have you sold off any TV-DVD's?

I got rid of my Friends sets awhile back because I was officially sick of the show after it ended, as well as the fact that none of the DVD sets I had the urge to watch more than once (practically every other DVD I have has episodes I'll wanna watch again and again... I've seen certain Buffy and South Park episodes upwards of 20 times).

I also sold my Queer As Folk DVD's because it's too expensive an addiction and plus watching seasons 1-3 in order, you can see what a lackluster show it really is, and how shallow it is as well.

Anyone else?

Nope. I don't have that many anyway.

haha, I took your spot.

But no, I havent.
Although getting rid of ALF is very tempting.
But I wouldnt get much for it so its not worth it.

I'd trade you my AITF season 2 for ALF, 'cept you have AITF already.

I haven't sold any of my TV-DVDs, but definitely would be willing to part with a few of 'em. Upright Citizens Brigade: Season 1 springs to mind. This was a blind buy, and I don't really care for the show at all. I still haven't watched the 3rd disc, and don't think I ever will. The set will forever collect dust on my shelf, unless I eventually trade or sell it.

I'd also sell my Simpsons DVD sets. (I have seasons 1 and 3) I've lost interest in the show (Family Guy is much funnier, IMO) and probably won't watch these sets again, and definitely won't be buying future sets.

I do think Family Guy is definately fresher than the Simpsons, but there's room in my heart for both series. I cannot wait for season 5 next summer because from what I hear, s5 was the last "great" season.

I'd buy Simpsons S3 from you. I only have 1 & 4 right now.

As for me...Hmmm. I'd probably sell my AITF S3 DVD. I don't have much interest in re-watching it...I never finished the 2nd disc and I'll probably never start on the 3rd disc, anyway.

I had Punky Brewster S1, but I sold that on eBay about a week after it came out, back in June.

I miiiiiiiiiiight sell my SBTB S1&2/3&4 DVD's. I don't know yet. I've watched it far too many times in the last 5 years.

just out of curiosity, hope not to get too personal, because I've seen you mention this before

are you deaf or do you just have some severe hearing loss? I noticed you said you were going to see Vicki Lawrence live, so I was curious how you're going to enjoy it.

I got it free from my uncle, so its no loss to me.

I've only seen S&H once (the John Ritter episode) and didn't really like it too much

I don't mention it too much, but I don't keep it a secret...Yeah, I have a hearing loss...Severe hearing loss. I rely on sign language to talk...and if I talk to somebody that doesn't know sign language, a pen/some paper works really well.

I got an interpreter for when I see Vicki again...Same deal with when I saw her last year...I had another one come with me, so I was able to enjoy it then. :)

I haven't gotten rid of any TVDVDs yet but I do want to get rid of The Simpsons Season 1 and Season 2 and Malcom in the Middle Season 1. I lost interest in both shows really fast. I don't even think I watched all of Season 2 of the Simpsons yet. I like Family Guy and Futurama so much more than I like The Simpsons.

I think PZelda might be interested in the Simpsons season 2.

Malcolm is okay but I'd never buy it

you guys do realize, when you sell these dvds because you "got tired" of the series, many years later when you WANT to watch them again, you won't be able to, and then you'll probably go ranting on the web cause' its not on tv anymore and you sold the dvds....

Please, If you liked the series, keep the dvd and spare us from the ranting, thanks ;) :p

 I'm certain it's not going to happen to me. I watched SBTB so much in the last 5 years, I can practically quote specific parts of an episode by heart.

you don't have to be so rude.

I sold Friends because outside of the first season (I don't think the first year was the best... but in terms of stand-alone episodes... they had the most), the episodes really don't have much replay value. And it'll be a show like Cosby or Cheers or Seinfeld that is guarenteed to be in syndication nonstop for at least the next 15 years so it's not like anyone's ever going to "miss" it. While I like the show, the latter seasons (even as far back as season 3) have somewhat of a soap feel to it. While I like sci-fi dramas with a soap edge (Buffy, Roswell, Charmed, etc...) it doesn't work as well on sitcoms. I lost a lot of interest during Sex And The City's final season because it stopped being funny and started being a soap opera.

I got rid of Queer As Folk because after having a marathon of seasons 1-3 over about 2 weeks, I was able to see how weak the show really is, and how I disliked the majority of the characters. Watching them on Showtime is different than watching them in order. I thought the show really turned each character for the worst.

Don't be so damn rude about people selling the DVD's, it's a free country and you don't have to be stuck with DVD's you bought just because you bought them.
