August 24, 1979 Facts Of Life appears on TV. I was 16 at the time but i watched it for 9 years loving the show and its cast. One of the great shows ever. Today August 24, 2004 is the 25th Anniversary. :talk:

Ah, the memories. I watched the very first NBC episode, which aired on a Fri night. I was already a big fan of Lisa Whelchel from The New Mickey Mouse Club. She was gorgeous even as a young girl with a bowl haircut.

Like Charlie Brown Lisa Whelchel was my red-headed girl that i fell head over heels for. Seen her in a disney movie and a couple other things between 1977 to 1979. Two long years of barely seeing her and then she goes Blonde! for Facts. My red-haired girl had gone hollywood! I sometimes wonder if I had gone out to California and met her if anything would have happened. But after Facts Lisa married and I could not have been happier for her. I myself waited longer to find the right woman but I did and we married in 2000. The thing is that both Lisa and I were born 4 days apart and I guess two gemini's would not have worked! LOL
