I wish my local channels would air a show like Hogan's Heroe's. They only air mostly current shows.

That "Hogans Heroes" marathon isn't just on your (our) local UPN station, it's the UPN network that's showing it.

And I agree with you. I HATE that show!!!

"The Cosby Show"-it's on 5 nights a week; now they've also put it on Saturdays!!

"Star Trek: Voyager"-I'm a HUGE treky; and this one is my favorite; but it's been on 4 nights a week for the past 4 years; and now they're also showing it on Saturday nights; now I'm starting to get tied of it!!

Frasier only airs once a night here, but I dont even watch it then.
Ive only seen half the episodes (if that).... so when I get the DVDs, they'll be all the better.

they are quite modest with Friends compared to the 8 episodes of Seinfeld they air on Wednesdays

The worst culprit is TNT and Law And Order though, now THAT is overplayed

True, Seinfeld is a bit overplayed on many stasions, and L&O takes up alot of time on TNT's schedule. I'm amazed that TNT devoted so much time to L&O, since it is a one hour show. Sitcoms usually are the staple for reruns.

thats true. but the difference here is that Law And Order (and the other 2 shows in the franchise) get HUGE RATINGS. They are the type of show that can be replayed w/out much time commitment because they do not have any serliazed stories. so you can watch 1 episode w/out having to commit to another episode. Its a formula that works well and seems to be everywhere these days (the CSI's, Cold Case, and so on and so forth)> Thats why TNT commits so much time to L&O and USA to SVU. (hmm makes me wonder why CI isn't anywhere in syndication.)....

You're right though, normally half-hour sitcoms do better in reruns, but sometimes if an hour show is popular enough it can do well in syndication. case in point- 90210- a show that shattered ratings records when in debuted in syndication, in some markets it actually tripled the ratings for that area.

TNT in particular seems to see this idea as its entire syndication slate is made up of 1-hour dramas, ER, NYPD BLUE, Law and Order, Judging Amy, Charmed, Angel and coming in i believe 2006, Alias.

In My Area-

Everybody Loves Raymond airs on not 1, not 2, not 3 but FOUR different stations. and thats NOT including TBS! ARRG>

King Of Queens is also a bit overplayed, 2 different stations, 3 different timeslots.

What Else? hmmm...

That 70's Show... I used to like it, but after this year i don't think i can take it anymore. it airs on my UPN, FOX, CBS and ABC stations.

oh and The Golden Girls. and thats just on Lifetime, but it seems to be on like, what twice every hour?

It's a satire, not a documentary. It's not supposed to be realistic.

There are three shows in my town that are overplayed all the time:

The Cosby Show- It's on the FOX, ABC, and WB affiliates AND an independent station.

Seinfeld- It's on the CBS and independent stations.

and one that may shock some on this site

Who's the Boss?- It is on the FOX, NBC, and independent stations (all on weekends or late at night), and they're showing the same episodes over and over again!

ABC Family is not a local TV Station. The question was what TV show is being ran a lot on the TV Stations in your local area?
