Would you do it??

Not DVD-Rs, Im talking trading complete seasons or best-ofs with fellow TVDVD fans.

Definitely. I've been thinking about this because I think I'm willing to give up All In The Family season 2. Plus I have a 4 episode Good Times dvd that I bought before the first season was released. I'd also be willing to trade for your Strasky & Hutch if I hadn't already used my Sony points to get it. (Still haven't received it, it was lost in the mail, so they're sending a replacement.)

Damn, that was what I was hoping to lead to with this thread.
Thanks anyways.

Any other takers??

I'm sure there's some Three's Company fans who'll want it because there's an episode that season with John Ritter.

hopefully.... but I may just sell it, seeing that MediaPlay just started buying used CDs/DVDs again.

I'd trade my SBTB DVD's for The Simpsons Season 2 & 3.

I don't want my SBTB DVD's anymore, and I have both the 1&2/3&4 sets :)

There's specific stuff I'd like to have, but I'm open to any offers, so if anyone is interested in these, let me know.

Good Times (Single Disc from Columbia House - First four episodes, season one)
I bought this before they started coming out in season sets

All In The Family - Season 2
I watched the whole thing once, preferred season 3, so I doubt I'd be interested in watching this again

What's Happening - Complete First Season (Time Life version - packaging is the only difference from CT version)
I got a CT version for uniformity sake, so I can part with the Time Life version

Anybody interested in Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids? I have a 10 volume set from TimeLife that I want to either trade or sell. If you buy it from me, I'll offer you a real good price. Let me know.

no offense but why would you trade the DVD because you have it on VHS? That's like getting rid of a cd because you have it on cassette.

OK let me explain, i was able to record seasons 1 and 2 of Good Times from TV ONE and they have shown things that will never ever been seen on a DVD. There are the Original CBS versions and it's something i want to cherish for many many years. I have things thAt you can't get on a DVD which is why i never bought the 3rd season of Good Times. Those things Are original CBS voiceovers in the beginning or ending of a episode. GREAT STUFF. That will always be more appealing that a DVD.

Maybe someone else will come in and make it a three way deal, since I have Good Times already. Someone who wants Good Times can get it from you, I get something I want/need from that person, then you can get AITF Season 2 from me, similar to a three-team baseball trade.

Still looking for willing takers of:

*Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids - 10 volume set from TimeLife
*Good Times - Collector's Series (single disc, first four episodes)
*What's Happening - Season 1 (TimeLife version)

I updated my list of stuff I'd like. I know it's a long shot finding someone willing to part with some of those titles, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I'd love the first season of Smallville to complete my collection, but I don't suppose I have anything you want.

I'd also trade movie dvds, for anyone interested.

Since I posted, I sold off my SBTB DVD's. Somebody here had an interest in buying it from me, but I never heard back from them...so I sold mine on eBay. My All in the Family and Curb Your Enthusiasm DVD's saw the same end...Sold on eBay.

I don't have any TV DVD's to sell...but I'm considering selling/trading my movie DVD's. There are a few of them I want to get rid of. :)

Oh wait...the TV part is a lie. I actually want to get rid of a "The Lucy Show" DVD I have - it's from the 60's with 7 episodes, and two of them have Carol Burnett in it.

To answer the question, no I wouldn't do it. I prefer my DVDs brand spanking new.

21 Jump Street

I don't know if you want to trade this, or if you just want to review it yourself. But I should be receiving this through ClassicTVHits.... but I can transfer it to you if you want.

Sure, if you wouldn't mind, I'd take it. Just make sure you don't have any friends or family members who'd want it. ;)

I prefer my DVDs brand spanking new.

I'm actually the same way 99.9% of the time. I like knowing that no other set of fingers have been plastered on any dvds I own, but in the case of my upgrading my Fat Albert collection for example, I figure I'd have a better chance at getting something of value through trading than getting someone to pay money for them, though of course I'd take money too.

Otherwise, I'd also just buy something new before considering taking something used.
