Ok... let's try this. I will post a ML trivia question and then someone comes along and answers it CORRECTLY....then they post the next trivia question and so on.

I hope this can keep going....and if you post an answer and aren't sure of it, ask...and I am sure someone will come along and correct you if need be.

Here is the first trivia question:

Name the hometown of Maddie Hayes and also of David
Addison. (Please give the name of city and the state).

MulberryGal
08-26-2004, 09:28 AM
Hi Cindy,

I think the answers are:

Maddie: Chicago, Illnois
David: Philadephia, PA

Next question: in what episode did the following quote come from: "You can lead a horse to water, but that doesn't make it a duck" and who said it?

Mul

CindyK
08-26-2004, 09:40 AM
Hi Mul

Your quote was said by Miss Dipesto to Miss Hayes while sitting at the bar in I am Curious...Maddie. However, Miss Dipseto claims this is said by Mr. Addision....

Tell me the full name of both Maddie's father and mother.

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 01:22 PM
Virginia and Alexander Hayes

Next:

On almost the whole series they have an unusual way of wearing their watches, what's unusual about it?

Dutchie
08-26-2004, 01:54 PM
who is they?

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 02:12 PM
Well there's a blond drop dead gorgeous woman and a very funny hunk of a guy who play two detectives in a series that's called Moonlighting..............................
Maddie and David !! Who else! LMAO
:D :D :D

Dutchie
08-26-2004, 02:32 PM
I only know that Bruce wears his watch on the inside. And I never noticed Maddie wearing a watch:confused:

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 02:43 PM
Yes she does in almost every epi, but the question is "what's unusual about the way they both wear it"
You can also check out the pics on this site!

Dutchie
08-26-2004, 02:55 PM
they both wear it on the right polse???

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 02:59 PM
YEAH!! that's good!

If you pay attention they wear it at the right wrist in almost every
episode. I think it was a hype in the 80's! Even Sam did it!

Your turn!

Dutchie
08-26-2004, 03:05 PM
WRIST! That was the word I was looking for!!

Okay, now my question...:

In which episode does Maddie wear her hair another way than she usually does in the office? (I hope you understand the question lol)

kismet
08-26-2004, 03:16 PM
I don't know exactly what you are looking for.

Blonde on Blonde when she wears it WITH NO HAIR SPRAY!

Read The Mind, See The Movie, Symphony In Knocked Flat. Atomic Shakespeare, Money Talks, Maddie Walks ... when she wears her hair on top of her head.

When Girls Collide when she had a perm and wore it back off her ears.

Sam & Dave when she comes to the office looking like she came from "Wally's Wig World".

I don't know which direction I should go in.

Dutchie
08-26-2004, 03:19 PM
okay it's your turn!:D

Tazmania

And let's not forget the look on Knowing her, Wet 'n Wild

kismet
08-26-2004, 03:38 PM
What other characters besides Maddie did Cybill play on Moonlighting?

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 03:53 PM
Rita on "the dreamsequence"and Katarina on "atomic"

CindyK
08-26-2004, 05:28 PM
She also played Kathleen the partner of John who offed her in Agnes's dream in In's and Out Law's...

She also played Alice Kramden in the Honeymooners dream in A Trip to The Moon.

There might even be some more.

But I think it is Taz's turn to post a trivia question...she answered first.

Tazmania
08-26-2004, 05:34 PM
mmmmm I forgot about Kathleen! How could I!

Ok next: What were, for us fans, David's most famous words that he spoke to Maddie's father?

Dutchie
08-27-2004, 08:44 AM
"I'm in love with your daugther" ??? I have no idea why I'm guessing, I never saw that episode:rolleyes:

kismet
08-27-2004, 10:29 AM
"I asked her to marry me and she said no." (or something to that effect)

Did he ask her in the laundromat? This plot point always got to me.

The tears in his eyes when he said that particular line made me cry also. He was terrific in that scene with Maddie's dad.

Dutchie
08-27-2004, 10:34 AM
yeah, when did he ask her to marry him???

kismet
08-27-2004, 10:48 AM
That's right, Steph. WHEN did he ask her?

My mind is reeling...

CindyK
08-27-2004, 01:20 PM
hmm I would have guessed on this question that the answer was:

"Do I love her? Would I marry her? Mr. Hayes, I would give up my life for her."

But probably anything from David's speech on the airplane would be memorable.

New trivia question:

What song does David A. sing in the garage while trying to create a diversion while Maddie goes to get their car in "The Murder's in the Mail" ?

kismet
08-27-2004, 05:08 PM
I think David sang "My Girl".

kismet
08-27-2004, 05:14 PM
Describe who/what/when/where/why was "hanging from the ceiling" in In 'n Outlaws.

Tazmania
08-27-2004, 07:03 PM
I think Kathleen hung herself in the office right?

Oh and Cindy.... you had the quote that I was looking for from David to Mr. Hayes.

CindyK
08-27-2004, 09:57 PM
That is correct Taz...Kathleen was hanging in the office....although we find out in the trial the secretary/admin asst did it.

But close enough! Your turn!!!! Post the next trivia question.

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 05:30 AM
Name the scenes where you can actually SEE Maddie sitting in the bathtub or SEE her taking a shower

CyBr
08-28-2004, 08:45 AM
I think I know a couple. Don't we see in her in the bathtub in 'The Next Murder You Hear'? I'm not sure but I thought there was also a bathtub scene in 'Big Man on Mulberry Street'. My memory is vague about that though. As for the shower, maybe not what you had in mind, but Maddie and David were in the shower together (!) but fully clothed and tied up in 'I See England, I See France, I See Maddie's Netherworld'.

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 09:14 AM
Yeah, you've got a couple of them, but let's not forget the sexy showerscene on............
what episode??

CyBr
08-28-2004, 10:44 AM
I'm really guessing now...Is there a shower scene in the first episode 'Gunfight at the So-So Corral' before she gets ready for her first day at work? Or one in 'Blonde on Blonde' with Maddie shaking her hair out? I can kind of picture that in my mind from somewhere.

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 11:40 AM
That's it, the most sexy shower scene is in Blonde on Blonde in the same scene when she's dancing in front of the mirror and looking at herself.
The showerscene is sexy with her head shaking , it's like an ad for shampoo.
Your turn!

CindyK
08-28-2004, 11:59 AM
Hey...don't forget Maddie lying in her bathtub, thinking about David right before she has that dance dream in Big Man on Mulberry Street...... she has candles all around and looks very comfortable.

But it is cybr's turn....so GO GIRL!

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 12:04 PM

You got that right C!
Her leg up on the edge of the tub..........
Such a shame that this scene is so short!

CyBr
08-28-2004, 12:35 PM
I thought I remembered something like that from Big Man...

Speaking of which, here's the next question.

Who's funeral did David travel to (but actually miss) in that episode? Please give first name and connection to David.

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 12:49 PM
I believe his name was Jimmy and he was David's brother in law.

Hope I'm right, I always get distracted by "other things" in this episode! :D

CyBr
08-28-2004, 12:58 PM
Right you are! (Technically, FORMER brother in law, or brother of the FORMER Mrs. Mr. Addison as Maddie would put it.)

Go Taz!

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 03:09 PM
What was the name of Maddie's dog when she was little?

CyBr
08-28-2004, 06:48 PM
Was it Sport?

CindyK
08-28-2004, 07:12 PM
Yeah Cybr that was what Maddie says its name was when she was telling that story about the dog who used to like to jump on her bed....and later got squished.

Your turn!

It's just that I always felt that it was "Cybill" hanging from the celing, hence the shoes.

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 07:47 PM
Yuck!
Don't think like that!!!
:(

kismet
08-28-2004, 08:03 PM
I didn't mean it like that, Taz.
It's just that I thought it was an inside joke.
Cybill = Kathleen
Bruce = John

The couch = HOT HOT HOT!;)

Tazmania
08-28-2004, 08:43 PM
I know! Don't worry.
And yes the couch is VERY HOT!

 :biglove:

CyBr
08-29-2004, 10:24 AM
OK, if I'm keeping track right, I guess I'm up so here goes:

What did David and Terri do after Lamaze class? (which is something Maddie claims she and David never did!)

kismet
08-29-2004, 11:13 AM
I'm guessing since I haven't seen any late season 4 episodes in a very long time -- I tried to watch them a few weeks ago but I couldn't -- I hate the Walter/Terri/Maddie/David episodes.

Maybe they went for cheeseburgers?

CyBr
08-29-2004, 11:29 AM
You got it, Kismet. Maddie tells David in the laundromat in 'A Trip to the Moon' that she doesn't know what it's like to have cheeseburgers with him. But he does just that with Terri in 'Fetal Attraction'. While they're eating, he tells Terri he's been seriously thinking about settling down with Maddie even if he's not sure he's the baby's father.

kismet
08-29-2004, 11:34 AM
Maybe today is my lucky day.

Which episodes had references to (or appearances by) medical doctors?

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 11:39 AM
The Pilot (Dr Facefixer)
Maddie Hayes got Married
Father knows Last
Between a Yuck and a Hard Place
I see England......

That's what I can come up with right now

kismet
08-29-2004, 11:43 AM
Your turn, Taz.

How did you become "an addict"? I'm just a senior member.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 11:55 AM
You can change that yourself Kis, by editing your profile in user cp.

Oh and next question is:

When did Maddie kiss David without touching her lips to his lips?

Here's a few more. (Hope hospitals count)

Knowing Her (Gillian in hospital)
The Bride of Tupperman (client in hospital)
Tale in Two Cities (doctor next door tells Maddie's she's pregnant)
Womb with a View (last scene)
Plastic Fantastic Lovers (plastic surgeon's office)
Lunar Eclipse (Maddie's pschiatrist's office)

Can't remember anything from A Yuk and a Hard Place right off.

Got to start thinking about the "no kiss" kiss.

CindyK
08-29-2004, 12:10 PM
I know a couple of more episodes with doctors in them

The Bride of Tupperman.... the chase scene takes place in the hospital and there are doctors in that silly plastic surgery scene. Also in A Womb with a View, D&M are in the hospital together when Maddie's doctor comes in to talk to them. And then since Maddie's parents neighbor is an Obstetrician...then every episode he is in would count. I know we first meet him in A Tale in Two Cities.

Now do any of the medical people at the coroner's office in In God We Strongly Suspect count? Oh, yes and let's not forget that Margaret Kendall's father was a doctor and owns 17 hospitals in To Heiress Human.

Anyway, it is still Taz's turn...she answered first.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 12:25 PM
My question is already up C!

I wonder if you know the answer!

CyBr
08-29-2004, 12:32 PM
I listed a lot of those same medical/doctor/hospital references, too.

As for the kissing question. Maddie puckered at him at the end of Portrait of Maddie. She kissed him on the cheek in The Lady in the Iron Mask. Not sure if that's what you meant. There also are lots of times David blew kisses to her or kissed her hand.

CindyK
08-29-2004, 12:34 PM
All true cybr... I also sorta think in the Claymation scene in Come Back Little Shiksa...the kiss on the check by the claymation Maddie to the frog David, that sorta counts too.

But it is CYBR's turn now...

I think I have it.

The paint scene in The Portrait of Maddie.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 12:45 PM
Yes it was the one in Portrait of MAddie!
I loved it when she did that!
That was a little HOT moment.

CyBr
08-29-2004, 12:46 PM
Ok, I think Kismet got Portait of Maddie too. Those last few were kind of a group effort!

How about this one?

Maddie said her mother told her you're not a woman until you have what?

kismet
08-29-2004, 12:54 PM
a string of pearls?

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 12:54 PM
Hot Da*n, I think you're right Kis!

kismet
08-29-2004, 01:00 PM
What was in Maddie's purse in Symphony In Knocked Flat?

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 01:21 PM
A garage ticket and make-up?

kismet
08-29-2004, 01:26 PM
Go for it.

There may have been a petrified stick of gum, but who knows?;)

CindyK
08-29-2004, 01:41 PM
ahhh...and I was gonna guess a condom..... LOL

We don't really know what all is in the purse....except the parking garage stub.

Yeah TAZ, your turn!

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 01:46 PM
Cindy you're bad! LMAO! Any idea with whom she was gonna use it?

Ok next question: With whom was she gonna ......... LOL!!

Now seriously:

What is Maddie doing when Dave and Rich are talking about her in the bar?

CindyK
08-29-2004, 01:51 PM
She is talking on the phone... now that always seemed weird to me ....who on earth could she have called or could have called her on that bar phone??

CindyK
08-29-2004, 01:52 PM
Oh I guess my turn for a question:

What is David going to bequeth Maddie if the car blows up when he opens the trunk of the stolen car in Symphony in Knocked Flat?

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 01:54 PM
Exactly! Next question is: Who is she talking to?

It was just a way to let the boys look at her from a distance and talk about her I guess.

next one for you Cin!

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 01:55 PM
I'm not sure what you mean but I know she gets his Sam Cooke records!

CindyK
08-29-2004, 02:00 PM
Yes that is what I meant..... he says.... "I leave you all my Sam Cooke records." right before he pops open the trunk.

Your turn T.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 02:04 PM
What are David's nicknames for Maddie?

CindyK
08-29-2004, 02:07 PM
Probably Blondie is the one he uses most. There are also several varieties of that as well.. Blondie Blonde. The big blonde and so on.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 02:12 PM
Right, and let's not forget THE BLOND DARWISH!

Personally I prefer Blondie blonde.

You're up C

Dutchie

Ball of fluff ! (j/k):D

CindyK
08-29-2004, 02:16 PM
Ok here is my last question for a while... I really have to leave my house and get something done!!

"Name the first time David brings/wants to give flower(s) to Maddie."

Heck name each time, if you want.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 02:19 PM
Somehow I think that Kismet wants to answer this one!

Dutchie
08-29-2004, 02:24 PM
aaaw please Taz, may I???

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 02:38 PM
Sure you may! It's just that I know that Kismet is nuts about the flowerscene in S........., oops
Go ahead!

Dutchie
08-29-2004, 02:52 PM
Well, the one I can remember is earlyer than Symphony on a Knocked Flat. It's at the end of Knowing Her. David lays down a rose on Maddie her desk but later comes back at takes it away.

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 02:55 PM
Still waiting for that episode! It's almost done!

Dutchie
08-29-2004, 03:09 PM
You're downloading from Emule right? How does it work?

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 03:18 PM
I don't think you can get Emule anymore, I tried to download it for my sister but it's gone.
You can download Shareaza instead, it's in Dutch and you will find the same stuff there.

Dutchie
08-29-2004, 03:58 PM
I've got emule already

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 04:21 PM
OK good luck then!

Carina13
08-29-2004, 05:03 PM
You can donwload emule from this page:

Emule (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/emule/eMule0.42b-Installer.exe)

Emule has changed my life!!!! hahaha It's true!!! There is an after and before emule in my life... Love that programme!! :D Well, sometimes I go crazy because it's so da*n slow, but then... what would I do without emule??? hihihihihi

Tazmania
08-29-2004, 05:27 PM
Yeah it is great but you got to have a lot of patience!
I've been downloading for 2 months now!
Knowing Her and I'm Curious.. are almost done.

I pick the single red rose scene in the foyer in Symphony.:D You guys know me all too well. I don't know if Symphony was the first, but it definitely was one of my faves.
Dave in a tux, Maddie in a gown, a red rose, some champagne and a limo - life doesn't get any better than that.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

CindyK
08-29-2004, 10:06 PM
Well the flowers are all good answers....and don't forget he tried to bring her flowers fresh-picked from her own flower bed that night in Blonde on Blonde when Sam answers the door. :(

But the first time does seem to be in Knowing Her after hours when David A. wants to leave the rose on Maddie's desk but then changes his mind and removes it.

Do I think Dutchie (Steph) got that right first....so it is her turn.

Unless someone else wants to slap one on us so we don't have to wait too long......

Dutchie
08-30-2004, 10:59 AM
HEY!!!

Okay, here is the next question!

In which famous movie (yeah, I still know it) did the guy from the Pilot also play the bad guy? (the guy: The one who stole the watch in the beginning)

kismet
08-30-2004, 11:07 AM
He was a big meanie in Grease.

Dutchie
08-30-2004, 12:03 PM
yep, your turn!

kismet
08-30-2004, 04:07 PM
Who played Maddie's mom, and which movie role was she most famous for?

CindyK
08-30-2004, 05:17 PM
Eva Marie Saint best known for her role in On the Waterfront and also in North by Northwest.

CindyK
08-30-2004, 05:20 PM
In The Straight Poop there was a cameo appearance by Pierce Brosnan. What connection does Pierce Brosnan have with Moonlighting? (in other words who from Moonlighting has a prior association with him.)

Tazmania
08-30-2004, 05:21 PM
I still like to mention the PLASTIC bouquet that David gave her on Trip to the Moon.
That was FUNNYYYYYYY:lol:

CindyK
08-30-2004, 05:53 PM
Yeah it was Taz.

Ok since everyone seems to enjoy the flowers....here's a list of all the flower giving scenes:

1) Knowing Her at the end when David comes into the office to leave Maddie a note with a rose....and then changes his mind and removes them.

2) Symphony in Knocked Flat when David takes Maddie to the symphony, he shows up with a single red rose.

3) Blonde on Blonde when David picks flowers in the pouring rain from the flowerbed in front of Maddie's house....he has them in hand when he rings her doorbell to finally tell her he loves her.

4) Trip to the Moon when David hands her a bouquet of plastic flowers he has snatched off a worker's desk moments before he enters Maddie's office.

5) When Girls Collide.... David shows up at the front door with flowers that Maddie puts in a vase...

Are we missing any???

Now who wants to take a shot at the last trivia question?

In The Straight Poop there was a cameo appearance by Pierce Brosnan. What connection does Pierce Brosnan have with Moonlighting? (in other words who from Moonlighting has a prior association with him.)

Tazmania
08-30-2004, 06:13 PM
He says something about going into business with Maddie, and I have read about it somewhere, but I can't really remember.

Was Cybill gonna do a movie with him maybe?

CindyK
08-30-2004, 08:09 PM
Nope nothing to do with Cybill Shepherd. That line about going into business with Maddie was a joke.

Maybe this is harder than I thought....but I bet kismet knows the answer.... btw, the answer is contained somewhere on DavidandMaddie.com but unless you know exactly where to look, you might have a problem finding it.

Yes, Pierce Brosnan has one of those degrees of separation going on with someone from ML....

kismet
08-30-2004, 08:48 PM
Pierce Brosnan and Stephanie Zimbalist starred in an early/mid 80's detective show called Remington Steele associated with Glenn Gordon Caron.

CindyK
08-30-2004, 09:01 PM
That is it kismet..... Remington Steele....the show Mr. Caron was writing/producing for before Moonlighting. Brosnan and Caron got along very well so Brosnan would have happily obliged a little cameo on Moonlighting.

Your turn kismet... I knew you would know it!

kismet
08-30-2004, 09:08 PM
Name at least 3 cars used/mentioned in Moonlighting.

By the way, Remington Steele was one of my favorite 80's shows - it didn't rank as high as Moonlighting in my book, but it was lots of fun, probably because Glenn had a stake in it.

CindyK
08-30-2004, 09:49 PM
The porsche driven by David in The Pilot that is supposedly his company car.

The BMW 635Csi owned by Maddie Hayes and driven by both her and David.

That awful Yugo in Take My Wife for Example from the 5th season.

There is also a stretch limo in Symphony in Knocked flat. And there is that "stolen" car they get from the parking garage, but I don't know what model it is.

And a taxi cab that David has a scene in in Big Man on Mulberry Street.

That enough cars for ya?

CindyK
08-30-2004, 09:55 PM
New trivia question:

Now about that baby.....

answer these questions about the baby announcement:

Tell us in order:

1. Who told Maddie that she was going to have a baby?
2. Who did Maddie first tell that she was going to have a baby?
3. Who first told David that Maddie was going to have a baby?
4. Who first told Maddie's mother that Maddie was going to have a baby?
5. Who first told Maddie's father that Maddie was going to have a baby?

CyBr

1. Who told Maddie that she was going to have a baby? The OB/GYN who lived next door to her parents.
2. Who did Maddie first tell that she was going to have a baby? Agnes, on her answering machine. She called David first, but also got his machine and hung up.
3. Who first told David that Maddie was going to have a baby? Bert, in a very funny scene.
4. Who first told Maddie's mother that Maddie was going to have a baby? Maddie, after her mother suspected it first.
5. Who first told Maddie's father that Maddie was going to have a baby? Maddie's mother, off camera.

A+ CYBR. Now its your turn to post a question.

CyBr
08-31-2004, 01:45 PM
Ok, how many men did David guess that Maddie had been 'intimate with' in her life? (Extra credit - how did David describe each one?)

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 01:48 PM
6? One was a high school football player, he mentioned Sam twice, and ......... oooh I forgot the rest!

CyBr
08-31-2004, 01:57 PM
6 is correct! (She never confirms it but her expression tells me he might have been right!)

I don't know if I can remember the exact descriptions either, but it goes something like: a football player in high school, guy in college with a sign on the door that says 'Slippery When Wet', some unavailable guy when she moved to the city (probably married), the spaceman (does he count twice?), a fling with a pal (David!) and a one night stand.

Go Taz!

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 02:06 PM
Stupid! How could I forget David himself!

OK next question:

How many times did Maddie slap David in the face?
Name the episodes too!

CyBr
08-31-2004, 02:14 PM
I can think of 3 but there may be more.

The Pilot
The Man Who Cried Wife
I am Curious...Maddie

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 02:34 PM
No I believe that's it, but she slapped him 4 times almost 5 times but the fifth was blocked right before they ............. well you know

CyBr
08-31-2004, 02:40 PM
Maybe I misunderstood you. I thought you meant in how many episodes did Maddie slap him. I can think of 3. As for the slaps in I am Curious...Maddie. She slapped in twice and he caught her hand on the third attempt before they... you know. :D

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 02:44 PM
Just like I said CyBr, it's your turno!

CyBr
08-31-2004, 02:50 PM
This will have to be my last one for awhile...

In how many episodes does David quit (or threaten to quit)?

(I'm not sure I'm positive myself. I better start counting!)

CindyK
08-31-2004, 04:29 PM
ok let's see....3 maybe?

Atlas Belched..... he starts his own agency after she sells Blue Moon.

In Heiress he offers to go to work for another agency if it will make her more comfortable with their new physical relationship...

Shirts & Skins..... the dispute over which side they are taking in the case causes her to fire him and he says he is quitting anyway.

Am I missing one somewhere????

Now I know in Yuk, he was going away...but I didn't think he was necessarily quitting the agency at that point....

He also indicated something about maybe not being in the next day at the end of Maddie Hayes Got Married....but again he didn't say he was leaving the agency.....so I don't think either of those count.

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 04:55 PM
I think you've hit 'm all C!

Next!

CindyK
08-31-2004, 06:01 PM
Ok new question:

What are the last names of Rita and Zach in The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice?

Tazmania
08-31-2004, 06:10 PM
Mrs Rita Adams and Mr Zach McCoy

CindyK
08-31-2004, 09:22 PM
Yes ma'am. That is correct! Your turn, Taz.

Tazmania
09-01-2004, 06:37 PM
With whom did David have a conversation when he was running from the police and living on the street?

CindyK
09-01-2004, 07:00 PM
He tells Maddie he had a conversation with "a skinny dog."

The mind reels!

Ok so its my turn, huh? I'll be back with a new one in a flash.

CindyK
09-01-2004, 07:04 PM
David is very disappointed in "Twas the Episode Before Christmas" when they find out the real name of the baby left at Dipesto's. Up to that point the case seemed to be one big Christmas allegory with Mary, Joseph, the 3 kings, a pack of Camels and all. So, what was the baby's real first name?

kismet
09-01-2004, 07:25 PM
I know Bruce called him Johnny in the out-takes, but I don't think that is what you are looking for.

CindyK
09-01-2004, 07:58 PM
Well, I suppose that was the infant actor's real name, but yeah, you are right I am looking for the name of the baby in the episode.

Tazmania
09-01-2004, 08:06 PM
Andrew right?

CindyK
09-01-2004, 08:52 PM
Andrew...uh huh!!! You got it girl. Go! It's your turn.

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 01:44 AM
What's the licenseplate nr of the Beamer?

CindyK
09-02-2004, 09:05 AM
Well, I am not sure if it stays the same through the entire series because ever so many years you have to replace the metal plate and you get a new one (or at least you do here in the state of Florida).....but during the first season at least I saw it as 2D00781.

Is that what you were looking for Taz?

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 12:12 PM
Yeah that 'll do! You're up!

CindyK
09-02-2004, 01:29 PM
In which episode does David describe Maddie's attire as "the black dress cut to South America?"

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 01:31 PM
Sam and Dave?

kismet
09-02-2004, 01:32 PM
I know that one -- it's from Sam & Dave, and David is talking about the black dress that Maddie is planning to wear out to dinner with Sam. I love this episode.

kismet
09-02-2004, 01:33 PM
You were first, Taz. Your turn.

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 01:52 PM
Ok ,

when does Maddie admit that she can be a "scary bitch" when she wants to?

CindyK
09-02-2004, 02:48 PM
When she barks and scares of the dog in the cemetary that is in I See England, I See France.

New one:

When Sam tries to talk to Maddie the morning after she has spent the night running around with David on the McLafferty/Johnson case, the phone rings as they are upstairs, just after Maddie has crawled in the bed. Who is calling Maddie?

kismet
09-02-2004, 02:53 PM
Maddie's mom. Sam is very disappointed that Maddie reports that nothing is new, just the same old same old, even though Sam has asked Maddie to marry him.

CindyK
09-02-2004, 03:00 PM
Correct, Kismet. Your turn.

kismet
09-02-2004, 03:01 PM
I hope I am correct about this next question.

The shortie nightgown that Rita wore in Dream Sequence supposedly was previously worn by which very famous actress? And who allowed this to happen?

If I'm wrong, I apologize.

CindyK
09-02-2004, 03:46 PM
ohhh. Kismet I have never heard this before, so I will be of no help here. I was pretty sure all the costumes of Dream Sequence were made by Mr. Tuturice....but you may have read something somewhere that I haven't seen. Do tell!

kismet
09-02-2004, 03:53 PM
I can't remember where I read or heard this from, so maybe it's wishful thinking.

Rita Hayworth and Orson Welles

CindyK
09-02-2004, 03:57 PM
Well that is interesting! See if you can locate where you read that and maybe we can find out that it is true.

Post a new question ok?

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 04:11 PM
That does ring a bell Kis! Isn't this in Cyb's book?

kismet
09-02-2004, 04:18 PM
That's just it, Taz -- I don't remember how that info got into my brain. I haven't read her book in a couple of years so MAYBE that is where the info came from.

Next question:

What is Richie trying to sell/promote (unsuccessfully) in the beginning of "Brother, Can You Spare A Blonde"?

CindyK
09-02-2004, 04:25 PM
Thin and Rich (or is it Rich and Thin)....

hilarious that sales pitch of his!

kismet
09-02-2004, 04:26 PM
Your turn, Cindy.

CindyK
09-02-2004, 04:27 PM
Oh yeah... I am supposed to post the next question.

Speaking of Richie Addison....who is the older of the two brothers....Richie or David?

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 04:32 PM
Richie!

CindyK
09-02-2004, 04:50 PM
Yes he is...and that always seemed peculiar to me that the younger brother, David, was the jr. Usually the firstborn is named after the father if a family is going to do that, you seldom see that in a second or third son.

Oh well...

It's your turn.

Tazmania
09-02-2004, 05:24 PM
What does Dave do, when Maddie tells him to look at himself when he's hung over?

Carina13
09-02-2004, 06:18 PM
Hihihi he rolls he's eyes and says something like "I could never do that" or something like that...   Great line :D

CindyK
09-02-2004, 08:46 PM
That is pretty close to it Carina... I think he says like "I'll try" and then he tries and adds "But it'll make me dizzy." So you got it...go girl. It's your turn.

Tazmania
09-03-2004, 01:14 PM
Yeah he did that twice and he also said " I always wondered how people do that"

It's sooo funny!

Carina13
09-03-2004, 02:57 PM
Hihihihi

Hey guys, I'm sorry if I'm not here like I used to be, but I have my last exam on September, 9th.

I'm still thinking of a question for you!!!! It's just that I'm terrible with these kind of things!!!!! :o hahahaha

If you want to keep going, do it, and I'll post the question when I find one, ok??? hihihi :D

PS: Taz, btw, what did you mean by "Felicidades"?? What did I do??? hihihihi I hope it's something good  I wasn't here when you talked to me :(

CindyK
09-03-2004, 03:36 PM
Fair enough, Carina. School comes first. I will post a question for now and you can post one later.

What did Agnes find in the trash can in Maddie's office at the start of Symphony in Knocked Flat--and where did it/they come from?

Tazmania

It was a BAD date!

CindyK
09-03-2004, 06:01 PM
yes Taz. That is correct. Your turn. Post a new one.

Tazmania
09-03-2004, 06:28 PM
I guess everyone is a little busy preparing for Bruce's concert right now but ok here's the next one:

When do we see David and Maddie in the same bed for the first time??

CindyK
09-03-2004, 06:56 PM
I guess that would be in Witness for the Execution...when he returns and she reaches out to hug him... they may fall out of the bed...but that is the first time I know of that comes close.... after that it would probably be in Atomic Shakespeare.

Tazmania
09-03-2004, 07:16 PM
No C! They were together in a bed before! think harder! I know U know it!

CindyK
09-03-2004, 10:41 PM
oh yeah...must be Dream Sequence....but that is Rita and Zach....but ok... I guess that would count since it was Maddie playing Rita and David playing Zach....

CindyK
09-03-2004, 10:44 PM
Hey wait a minute.... I don't think we saw them in bed at the same time together in that one... I think we saw Rita in the bed but Zach was sitting in a chair smoking a cigarette I thought.....

kismet
09-03-2004, 10:51 PM
They were in the same bunk bed in Next Stop Murder. Does that count?

kismet
09-03-2004, 10:53 PM
By the way Cindy, how is the weather in Florida tonight? You've been hit so hard lately. I haven't heard the weather reports since early this afternoon - it didn't sound good for eastern Florida areas. I think you are on the opposite coast, aren't you?

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 03:25 AM

YES!!!!!! Bingo!! You won a colour television and CAN go on for the refrigerator!

CindyK
09-04-2004, 08:06 AM
Yes indeed the murphy bed....I forgot that one.

Kismet, yes I am on the Gulf coast but we too are worried...that is a big storm and it will cross the main peninsula and get in the Gulf...and make a pass up our way...that probably won't happen until Monday/Tuesday but we are preparing and watching. Right now it is pretty hectic here because a lot of the evacuees from south/central Florida are up here avoiding the storm...and then I suppose when it heads here, they will head back to their homes.

It is still not certain where/when it will emerge in the Gulf and come this way...but we are preparing now for that.

Kismet, it is your turn.... lay one on us.

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 08:17 AM
Wishing you all the luck in the world Cindy!
Hope it doesn't hit your town.

Hugz Taz

kismet
09-04-2004, 08:38 AM
Which game shows are watched/referred to in Moonlighting?

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 10:08 AM
I know that Miss Dipesto referred to Donahue, and David watched a gameshow in Sam and Dave, something with Johnny??
There are probably more but I can't really remember.

CindyK
09-04-2004, 10:56 AM
In Son Also Rises, David says "Come on Down" to Miss Dipesto concerning whacking the pinata....and that is a reference to The Price is Right. And in the van during surveillance on the McLafferty/Johnson case in Maddie's Turn to Cry, David puts on a mock Dating Game.

Then there is also a reference to Let's Make a Deal with a behind Door number one and Door number two reference by David.

The Jeopardy think music is also used in Come Back Little Shiksa and in a couple of other places too, I believe.

In I am Curious....Maddie David is watching Divorce Court, which I don't consider a game show. Nor is Donahue a game show.

kismet
09-04-2004, 12:34 PM
Cindy and Taz are in a close fight -- I think Cindy has a slight edge.

Did anyone mention "The Family Feud"?

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 12:56 PM
I think Cindy has won this one Kis!

She can make up a new one!

(Did I mention Family Feud?? LOL!):D

kismet
09-04-2004, 01:02 PM
The Family Feud was mentioned in season 1. Do you remember that Richard Dawson got to kiss all the women on the show?

In Sam & dave, wasn't it a divorce show that David was watching when Agnes and Bert came in his totally wrecked office? I don't think it was a game show.

Either Taz or Cindy take a turn. I can't stay online much longer.

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 01:07 PM
OK let me think about one! Catch ya later Kis!

Tazmania
09-04-2004, 08:22 PM
When does Maddie call David "buster" and when does she call him "bob".

kismet
09-05-2004, 11:19 AM
I'm stumped!

I can hear Buster but I can't even hear Bob. Do you mean Bub?

CyBr
09-05-2004, 12:25 PM
I was going to ask if you meant Bub, too. I think Bub is from the pilot when Maddie says "Knock that locker room grin off your face..."

I think Buster is from 'Knowing Her' when Maddie is explaining that she is an independent woman and fixed a flat tire by herself.

Tazmania
09-05-2004, 05:06 PM
Yeah I guess it was BUB!
Your turn, Kis!

Tazmania
09-06-2004, 11:21 AM
Go
kismet!

kismet
09-06-2004, 11:22 AM
I think it's CyBr's turn.

CyBr
09-06-2004, 11:30 AM
Here's the next question. In 'Take My Wife For Example' what is the one complaint that Maddie had of David as a lover?

(Maybe not so coincidentally, Cybill makes a similar comment about Bruce in her book.) ;)

kismet
09-06-2004, 11:40 AM
The one complaint was the he kissed too hard.

It didn't look like that to me!

Tazmania
09-06-2004, 11:42 AM
YEAH!! He kisses hard and he never let's her kiss back!
And he uses his tongue (but she does too sometimes, heheh)

Darn Kis you beat me to it!

CyBr
09-06-2004, 11:47 AM
I know! I think a lot of people were wondering what Maddie/Cybill was complaining about! Go, Kismet!

kismet
09-06-2004, 11:50 AM
Fair play:

What was David's complaint about Maddie in the same episode?

kismet
09-06-2004, 11:56 AM

This is just my opinion -- Cybill kisses a little different than some people. She seems to use her lips much more than her tongue. For example: the car scene in "The Last Picture Show" with Timothy Bottoms, and "Seduced" with Gregory Harrison. I can't remember which ML episode I ever saw her tongue in. Can you elaborate?

In the beginning of ML, Bruce seemed to kiss harder - but in the middle and towards the end, he seemed like such a soft kisser. It made me melt!

Tazmania
09-06-2004, 12:07 PM
But she did use her tongue in The Last Picture SHow in the car right? I think I saw it.

And in ML she uses it on this very scene we were talking about just now. (at least I think so, I watched it over and over)

And Bruce's tongue shows best in Tracks of my Tears and I think she doesn't mind at all there! LOL:D

Tazmania
09-06-2004, 12:09 PM
Oh and David's complain is that she isn't a very generous person, right?

kismet
09-06-2004, 12:13 PM
Your turn, Taz.

Tazmania
09-06-2004, 12:22 PM
Yeah let's move on, too much tongues flying around!
LOL!

Ok,
When does David want MOM to read him a story before he goes to bed?

CyBr
09-07-2004, 11:40 AM
Since nobody has guessed this one, I'll give it a shot. Is it from 'My Fair David'? David said something like this as he falls into Maddie's lap in the car but I'm not which episode.

Dutchie
09-07-2004, 12:03 PM
I think that's the scene from "Witness for the Execution"

http://davidandmaddie.com/uploads/1022168744_Photo1_w1.jpg

CyBr
09-07-2004, 12:28 PM
That scene is in David's office. I was thinking of a scene in the car. But like I said, I really don't know. I guess we'll have to wait for Taz to tell us. :p

Dutchie
09-07-2004, 02:32 PM

What was I thinking LOL

CindyK
09-07-2004, 02:33 PM
Ok whose turn is it? Post a question....I have a few minutes to browse on the board and want to play!

kismet
09-07-2004, 02:35 PM
Cindy, are you A-OK? Every time I hear about the hurricane, I think of you.

Sorry, but it's not my turn to post a question.

CyBr
09-07-2004, 03:12 PM
I think we're waiting for Taz to give us the correct answer to her 'Mom' question unless someone else knows.

Tazmania
09-07-2004, 06:05 PM
It is CORRECTO!!! GO CyBr!

CyBr
09-07-2004, 09:39 PM
Wow, that was just a wild guess! Ok, let's see who watches the Agnes episodes.

At the beginning of 'North by North Dipesto', David says the only reason for him and Maddie to go to the California Investigators Banquet and Ball is that it will give them a chance to do what?

CindyK
09-07-2004, 10:03 PM
Fight in public!! LOL!!!

CindyK
09-07-2004, 10:04 PM
oh my turn isn't it?

When Maddie and Agnes go out to the bar in "I am Curious....Maddie" what does each of the ladies order?

CyBr
09-07-2004, 10:04 PM
I think we posted at the same time. I was just saying the "fight in public" was a great line.

Thinking about your next one...

Tazmania
09-08-2004, 02:47 PM
White Wine for Maddie and Double Kamikaze for Agnes, who litterally fell off her chair!! That was funny!:D

09-08-2004, 02:56 PM
yeah...go go go Taz. You got it. Your turn.

Weird kismet....about the question. I don't plan these in advance I just make them up as my fingers are typing at the moment. I knew I had to make up a question and I just free associated to a scene.....which happened to be the bar scene in Curious and I wrote a question pertaining to it.... weird!

OK
What did David do that was the closest thing to (imaginary) marry Maddie?
Cryptic huh?

CindyK
09-08-2004, 05:27 PM
Well you could be thinking of the marriage between Petruchio and Kate in Atomic Shakespeare..... or you could be thinking about the time David A. slipped Maddie H.'s wedding ring on her finger at the end of Eek! A Spouse.

Are either of these close to what you had in mind???

kismet
09-08-2004, 05:33 PM
They sound like great answers to me.

I love the wedding scene in Atomic Shakespeare.
They have to tie her down to marry him! The way Katerina rolls her eyes - Petruchio's singing - the reaction of the priest -- all of it is simply the best. Oh yeah - it was so funny when Petruchio says the high pitched "I do" and she mumbles back.

That is one of the best things ever seen on TV.

Ok new question:

David follows Mr. Hayes in the episode "Every Daughter's Father is a Virgin" so he can determine for Maddie if the man is having an affair. What song is playing on the car stereo in David Addison's car as he follows Mr. Hayes and what song is playing on the car stereo in Mr. Hayes car as he drives?

Tazmania
09-08-2004, 05:44 PM
Papa was a rolling Stone...

CindyK
09-08-2004, 05:47 PM
Correct on what is playing in David's car....but what about in Mr. Hayes car?

Tazmania
09-08-2004, 05:57 PM
OOOH that's classical, dunno 'bout that!

CyBr
09-08-2004, 09:50 PM

CindyK
09-09-2004, 01:54 AM
Ding Ding Ding We have a winner....! Yes, It was an instrumental version of Love is a Many Splendored Thing.

Very good cybr. Either you or Taz can post the next question.

I guess Taz isn't around right now so I'll go ahead.

We saw both Maddie and David in airplanes several times during the series. But how many times did we see them TOGETHER in an airplane and in which episodes?

I only know of two times.... The Bride of Tupperman when they go to Vermont to check out the identity of Mr. Tupperman and in Big Man on Mulberry Street when they are flying back home after the funeral in NYC.

Is there another time I am missing??

I think you got it! Those are the only two I could think of. (I'm pretty sure it was a red eye to Connecticut in 'The Bride of Tupperman' but no biggie.) Your turn!

yeah it was conn. not vt. Sorry I typed that in a hurry and didn't think much about the state at all. I knew it was friggin cold there though by how they were dressed.

New question:

Maddie and David join her parents for dinner in Every Daughter's Father is a Virgin. At that dinner they have champagne where they toast several things. What does Mr. Hayes toast on David's behalf?

To his daughter and her partner: May they florish in their pursuit in truth and justice.
He doesn't toast on just David.

oh yes he does. He toasts something about David. Right after he toasts Maddie's success, he toasts something that pertains to David.

I believe it was the padre's shiner, a reference to the fact that David had a black eye and was dressed like a priest in the scene where he met Maddie's parents.

CindyK

That is it exactly, CyBr. It was David's blackeye, aka "the padre's shiner."

Your turn!!

In 'Fetal Attraction', Terri tells David that her father owned a joint like the one where they're eating. What was the name of the joint and where was it located?

Oh yeah. the question. I do not know the exact answer here. I could find out by going to watch my tape.... but I will say I do know he had a hambruger joint or something similar because Terri talks about the big greasy but great burgers he made. I do not know where Terri was from either....sorry.

Maybe she said San Diego.....

CyBr

No, not San Diego... (It does begin with an 'S' though.) Did I stump everybody? If so, I can give the answer and try another one.

It doesn't look like there are any more guesses, so I'll just give the answer so we can move on. (Sorry if I'm jumping the gun here.)

Terri said her father had a joint like that one called Bubba's. Best in Seattle.

New question: David tells Maddie that he shares a birthday with what rock star?

CindyK

Jimi Hendrix which would make his birthday Nov 27th...however, in season two he told Maddie his birthday was about a month after hers...which was in February in that episode so that would put his birthday in March. This therefore is either a big continuity error...or David isn't being serious....so who really knows if this is true or not.

Yep! I noticed that little inconsistency, too. Chalk it up to the 5th season woes, I guess! Your turn.

That birthday date inconsistency always bothered me.

Ok. Here we go.

Maddie and David are usually the ones involved in a whacky chase..... but a couple of times they are the ones being chased. Name at least two episodes where they are the ones being chased. (it's ok if its on foot or in a vehicle)

kismet

They were chased on foot in the mall in "Brother Can You Spare A Blonde".

Weren't they chased in "The Murder's In The Mail"? It's the one when Maddie is doing the driving -- "punch this sucker"!

Yes and also through the airport in Somewhere Under the Rainbow and also in Camille by the bad guy. There might even be more times... But you got the question right so its it your turn kismet.

In honor of Cybill's upcoming London singing gig, in which episodes did Maddie Hayes sing? AND if you can, which songs did she sing?
