I figure I'll probably die from cancer as there's a history of cancer on both sides. I don't obsess about it, but that's my guess.

i'm pretty sure my mom got cancer from smoking (no one ever told me) otherwise if it's something i could have inherited i'll probably die from it. but seriously i probably will die from suicide sometime or another, more likely within a few years. otherwise probably some kind of tragedy before i'm middle aged.

LOL, very true. Don't get me wrong...I like your new name, but something tells me you'll always be Nirvana to me. You had that name for so long.

Seems like everyone in my family dies from cancer or a heart attack so thats probably how I'll go.

I never notice registration dates. I've noticed you've got a good memory for all kinds of dates. :)

No, not recently. Like it says in my sig I believe in eternal life. (Of the soul, that is).

I used to be afraid all throughout my childhood about dying, but I realized that it wasn't that I was afraid of dying, it was I was afraid of ceasing to exist, I was afraid of dying young and tragically. I remember when I was about 11 years old I was telling one of my parents that I felt like I was going to die young. They just brushed it off because they knew I had an interest in reincarnation. It's weird, but sometimes I feel afraid because I'll become aware of being alive and then I think I'm going to die someday. It might not be until 40 or 50 years from now, but the awareness scares me.

Um...I don't know, someone will probably murder me for annoying them. So...that gives me about *looks at watch* 2, maybe 3 weeks tops. :roller:

I usually figure it out by typing their old username in the search space and finding a post by them when they had their old name and see if it has the new one.

Nice.

I always figured I'd either get cancer or be murdered. Either that or I'd drink myself to death.
I suppose it's up to me to prevent the latter from happening. There's not much I can do about the other two.

I keep having dreams that I die from a problem in my lungs. I used to think about suicide but there are so many things I wanna do before I die.

Reg. dates are much easier for me to remember. Yours is REALLLLLLLLLY easy to remember because you registered on Leap Year this year, and we haven't had a Leap Year since 2000. ;)

I always thought I'd be shot or something. I've always wanted to die doing something fun though. All my friends are like I wanna die in my sleep. I just laugh at them. I think going in your sleep is just..well it's not how I wanna go.

I just remember from the type of avatars, so when I saw Lisa Marie I knew it was Nirvana.

I registered only to post in 1 thread on the Leave it to Beaver board but I then decided to post more. I never wanted to come to Chit Chat at first but my friend, who was here when I registered, told me that there was no point in registering just to post 1 message so he convinced me to come check it out:)

and back on topic I always used to have dreams that I had cancer (which is in my family). There is disbetes and cancer in my family on my mom's side so I will probably die from that. My dad's side dies from smoking.

I just realized I never answered the damn question.

I'd probably die in my sleep...As far as I know, there's no history of serious diseases or cancer on either side of the family, so I'm thankful for that :)

I think about it a lot. I'll probably die from heart disease since bad hearts run on both sides of my family.

I hope I die in my sleep. I heard it doesn't hurt. But I all ways found that confusing, who would know who wasn't already dead?

An obvious sign is if you go to check on that person and you feel their arm or whatever...it'll be cold.

Yeah, I think about that often. A distant friend of mine just died 2 days ago in a car crash... speeding and not wearing her seat belt. I hope I NEVER die in a car crash.

The ones that would probably make sense the most are lung cancer from inhaling second hand smoke my whole life plus smoking for 3 years, heart disease, or alcoholism. The latter two run in my family. I hope to hell I never die from drug use, although that's not a chance right now, thank God. I'd rather just die in my sleep...

I love being so positive.

Almost everyone on my mom's side of the family has died young, my mom, my uncle, my cousin), so I hope I don't go young

If anything I would die of diabetes, heart disease or something like that :(

Last night I had a dream that some psychic told me I'd die at age 83. Weird... I never have had a dream like that. (Must be because I read this thread last night.)

Honestly, I've never given it much thought. I've always expected myself to die of old age.

I'm guessing I'll have some kind of heart disease because several relatives have had problems with that. But who knows?

I've seen a few posts mentioning suicide. Since it is a serious topic, here are a few quotes from a book I have called, "Life After Death" by Mary T. Browne...

"...Newspapers are full of stories about people from all walks of life who choose suicide thinking it will be an end to their pain. But suicide is not acceptable: It is an act of rage against the soul. Someone who takes their physical life neither lives nor dies; instead, the spirit resides between the earth and the spirit worlds until the time of its normal passing (the time that the body would have passed over if death hadn't been self-inflicted). This state- not dead or alive- is a terrible condition of existence. Ultimately you don't escape any hardship by ending your life. It's not possible to kill yourself because nobody dies. We merely change form. People reincarnate in a future life with the same problems that drove them to suicide. It's wiser to fight through the trouble during your lifetime than to be forced to repeat it in a future life. ..

... When someone does commit suicide, the soul is still attached to the physical world, but it can't be seen. In this state of limbo, the soul is aware of the pain it has caused to him- or herself and to others. It's like living in a terrible dream-state. Death for one who passes over by natural causes has been compared to sleeping a very peaceful sleep. A suicide has a very restless, tormented sleep..."

I hope this makes at least one person reconsider.
