eyed psycho' insult came from Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery (1997) as Virgil tells Scott.
Captain Hanson sounds and looks like Kevin Conroy now.
Jeff is 48 years old.

38. Once Married To The Mob

When Jeff and the gang save a ship from a storm, Mr Seamus O' Hara offers them a free vacation at his Dublin hotel but one of the employees mistakes Scott as an Irish assassin.

NOTE: Scott was nearly married to an Irish mobster's daughter called Casey Flanagan.
Casey looks a lot like Dr Keira West from Dad's Girlfriend.

39. The Kidnapping

Brains creates a special dream machine so the gang can see what they were dreaming about the night before especially Alan who is scared of water. When Colonel Pamela Borduex takes control of Alan's dream, the gang must enter the dream to stop the nightmare.

NOTE: Pamela sounds like a female version of the Hood.
Jeff tells Scott that he dated Pamela for 3 years.

The team invite Jeff's ex-girlfriend, Dr Keira West and her niece Marty, to their Annual International Rescue Picnic only to find that it has far more villains than they can handle!

NOTE: Keira and Marty return in this episode and join International Rescue.
Brains tells Scott that the Hood always hosts an Annual We Hate International Rescue Picnic at the same time Jeff has the Annual International Rescue Picnic.

While the gang are in Korea, Scott discovers that his ex-girlfriend GoldieFinger is planning to steal all the gold in a nearby villiage with help from the Hood.

We learn that Scott dated GoldieFinger in High School.

The Warriors, a motorbike gang, cause trouble on the roads of Salt Lake City by blocking the traffic and terrorizing the cars' passengers but Scott's old school pal Ross Henderson ends up captured by the Warriors themselves.

NOTE: There is a reference to the Marlon Brando movie The Wild One (1954) in this episode.
Scott has had his motorbike Old Dusty for 8 years.

43. Just Us International Rescue Agents

When the crew of Stingray are captured by the Anti-Thunderbird Force Five, International Rescue rushes to the rescue and the two gangs join in battle against the five villains deciding the fate of the whole planet.

NOTE: Kelsey Grammer voices Titan as well as the Hood, Anson Williams voices Troy Tempest as well as Jeff Tracy and Dederich Bader voices X20 as well as John Tracy and Kyrano.
The Anti Thunderbird Force Five are the Hood, Colonel Pamela Bordeux, the Replicia twins and Titan.
Gordon knew Atlanta since Grade School.
Atlanta is 18 years old and is 3 weeks younger than Gordon.
Andrea Taylor reprsies her role as Atlanta since her last appearence in Prisoners Of Bunny Island.

44. Father's Day

Brains and Jeff share a day in the life of their kids as both are dragged into the worst International Rescue conflict on their special holiday when Colonel Pamela Bordeux has other plans.

Only Brains, Fermat and the Tracys appear in this episode.
In this episode, we learn that Brains's full name is Hiriam Kyle Hackenbacker.
This is the only time we see Brains, Jeff, John and Scott brainwashed against their own kin by Colonel Pamela Bordeux.
3rd appearence of Colonel Pamela Bordeux.
Jeff is cycling with a rollerblading Virgil, Scott is motorbiking with a skateboarding Gordon, John is cycling with a scootering Alan and Brains is cycling with Fermat.

When an old detective friend of Virgil's is kidnapped by a team of mobsters, the gang decide to take on the task of solving the crime themselves and planning a vendetta on the mob.

46. To the Rescue (2)

The International Resuce team are hot on Fat Tony's trail, who leads them to a Chinese laundry and then to a fishing vessel where they find Officer Frankie Fox.

NOTES: Brains, Ohana, and Kyrano do not appear in this episode.
John has no dialouge in part 2.
Officer Fox has known Virgil since Jr High.
The Tracys lived in an apartment in Los Angeles from after Nicola Tracy died to when they emegrated to Tracy Island.

The Tracys and a female pilot named Alison battle a group of women-hating terrorists who hold a group of women and a female diplomat hostage on a train to Melbourne, Australia.

NOTE: John, Brains, Kyrano, Ohana and Fermat don't appear in this episode.
Virgil mentions the Roseanne episode Roseambo to Gordon, Scott and Alan.
The female diplomat is called Zeta Marie Robinson.

48. Wheezin' Ed

Scott convinces the gang to go to Elk Island off the coast of Aberdeen, where, unknown to them, two men are plotting a counterfeit coin scheme.

NOTE: Kyrano and Ohana do not appear in this episode. Gordon and Tin Tin appear but don't speak.
Three of the girls are called Kelly, Sabrina and Jill as mentioned in Charlie's Angels.
Scott mentions a movie called Wheezin' Ed he saw in 2005.
Even if the counterfeiters hadn't been caught, the coins they made were only pennies and not designed well either.

49. The Switching Hour

The gang decide to team with IR agents from London and hit the underworld with disastrous results.

NOTE: Scott, like Jeff, has three different punishments for anyone who disobeys him: "Bad", "really bad", and "you don't want to know".
We find out that Virgil and John both like cats.
Gordon's IQ is 134 despite being airheaded.
Ohana, Kyrano and Tin Tin do not appear in this episode.

50. Servant Of Evil

It's Scott's birthday but the Hood kidnaps the rest of the family. Now aided by Brains, Ohana, Kyrano, Tin Tin, Fermat, Lady Penelope and Parker, Scott must befriend the reluctant giant Karox and free his family from the Hood's Prison of Agony.

NOTES: We find out that Scott's birthday is on 4th April like in the original series.
Transom and Mullion do not appear in this episode.
When Jeff says something about Scott's ex-girlfriends, he is referring to some girls who appeared in previous episodes.

51. Snowstorm

Three skiers are involved in a ski slope race but when they are caught in an avalanche thanks to the Hood, they decide that they need help from who else- International Rescue.

NOTE: Lady Penelope, Ohana, Kyrano and Parker do not appear in this episode.
Virgil refers to Scott's blue motorbike as 'Old Rusty' for the first time since Space Invaders.
The boys watch the movie Don't Look Back with Tin Tin and Fermat at the beginning of this episode.

52. Scariest Home Videos

Stuck having to baby-sit their cousin Alison while Scott gets the cold, the boys fool around with their video camera. Unfortunately, the Hood end up kidnapping her and turning her into a pre-teen killing machine while the guys are their way to rescue her but Jeff has no idea Scott is with them.

NOTE: John, Ohana, Kyrano and Brains do not appear in this episode. Fermat appears but does not speak.
The names of Alison's pet chameleons are Amelia and Amy.
Virgil mentions an episode of Eerie, Indiana called America's Scariest Home Video (a.k.a. Scariest Home Videos)

53. Bitter Reunions

Jeff meets Tim, the son of his old friend, Jim Scam. Unfortunately, Tim's father was killed in a plane crash 10 years ago, which means Tim's stronger and more experienced than the boys -- and hell-bent on taking everything away from Jeff including the Thunderbirds.

NOTE: Jim Scam was Jeff's best friend in college.
Scott says Tim wants to ruin Jeff's life the way Jeff destroyed his father's and take everything from him.
Fermat and Brains appear but do not speak. Lady Penelope and Parker do not appear in this episode.
