blackbeard 08-20-2004, 11:52 AM hopefully someone at paramount sees how many people love wings and decides soon to release it for us. I have been reading the posts about how they are talking about the release but lets stop talking paramount and show us wingnuts some action and please release our favorite show. Right now my daughters and I are watching the Wings marathon on TVland and it brings me back to the days when Wings was on mornings on USA. Ahh, a civilized time to watch our show, while the sun is shining. lol

I know Paramount could make some great money by releasing Wings on DVD. Whether they think so or not, this show has a pretty big fanbase, and would sell very well.
 I know it's weird seeing Wings on when there's daylight out there
Adamantium 08-20-2004, 07:02 PM I voted for it, so I'm one of the numbers there. ;)
I remember a couple years ago, I checked and it was like in the 100s. N@N may not be getting big ratings with it, but it's obvious that it's helped made fans for the show. And you can only vote once for each show, so we know that 1 person isn't voting over and over again.
It will come out on DVD one day. What a wonderful day that will be!
Janice 08-20-2004, 09:45 PM That's good news. Wings is an underrated show. I think the majority of people who watch the show, end up loving it.

True. The problem is getting them to watch it.
I made my younger sister a fan of the show. Before she had seen it, she was making fun of it, too.

I know!! I forgot when the Wings marathons were gonna be on TV Land, but I was flipping through the channels today and caught it, so I watched a few episodes. It was so weird watching it while it was still light outsde!! LOL. And my parents were watching with me, and they were like, "OH! I haven't seen this show in YEARS!" and were laughing a lot, so that was really cool.
webteen 08-21-2004, 01:14 AM Wings is like every other old show, except its kind of better. People don't like it cause they never see it or hear opinions about it from others. So that's the only reason it's so underated. Ppl talk about the show all the time on television...
I've heard ppl mention it tons of times on VH1 and a few times on MTV even.
13wings13 08-21-2004, 04:37 PM Yeah i know, iwas thinking the same thing. I havent seen this on when its light out since it was on USA. lol

See? THIS is what I mean when I say that these TV Land marathons could turn more people on to "Wings"....Your parents were able to catch an episode and become reacquainted with the "Wings" gang. That's GREAT!
I've heard some people complain that a newer series like "Wings" really doesn't belong on a nostalgic "Classic TV" station like TV Land, but I think that "Wings", although "newer" in years, has the same classic style of TV comedy writing as "I Love Lucy", "The Honeymooners", "Dick Van Dyke" and others.
webteen 08-22-2004, 02:10 AM It is Classic. It's just a modern classic.
13wings13 08-22-2004, 07:59 PM So True. A Truly Classic television show.:)
