Yeah, the ending is terrible! Janet has known Philip for maybe a week, and Jack has only known Vicky for a few days! It's crazy!

Ugh! I hated that ending! There wasn't one thing I liked about it. Jack and Vicky knew each other for 2 weeks, and suddenly he wanted to propose to her? What was that?! I didn't like Vicky at all, I thought she was a bitch. Phillip wasn't that bad actually, I didn't like how in one episode they hardly know each other and then the next episode they're getting married. Funny, I would've rather seen anyone get with Jack other than Vicky, even Cindy or Mrs. Roper! I think that Jack could've gotten together with Janet, only if they changed the last 4 episodes.

There is no set timeline on this show, right? They could've been together longer than that. What do I know, though. Nothing. And I haven't even seen the finale yet.

I know Jack and Vicky were together for only 2 weeks because Vicky's dad said he's had an ulcer since Jack and Vicky started seeing each other, from 2 weeks ago.

I hated the ending. I hated both Vicky & Phillip too. It was out of character for both Jack & Janet to make such a commitment with someone they hardly even knew. And who is to blame----The stupid PRODUCERS ofcourse. I wish that Jack & Janet had gotten together they were so wonderful together.

Stupid Stupid Producers:mad:

I know jack should have moved in with janet and terri should have been the one to marry someone out of the show. i hate what they did to terri. they didn't give her a very good ending. they just said she's moving away and that's it. i don't think that was right at all.

Yeah I hated that! I think she should've gotten married, she really deserved it.

I think I wouldn't mind the series's ending, with Janet & Phillip and Jack & Vicky paired, as much if the writing hadn't suffered so much at the end of Three's Company. The last few episodes weren't that funny, in my opinion. They were just serving the purpose of transitioning the show into Three's a Crowd.

I know the episode before the final when Jack first met Vicky was horrible. Their was no Larry or Furley and the show mostly revolved around Jack and Vicky. I think that might be my least favorite episode.

It was as if the writers just didn't care about the characters and the show anymore. The transition to Three's A Crowd was so forced and rushed. Those last few episodes Jack, Janet and even Terri acted IMO very OOC. What were the TPTB thinking (besides $$$, of course)? Three's Company was at a very different place character-wise than when the British counterpart Man About The House spun-off into Robin's Nest. I think that's the tragic aspect of Three’s Company; TPTB felt 3C was nothing more than an Americanized carbon copy than a unique show unto itself.

Ugh! Jack and Vicky had zero chemistry. Even though Philip and Janet had no chemistry also; at least they went off into oblivion so it didn't matter. There was just no way that Three's A Crowd was going to work if the main couple [Jack/Vicky] wasn't believable.

Poor Janet had the lousiest wedding I've ever seen. As a long-term fan favorite character she deserved more than what she got. Then again look what happened to Chrissy.... Well, at least Janet didn't get beheaded* (so that Jack could be free to go off with that wooden golem called Vicky) but then again looking at Philip maybe a beheading would've been a more merciful end.**

On another note:
In Forget Me Not (the episode before Janet meets Philip) when Janet and Jack are on the couch with Jack leaning on Janet's shoulder--I thought they looked like a younger version of Kate and Paul from 8 Simple Rules....
Gosh, that's freaky! omg:

*Xena reference (That's got to be the worst way to end a series IHMO.)

** I personally feel (other than the obvious rating gimmick) that the major reason Janet was given such a quickie (and shoddy at that) wedding was to neutralize her as a potential threat to the Jack and Vicky relationship. If Janet wasn't a threat how come she had to get married? She could have easily gone off to Hawaii with Terri or both she and Terri could've stayed in the apt to find another roommate as Jack left to live with Vicky.

Even if a wedding was needed as a catalyst to get Jack to propose to Vicky for the set-up to Three's A Crowd; how come Terri wasn't the one to get married? Matter of fact, Terri should've been married off too so that the show could've ended in a double, quickie, shoddy wedding ratings stunt. :D That would've made Jack even more adamant about getting married since both his roommates managed to beat him down the aisle.

Aw, well ... I guess TPTB might've been well aware of the potential problem of J/J and had to sink that ship in order for J/V to be somewhat believable and acceptable.
