For crying out loud people ITS A FREAKING MESSAGE BOARD. These posts are allowed. There have been numerous threads announcing the opening of a website or message board throughout the years on this board. The only ones that are against the rules are the ones companies post to promote themselves.

yea, like Sarah said, I think as long as the person isn't trying to advertise something or make some money, then posting a link is okay...

It's only violating the rules if they're just trying to promote themselves. in this case, it's an individual personally inviting us to his message board. a lot of people have posted topics inviting everyone to their sites/message board and no one's gotten in trouble for it, except for that guy that posted 94 threads about his political board. it's really only advertisements that say "EAT NORMALLY AND LOSE WEIGHT!!!!!!1" that get closed.
