After I've seen episodes many times over, I start to notice neat little things about them, as I'm sure we all do. I was wondering if anyone else gets a kick out of the UM "chase music." Seems like whenever there's a car chase or something happens in a hurry, there's a couple drum sounds, then it kicks in. There's a lot of talk on the boards about different types of music on the show, so I'm sure I'm not the only one that gets a kick out of it.
Hmm, let me think of where it's used if you don't know what I mean....Adam Emery case...the case where the big truck rams the motorcyclist and traps him on the front of the truck....
those come to mind immediately.

I kinda the like a sound that is played usually in unexplained cases. It's like a dun dun duna dun duna .. almost a forest harmony-like sound.

I was JUST thinking that the other day! Sort of a tinkly piano sound....kind of cheeky. The kind of music that make you go, "hmmmm." ;)

I can't exactly explain how this sounds but - the music they played during some of the recreations shown in the Jeremy Bright story scared the hell out of me. I remember this eerie music playing when the killers were carrying Bright's body into the dark woods. One of the men carried a lantern, and the other had a shovel. Real nightmare inducing stuff. Anyone else remember this?

Actually, the Jeremy Bright segment had some of the creepiest music I've ever heard. It's funny you mention it, I thought I was alone. What really enhances it is the offset of it. Did you notice how the segment opened with a very cheery, sentimental cue, then goes into carnival music. The director sets you up right there.
As the segment moves along, the music gradually becomes darker. It all culminates with that lantern shot (where the guys are taking his body out to the woods). There's a heavy "DUNG!" piano note, followed by a synthesized melody one would associate with bloody murder. Kinda like "ding...dong...ding...dong...ding.....".
Oh yeah, that segment is amazingly presented. The atmosphere is chilling.
Another segment comes to mind. The Kurt Sova case works that way too. And another, the Elizabeth Campbell case. Begins with sentimental music and drives it home with super creepy cue music. All these segments are from the first season. BY FAR the best season ever!!!
I got nightmares from that first season. No other season did that to me. Maybe I became desensitized or something.

I know what music you're talking about. It is both cool and sort of freaky at the same time.
Anyone ever notice another kind of music played in some segments. In it there is only a piano. It kind of goes like this:
da do da dun da da - (I think it goes like that, not sure though)
