Hallmark lost rights this past June.
factsoflife 08-21-2004, 10:28 PM Ok. But didn't they take it off the air way before that? any chance it'll show up at another network? (Lifetime? We? Oxygen, ANYWHERE?) Come on network programmers WE NEED OUR FACTS OF LIFE!

Yes, they haven't aired it since late 2002, but they JUST lost rights in June 2004. I've heard no mention of any network picking this show up.
Lady T 08-21-2004, 11:33 PM Darnit they took off McMillan and Wife; I love that show...
Aw man, they moved the M*A*S*H block up an hour!
I'll never get home in time to see it all!
I'll have to quit my job, I guess...
;)
mikew_tv2002 08-22-2004, 10:54 AM You were (probably still are) lucky to get the uncut “M*A*S*H” episodes on Hallmark. Here in Canada, Prime still shows the cut episodes, and in production order as opposed to the order of original airdate. Sometimes airing in production order causes the continuity thing to get shaken up. I like continuity as long as it's done in the order of the original air dates.
Dean Winchester 08-22-2004, 01:03 PM I agree, Hallmark sucks for what they did to Facts Of Life. Nothing against MASH, but surely they could give one of the 4 hours to FOL.

hey no fair, you've already got all the good Mash seasons on DVD (okay, season 7 was decent, but 8-11 were for the birds) AND 4 hours a day on Hallmark. Us FOL fans have nothing :( lol
factsoflife 08-22-2004, 11:29 PM I know we can't even get DVD's because no that show isn't released. Two Guys A Girl And A Pizza Place is, but no, not Facts Of Life.. oh the humanity.

So true. It's a shame that so many one season wonders are on DVD, but some truly great shows are still unreleased.
factsoflife 08-23-2004, 12:57 AM Agreed. Although in this case i was referinf more to the fact that TGAGAAPP is a truly awful show. i don't mind being able to pick up series i liked that only had 1 season. but i also want to be able to see classic shows like FOL on DVD!
COME ON DVD COMPANINES GET US OUR FACTS OF LIFE!
_________
THE FACTS OF LIFE- DELIVERING CLASSIC COMEDY SINCE 1979. WE NEED IT ON DVD/VIDEO/IN SYNDICATION.

I think if Diff'rent Strokes sells well, we'll probably see a "season 1 and 2" set much like Just Shoot Me (as there's 29 episodes between the two seasons) probably around the same time season 2 of DS comes out. I hope so

I hope so Uggh thatll take a while...DS is owned by Colombia TriStar, along with FOL, I believe, and they release really really slow

well, my prediction/hope is that we'll see season 2 of DS and seasons 1-2 of FOL out around spring 2005.
Even if you don't like Diff'rent Strokes, find it cheap and then sell it, because the more it sells, the faster Columbia will release them and that will make it the more likely we'll see FOL on DVD, since Columbia assumes they'll probably have a lot of common purchasers
