I just took a vacation this to NYC weekend, and I found that I liked it alot better than my hometown. I made a lot of new friends, the people are cooler, the guys look better, it's more diverse, and I just love it there! I was sad when I had to leave. Now that I'm back home, I'm glad I'm back w/ my fam, but I miss NYC. I'm tired of seeing the same old people again, and when I got back to school, I had the attitude like "I don't wanna be here, I wish I stayed in NY", but i don't want to be that way. How can I move on? I'd love to go back, but it isn't everyday I get a free trip somewhere. But I'm only a kid, so I can't just go anytime I want...This is why I don't like to get too attatched to people that live so far away from me because I get sad when it's time 2 go. Help!

go get standed in a desert alone for a week so you'll realize how good your town is. :grr:

i've heard that NYC is fun to visit but living there can be a hassle because it's so big, you'll probably have to go to places like school that will take forever to get to, plus there's so much traffic which will make it harder.

I've been begging for the longest time and it's almost like they're ignoring me, always saying yeah yeah we'll go...and we don't. See, that's the thing. I never get anything I REALLY want...ever.

ya but u know, the people who live there are used to that lifestyle, so traffic probably doesn't give them road rage. I mean, I thought my hometown was ALL that! then I went to NYC, I just love those cute accents. The people are so down2earth, and very stylish. People here dress plain nad simple, but in NYC, everybody looks good, and those are my type of people. Now i know why people talk about it sooo much, and why soo many movies and videos are shot there. I can't wait untill 3 more years (when I graduate high school). I'll be up outta this boring state...

Same here. NYU sent me an application earlier this week. That school is #2 on my list. Hunter College is my first choice. I think living in NYC would be a great place to live. I live on Long Island so I'm not too far away anyway.

Mmhmm, that's me. That's what I wanna do, I want to start by going to college and eventually live there. The only hard thing is leaving family...unless I can force them all to move there, too :grr:

I live upstate and it's not THAT bad. It's not like we're the only state that get's snow. NY isn't the most beautiful, fun place but it isn't horrible.

But of course, that isn't enough for me. I need excitement.

That is true, for living in Manhattan. I think after college I'd probably live in Brooklyn or perhaps even Queens, I'd never be able to afford Manhattan

The state itself is HORRIBLE. Honestly, it really is. Believe him and me.

But the CITY shouldn't be part of the state. It's too amazing to belong to this crap for crap state. Ugh, I mean, come on, it's horrible here. But when I went to NYC, seriously, I felt at home. Most people were like, "OHMIGAWWWWWW PEOPLE ARE GONNA MUG ME!!!" I just walked around normally. Only thing different was I had a tighter grip on my camera, but other than that, I didn't feel threatened. Ugh, when I came back, I was a mess. I was like, "Nope, this is just not cutting it for me."

But anyways, yes, listen to CAPS LOCK BOY, he's making some sense.
