What are the by-far stupidest things people pick on you about?

mine are

-liking some old shows
-being the only one of my friends who doesn't make fun of Avril's song Complicated
-not wanting to see people I know at the store

My friends constantly tease me because my favorite show is Happy Days and such. Frankly, you dont see me making fun of them and their 'stupid shows' they like. Some also make fun of the fact that I love Clay Aiken. IMO, friends wouldnt constantly rag on you for your interests. Its one thing to do so at first, but for the love of God get over it. I also get crap for watching Conan. Ill take Conan and Happy Days over The OC any day.

Watching Cheers, and the fact that my room is full of Cheers stuff. I get picked on about other things but I wouldn't consider them stupid.

That I like to ride horses and play field hockey oh yeah and because I'm shy and because everyone thinks there is something wrong with me just because I'm different and I like different things.

People pick on me cause I have trouble enunciating words, and I stumble over my words, I've done it since I was little, cause I used to have a bad overbite, and once I had braces on it got somewhat better, but I still do it if I get to talking alot :grr:

Also I think people say I'm fat behind my back. Oh and my friend thinks I'm strange because I won't get highlights in my hair.

Just because I'm not 20 pounds underweight, people make fun of me and call me fat. I have a normal weight for god's sakes! I looked it up on the web, so I don't have to be a Nicole Kidman clone.

I've gotten to the point where if anyone says anything to me, I just tell them off. I'm harder on myself than anyone.

Ugh...at least Clay can sing! More than 95% of the "singers" out there now.

People make fun of that fact that I am an non-conformist; which is quite ludicrous, because who the hell wants to be like everybody else????:confused:

I guess liking country music is the killer for me, especially since I live in New Jersey. :o

Because last year i had a countless number of guys that liked me and wouldn't leave me alone. And don't think i'm contradicting myself, because it wasn't a good thing. It still is a problem. Last year i told a group of them to **** off when they said hi to me and they apparently did so. but i had a bunch of experiences with it i could go on about. it was damn annoying. i really needed help but i didnt tell anyone because they'd think i'm bragging. i told my friends but they kept saying "they're just kidding!" they weren't even there, and if they were they'd know they werent kidding. it's not as bad now. there's just an annoying guy in my computer publications class who looks at my screen all the time, especially when i'm on the internet. whenever i see him looking at it while im on this site i close it out because i'll be damned if he follows me here. also a ****** in my choir class who followed me around all the time in art last year, but i find it more funny than annoying. omg. yesterday we used the computers and we had to share one, and he kept trying so hard to start a conversation or make a "smart ass" comment to me about what the teacher said. it was incredibly lame, i couldve laughed. i never even replied to anything he said. it wouldnt have mattered anyway, i never say anything when people try to talk to me simply because i have nothing to say. and they ask me if i'm a goth because of it. :lol:

Honestly? The fact that I cannot stand onions, especially if they're raw. :rolleyes: :lol:

Friends used to give me a hard time because I'm a fan of horror movies.. they've gotten over it, though.

I used to get made fun of for my laugh in HS. It's not a big deal but it got old. It's not like it's annoying. I just laugh a lot to some people I guess. Whatever.

I used to get beat up in Catholic school because I kept to myself. No other reason. Except that my hair was always in a braid and I wore bright blue socks with my uniform. It was a uniform for Christ's sake! Not a whole lot of options! And I was 10 give me a break.

I used to get made fun of for liking The Beatles and for liking GOOD music. At least I'm enlightened on this :lol:

Anyway, that's all over now. I'm not like everyone else and you really can't put a label on me. I'm a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

I'm pretty non-conformist I guess you could say. I don't conform to things just because everyone else does. I've never really been made fun of for it because I'm just me, and my friends know this. If people don't like for who I am or what I'm about, then they aren't my friends and their opinions don't matter. It took me awhile to realize this, but now I do. Not everyone has to like me and not everyone has to understand me.

OMG me too! Senior year I was dubbed 'Cackle' because I cackled and 'sounded like a chicken'. Ugh, it was from all the punks in my Physics/Alg. 2 class.. ALL JUNIORS. Meangya they were annoying. But yah, they said my laugh was obnoxious. Whatev, it got me a nod for Most Unforgettable Laugh.

At any rate, I'm the intellectual superior of my friends, so I rarely get made fun of, and if I do I pile more **** back, plus, being made fun of implies that it actually bothers me and they arent just giving me ****.

I do get some **** about being so scrawny though.









and Safety: you said about 3 things i want to quote, but I will just work from memory here.

First off, I went to a small school and lived in a rural area or whatever, so everytime someone moved here that I thought wouldnt fit in, I tried to be nice, but alot of times people like that will realize that there is no such clique for them to hang out there and try to change, which is really annoying.

Secondly, I always try to make small talk with people I'm working with, just to make it more pleasant. I hope they arent thinking about what a loser I am the whole time :rolleyes:

My dad always bugs me because I like music by the Beatles. Beatles music and solo work of all the Beatles. The same thing with the 1950s music, too. I used to bug him about liking Leonard Cohen's music, but I don't bug him about it anymore. I never say the Rolling Stones music is bad. I like the Stones music. My dad just seems to like bugging me because of my musical interests.

I'm also a rather quiet person. I'm okay one-on-one at home, but in public, it's like I turn into a mouse. I'll talk, but I won't talk much. I always used to get teased at school for being quiet. People in my classes would tell me to be quiet because I wasn't being as loud as everybody else. It was like, not being loud and obnoxious was a bad thing.

Thankfully, my parents are on the same page as me when it comes to The Beatles. They like really awesome music. Once you listen to a Beatles song and like it, you'll never stop liking them. You should just tell your dad that. :lol:

About music my friend picked on me endlessly for rather listening to good old Christmas music (like on Bing Crosby records) rather than this new Christmas music they put out.

O I must add more, people in the 6ht grade used to make fun of me because I had a boy for a friend they would all say "OMG LyKe r u guys GOING OUT lyke ewwwwwwww lolololololololololololololololololzzzzzzzzz" :rolleyes:

The stupidest thing I've been picked on about is absolutely nothing. I've been teased by people I don't even know. But people I do know sometimes make fun of me for being shy, a perfectionist, and coming here (just my sister for the last one).

I get picked on for numerous things. I'm most known for being a teacher's pet. It's not my fault though...it's the teachers. Some people call me "suck-up" and things like that but I'm really not. Teachers just like me, I guess.

Hmm what else? There have been a lot of people that have made fun of me for no particular reason.

People make fun of me for being short and for being too smart. I'm also really quiet and soft spoken, so people usually have something to say about that.

There have been other things, I'm sure. I just can't think of them right now...

Haha - What is it about brothers? My brother does the same thing, too. I'm like, "Hey, look at my avatar" and he rolls his eyes an is like, "Get a life." I was picked on relentlessly throughout school.
Thankfully, I left school 4 years ago.
I thought that, upon leaving school, I would never have to worry about clueless arseholes picking on me ever again. However, my supervisior at work had other ideas and he relentlessly takes the piss out of me. It's all in good humour (I hope) but he can be quite cutting at times.
Amongst other things, he makes fun of me for:

drinking a lot
being gay
never having had a proper girlfriend
listening to punk bands
wearing crap shirts to work
having a crush on my 18 year-old friend
being rubbish at mathematics
having posters on my bedroom wall
watching cartoons
thinking Alyson Hannigan is cute
believing that one-night-stands are immoral
never using drugs
wearing blue shoe laces
eating excessive amounts of crisps
calling everyone "Sir"
biting my finger-nails

For being a non-conformist.

For being handicapped.

For working behind a cash register.
