View Full Version : Nintendo Help Needed

Since a few of you are Nintendo experts from the SNES years I suppose this is as good a place as any to ask for some help with a couple of games I’m stuck on:

First of all, in ‘The Secret Of Evermore’, how the hell do you beat the monster in the swamp? I think the monster is called ‘Salabog’. I’m not sure though cos it’s been so long since I last played it. There’s only so much virtual ass-whupping a person can take before they give up completely.

The other question I have pertains to ‘The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past’. I want to know how to find the blue pendant in the palace in the desert. I’ve searched all over that goddam palace and the surrounding desert and I still can’t find it. Do I need to find the red pendant in the palace on the hill to the North first? If so, how? Cos I’ve searched all over that palace too and I can’t find any pendant there either. I already have the green pendant so that’s not a problem.
Do I need to get the sword from the forest first? Because I’ve tried that - I found it but I couldn’t free it from the stone. How can I get the sword out of the forest?

I got both of these games second-hand and neither of them had the instruction booklets with them. Maybe if I had the instructions I would already know the answers to my questions. Please forgive my ignorance if that is the case but any help would be appreciated. As you know, I can’t watch TV anymore so Nintendo is my only hope of staying sane.

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I LOVE A LINK TO THE PAST!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you get the green pendent first, you've already done that.

I assume you've gotten the Book of Medoura (sp?), and that you've already gotten the Big Key and The Glove. If not, the Big Key is located after you first enter the dungeon...Go up three times, right once, then down twice. There's a door in the middle right side of that dungeon where you can get the Big Key, and it's there. Walk through that door...Avoid that green guy that spits red lasers at you and then enter the next room (you'll have to go up). Make a mad dash for the chest at the north part of the room that contains the Big Key.

Now walk allllllll the way over to the VERY upper left part of the dungeon (up twice, go left 3 or 4 times AFTER exiting the room with the red laser guy). Enter the top left door that you see there, clear out the room and go to the next room and get the glove.

Now...You need to walk to the bottom left part of the dungeon (I think two or three down after getting the glove and leaving that room). I think there's a red laser guy there, just avoid him and leave the dungeon. DON'T LEAVE THE WAY YOU ENTERED THE DUNGEON.

Now...leave the dungeon out of that other entrance, then walk up to where there's a ring of 4 rocks...Lift one up and go into that dungeon. It's easy playing from there, and you get the blue pendant there. The boss is three worms that come out of the ground - just hit their heads to kill them. Good luck :)

Then...Go get the red pendant. It's quite a challenge to get it. After you get the red pendant, YES you get the sword...then you have to hurry back to Hyrule Castle and defeat Agahnim. :D

You have very good taste in games. It's been years since I've played secret of evermore, so I'd try going to www.gamefaqs.com and looking there.

You ever play Secret of Mana?

you could try going to www.gamefaqs.com, it's helped me with everything.

I <3 A LINK TO THE PAST. Unfortunately my brother lent it to his friend about a year ago and he wont ask for it back. i'm about to buy another damn copy of it on ebay.
