Who here thinks the show will last until 2008? I do cause its a funny show and I think It can make it until 2008.

It would be awesome to see this show last 10 years, but to me, it doesn't seem like a show CBS would keep on for that long.

Well you never know cause Everybody Loves Raymond lasted 9 nine years (96-05).Just wait and see.

Yeah, that is true, but Raymond is a show that is praised by many critics and has been nominated for many awards. You rarely hear any talk about KOQ and when compared with Ray, they have basically won nothing. However, it has lasted 6 seasons already, so who knows!

Yea I think part of the reason why I want this show to last until 2008 is because thats around when Im done with High School.Cause I'll be done with it in June of 2008.So if thats when the show ends and it started in 1998 then that shows kinda like a ten year timeline to me.Cause when it started I was in 3rd grade I think and then when its done(if it ends in 2008) there I will be with my diploma.So it would be like a timeline and It would be a part of my life.Cause everyday I'd watch it.Plus I think it will make it t 2008 and because Kevin and Leah said they will keep doing the show as long as people wanted it.So neither of them will probably give up unless if it gets cancelled which I doubt will happen cause its funny.Then 15 years down the road from now when the show it on tv I can think back and say "I used to watch this show when I was a kid" and "I remember this show being on when I was in High School".

That would be sweet if it did.Thats a huge goal that could get accomplished!

Well it's been a year since I made this thread and now they just started their new season, so it could at least make it to 06 or 07.

I say either this season will be the last or next season. I mean I would like to show to go on forever, but I realize that's not possible.

Not to mention, I heard that Kevin James, has some movies lined up and he might want to move on. But who knows???

I hope it does- it's the funniest show on right now and I think it could last for 10 seasons. I certainly would watch it if it did.

I think this show might be able to last 10 years too. If Raymond could last 9 years then KOQ I think can last 10 years. Now hear me out on this, I'm not knocking Everybody Loves Raymond or ELR fans, but in my opinion I think KOQ was always a little better. I don't know why but I just think so, maybe it's cause after a while, Raymonds episodes went bad toward the end of the show, I'm not sure. I think one of the reasons why I liked it better is becase of the difference between Frank and Arthur. Frank is almost predictable you almost always know what he's going to say (insults about the family, especially Marie) Arthur on the other hand is more unpredictable, he has some lines that come out of nowhere, and that's a good quality about Jerry's character. I think KOQ can make it 10 seasons, I hope somewhere down the line, they get recognized somehow, they deserve an award. In some way I think ELR may have been a little overrated, it was good but I think it got too much publicity, I think it should of been split between ELR and KOQ.

Arthur on the other hand is more unpredictable, he has some lines that come out of nowhere, and that's a good quality about Jerry's character.

Isn't that the truth. The fact that Arthur is so random makes him that much more hilarious. You really never know what he's going to say. One example from the top of my head is in "Supermarket Story" where he goes up to the guy and just randomly says, "Are you a Korean fellow?" :lol:

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels this way! I never laughed at ELR like I did at KoQ. For them to be ignored by the Academy is ridiculous!!! They deserve so much more. I think they have the quality to last 10 seasons. I'd hate to see them go.

But yea, I've always kind of felt that about KOQ, they deserved so much more.

Well if this show doesn't last till 2008, then this show put up a pretty good fight. It's 2006 and there talking about at least one more season, so that will put it up to 2007. Considering this show was underrated and didn't get much attention, this show must of been pretty good for it to last so long.

Yea I know what you mean. I love that show so much. Whenever I have a bad day at school King of Queens always cheers me up.

YEP!! KoQ is the BEST medicine for any condition! lol...If I was in charge, they'd never go off the air, and would win TONS of awards!! they DO deserve it!!

Yea this show really is a gem. In my opinion, I think no sitcom can beat the 1st season of the King Of Queens. All the other seasons on this show are good but one I think is still the best. All the originals are in that season. I think season 1 might be the diamond of the series.

Well it's ending in spring this year. So it didn't make it to 2008 but it was somewhat close.

This is the last season For King Of Queens

it's already been announced that they show will end this season so there won't be a 2008. To bad cuz it is still funny and still does pretty good in the ratings.

I am a HUGE fan of the 'King' so it's hard for me to be totally objective.
Yes(!), I would like to see a 10th (it also sounds good) season but I won't be mad at CBS if the show will really end this summer. It's not like we're in our second or third season - IT'S NINE YEARS!!!

I always compare the 'King' to two other sitcoms that premiered in 1998 - 'Will & Grace' & 'That 70's Show'. Both are good, both are long-running but unlike the 'King' they've slipped big time in ratings towards the end. The 'King' is still delivering decent ratings even with the Wednesday/Monday switches & the 'traditional sitcom is dead' thing.

And about the Emmies, I would like to see at list a bunch of nomination this year (for Leah, Kevin, Jerry & the show itself), they REALLY DESERVE it!

what is even sadder is that I don't think we'll be seeing much of the cast besides kevin james and patton oswalt after koq's is over. victor, garry aren't likely to be in much else and Leah, despite her potential seems to lack the motivation to get herself into anything else. Jerry is probably gonna retire. All so sad. Although that we do have that Sandler/KevinJames movie to look forward to. The one where they pose as a gay couple. Looks friggin hilarious!!!:happyface :lol: :D

I do not want The King Of Queens to last until 2008 if they do not get rid of that fat slob of an actor James. But if they got a skinny actor to portray Douglas then I would like it to continue until 2008.:cool:
