I personally thought she was annoying. Was not a huge fan of Teresa.

I agree. I think Teresa was just a sign of the writers running out of ideas for stories. Meathead and Gloria had moved out and Teresa was supposed to become a source of irritation for Archie, but she simply wasn't funny. I don't even think she had one line during "The Draft Dodger" episode. She just sat there with her back to the camera lol.

I love the ep in which she gets "caught" with her boyfriend in the BONKERS household....as they return unexpectedly!

How many episodes were Teresa in? I really only remember seeing her in 3 & one of them was the episode where the Bunkers come home & catch her with her boyfriend.

She was in a total of five episodes. I thought she appeared more than five times.

Guys,

I agree about Teresa. But as I recall, the Stivic's didn't move away until early in 1978, Teresa moved in on AITF around October of 1976.

Teresa moved in with the Bunkers midway through the 1976/77 season. She left without a trace when the show was still in the middle of that season.I believe she had appeared in exactly six episodes. The last episode she appeared in was"Fire"where Edith had discovered a fire in the bathroom in the middle of the night.

I rather liked Teresa. She seemed to get along remarkabley well with Edith,Mike and Gloria.Kind of like a temporary addition to the family.I think my favourite Teresa episode was"The Boarder Patrol"the episode that was mentioned earlier in this thread, where she has her boyfriend over when the Bunkers unexpectedly return home after having missed their bus out of town. That was one of their funniest episodes. Another favourite and funny scene with Teresa, was during the episode"Mike Goes Skiing",when Teresa is asleep on the Stivics'livingroom sofa, while babysitting Joey.Gloria had gone out to a party.Mike returns home early from his skiing trip.Thinking Gloria is under the blanket on the couch,he romantically tries to surprise her,but ends up freaking out Teresa."WHAT ARE DOING"she yells hitting him with her pillow"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SLIDING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN".

I never cared for Theresa. She wasn't funny. I'm glad she wasn't around for too long.

A failed attempt by the writers to create a rift between Archie and a hispanic woman. Teresa stunk!

I didn't feel Theresa added anything to the show - even Stephanie was a better addition than her.

When I think of Teresa, I think one segment where Archie and Teresa are watching a Gozilla movie and Archie starts going on about how "It serves dem J-ps right for what dey did to us at poil harbor". The look on Teresa's face was priceless. It seemed like she thinking , " YOU ARE ONE SICK PUPPY!"

Even Though Teresa was not that much of an addition to the show, i still prefer her more than Stephanie

Oh I agree!

I mean she wasn't a GREAT character, but she wasn't as bad as people made her out to be. (I loved how she called Archie "Mr Bonkers!" LOL!) And remember, I don't think that she was made to be a perminent fixture in the cast either. When Edith rented out Gloria's old room I think that she was just lookiing for a way to bring some added income into the house. (Archie wasn't laid off at the time, right?) There is an episode over breakfast where Gloria reminds Archie that Teresa would only be staying with them for three weeks.

I thought Liz Torres had a good rapport with the cast. When she first moved in, it was cute how she got Gloria talking in Spanish and doing the Charo impression at the dinner table. It's a funny scene.

That's when All In The Family should have ended. Once Meathead and Gloria moved out of the Bunkers. From 70-74, it was classic.

There was no point to her - although they could of at least mentioned what happened to her.

Didn't she get another job? I thought since she was the maid that was the obvious reason for her departure. I have to see that episode again. For some reason i can never catch the 76-77 season

I wasn't too fond of the Thresa character myself, they should have used an older hispanic woman who could be like Florence. He needed someone to keep him on his toes, I'm thinking the lead woman from that short lived series called Viva Valdez. Or imgagine Archie trading insults with Benny from George Lopez show, that would be a scream.
