View Full Version : Describe Your Sense of Humor Chambers 08-24-2004, 06:33 PM How would you describe your sense of humor? That is - assuming you have one. Tundra Wolf 08-24-2004, 06:37 PM A mighty good one. Wait... sense? of humor?! ... ...   !!! That's just like me. Chad22 08-24-2004, 06:42 PM I Have a very random sence of humor. I Think random things happening when you dont expect them at all is the most hilarious thing. I TOTALLY agree. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 08-24-2004, 06:50 PM Sarcastic, wittyness and things that don't make sense. ThirteenInchEscape 08-24-2004, 07:10 PM I have a really strange sense of humor, Dave Attel is one of my favorite comics. Other than that, it is hard to describe Rene 08-24-2004, 07:22 PM i like sarcasm which is why i love david spade soo much i also like jokes that make fun of the way people act i like sitting at a party and observing people so i can know their personalities and make fun of them later *Pleasant Tomorrow* 08-24-2004, 07:24 PM Originally posted by darlene_conner i like sarcasm which is why i love david spade soo much i also like jokes that make fun of the way people act i like sitting at a party and observing people so i can know their personalities and make fun of them later I love making fun of people...in a way where I'm not meaning any harm, but lots do take it that way and it ****ing sucks -_- Rene 08-24-2004, 07:25 PM lol i know my mom and i make fun of people and my sister is all sensitive so she made us stop its very annoying we are just havin fun and its not like we do it to their faces Kay Scarpetta 08-24-2004, 07:28 PM Originally posted by Chambers I like -Sarcasm -Irony -Subtle jokes where the humor stems from what is unsaid -Jokes that make fun of problems the world and individual societies face today -Jokes that challenge people Yep, that's basically mine also. I absolutely love sarcasm and irony. I have a very dry sense of humour. Political jokes are a weakness of mine. Best thing in the world. Hollow 08-24-2004, 07:51 PM i think i have a disorder that involves uncontrollable laughter. because i've had that problem my whole life. it'd be hard convince you all how bad it is. I always, ALWAYS randomly start thinking of something funny and cant help but laugh. it happens the most at the worst times, like when someones talking to me about something serious. then if i get too worked up over that, i'll just think anything is funny. i'll look at a wall and think its just hilarious and laugh harder. its sad. a few weeks ago i couldnt sleep because i was laughing and thinking about an obscene note i write about the wizard of oz when i was 6. a few years ago i went insane. i was eating soup and my mom was watching the discovery channel. and i just started laughing, i didnt know why. i didnt think anything was funny but i kept laughing harder until i almost choked, i started sort of randomly walking around the room and laughing while my mom was trying to figure out what the hell was wrong with me, and i looked at the tv and saw a computerized graphic of some animal moving and i found it to be the most hilarious thing and laughed harder. the funny thing is, when i'm going crazy like that and think that a normal object or something is funny, i continue to think its funny after i've snapped out of it. i still laugh at that animal graphic when i think about it and that was like 3 years ago. in fact the day or so after that, i was walking through the library at my school and i passed by someone else who was the only other person in there and it struck me that i'd look like an ass if i started laughing. so needless to say i thought of the animal and laughed. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 08-24-2004, 08:09 PM Conan O'Brien. I love that man and he is hilarious. Especially his announcer Joel.. OMG all I have to do is look at him and I crack up, hes whicked funny. I like old 'cheesy' comedies like the Brady Bunch. For standups, I love Denis Leary and Chris Rock. I laugh at everything. I find the stupidest commercials to be downright hilarious (Those Fruit Of The Loom guys dressed as fruit), and same for shows. I also have a weakness for laughing at other peoples pain. I cant help it. But dude, if I see someone trip and fall, I laugh my ass off. I keep it from showing, but on the inside Im dying. Unless the person is really injured, then its not funny.. but if they do a little stumble sure Im gonna laugh. I fall all the time and laugh at myself. I like sex jokes too, they can be funny. Cashodeen 08-24-2004, 08:40 PM Droll. (I love that word, but I have a feeling it's become rather old-fashioned. It means "amusingly odd or whimsically comical.") I get a kick out of a lot of the random, simple stuff that not everyone else seems to appreciate. I also love the dry and more witty humor. I love him. :notworthy folfreak25 08-24-2004, 08:44 PM Sarcastic/degranged :mooner: AllIWantIsYourClutch 08-24-2004, 09:00 PM Originally posted by safety pin i loathe sex jokes. therefore, i loathe teenagers because thats theyre all obsessed with and stuff lolz. seriously, all the god damn dirty minds there are in the world really annoys me, you all are just making yourselves look like jackasses. ME TOO. And I hate when people are like "ahahahahahaha YOU FARTED." Way to be immature. Generally, I have a good sense of humor....when it comes to intelligent things. Very rarely am I stupid and immature ^^. Tundra Wolf 08-24-2004, 09:02 PM Originally posted by AllIWantIsYourClutch ME TOO. And I hate when people are like "ahahahahahaha YOU FARTED." You're funny for not liking my avatar! TheGreatPretender 08-24-2004, 09:19 PM I'm strange I tend to laugh when other people laugh, I also like that kind of slapstick comedy. CheersChild4life 08-24-2004, 09:29 PM Sarcasim. Slapstick comedy. consentida 08-24-2004, 09:31 PM I have a very dry but weird sense of humor. Most people don't get me so the things I find funny are just...not funny to other people. In general, people my age, like all my friends...they think everything under the sun is funny. And I just don't find humor in most things. I'm also really sarcastic and sarcasm serves as humor for me. People don't get that either... dawsongirl 08-24-2004, 10:20 PM Originally posted by Chambers I like -Sarcasm -Irony -Subtle jokes where the humor stems from what is unsaid -Jokes that make fun of problems the world and individual societies face today -Jokes that challenge people Oh no...I've just made humor BORING by trying to analyze the blood out of it. That's just like me. ^yeah, that. Now I don't have to think about what I like. Here's an example of what I find funny. Best toon ever. http://www.offthemark.com *Marilyn Monroe* 08-24-2004, 11:30 PM Deadpan makes me laugh for hours. Sarcasm gets old, but it's still funny. Random stuff is stupid, because what's the point? I love making fun of people. I guess I'm a typical teenager, huh? Titania 08-24-2004, 11:38 PM I adore parodies and satire, and I have a really morbid sense of humor when I'm tired. Mysty Eyes 08-25-2004, 12:19 AM Dry and subtle. Sometimes too much so. I get a lot of blank stares from some people, who simply do not realize that I am joking about something. crystals 08-25-2004, 02:07 AM I've got a pretty good sense of humor. I love a lot of comedy shows, especially Kids In The Hall. A lot of the humor in that can be pretty crazy, but I like it just the same. Sometimes when I hear a really funny joke I end up laughing so hard that I can hardly breathe. Sometimes I laugh so hard that no sound comes out. I think that sometimes I joke too much. I'll say something jokingly to my parents with a straight face and they don't know whether to take me seriously or not. I think that may have been my problem in drama class. I always tried to make people laugh in that class and I always got these blank stares while I was onstage. Sometimes I wonder if people were half asleep when I was trying to make them laugh. I'll also laugh at my own jokes sometimes. dawsongirl 08-25-2004, 04:07 AM Originally posted by AllIWantIsYourClutch ME TOO. And I hate when people are like "ahahahahahaha YOU FARTED." Way to be immature. The way you said that made me laugh. But I agree. I don't mind some off-color humor, but when it's all someone talks about...get away from me. I get a kick out of a lot of the random, simple stuff that not everyone else seems to appreciate. I also love the dry and more witty humor. Precisely why we're best friends in real life. Random things are great. I love humor that makes you think. (However, Kat can have a problem with this at times.) I love dry humor as well. I like to laugh when people screw up at the Olympics and destroy their Olympic dreams. (Unless they're hurt badly...I don't laugh.) In general when people slip or fall, you're going to get laughed at by me. I laugh really hard when I fall on my ass anyway. Also, I have a sick mind, but not all the time. Lastly, I like sarcasm, political humor, corny, and cheesy humor, and laughing at Katie. webuster 08-25-2004, 07:12 AM My sense of humour can be kind of strange- I like wordplay, wit, satire and have a slightly dark sense of humour (a dark sense of humour can be a terrible thing- people without it are offended by darker comedy). I sometimes notice little things about life/behaviour that amuse me- but if I point them out to people, they don't really get the funny side of it. My favourite comedian is Ellen DeGeneres- she's not as vulgar as most comedians, and I'm glad she doesn't go too heavy on sarcasm. I hate sarcasm when it's used to much- I'm guilty of using it too much. I'm not too big a fan of Seinfeld because he uses it a lot. CollegeDropout 08-25-2004, 11:26 AM I'm wicked sarcastic...I have a similar style to chandler bing (matthew perry's character), I make fun of most people, half the time I just give my friends looks and they understand what they mean...I have been told that I have a dry sense of humor, if you do something stupid I will call you on it and we will all have a nice laugh, overall I am a pretty nice person Dude111 10-08-2024, 12:58 AM I have a good sense of humour but I dont like stupid wise cracks,I dont like sarcasm too much...... (Im the same as I have always been basically) Caroline13 10-08-2024, 03:23 PM I'm pretty much like Dude and have no humor or patience from dumb stuff said.... |
