Long Beach is quite a hefty distance south of Santa Monica. I haven't been there in years. As I don't drive, I can't even give you an approximate freeway time for the ride.

Anyone else?

It is quiet a distance, you have to go over the Vincent Thomas Bridge and then take the freeway, its about 31 miles according to mapquest.

Although like Mysty Eyes I haven't been to LB in a long time.

Quite a long way. Remember: This is L.A. traffic. Probably is a good hour drive.
