I'm sure we all agree that the show was great, but everything must come to an end. Who was working and on what after their run on the show ended. Let's try to list out the addl projects of all the cast members. As many as we can think of - I'm not starting out with much, but heres's what i got so far:

James Evans/John Amos
Roots
The Player's Club
Coming to America
TV show on UPN, playing the father

Florida/Ester Rolle
Down in the Delta
Rosewood

Wologna-Janet Du Bois
Imma get you Sucka
Verizon commercial

Thelma/Bernadette S.
Episode of Martin

Michael
??

JJ
Was he one of those Sidney P/Bill Cosby movies?
??

Post yours.

Last Year I saw Jimmie Walker on Star Dates that was on the E! Network; he looked like he had gained 40 pounds since his days at Good Times, mind you ,he was not fat, but he just went from super skinny to normal..To me, JimmieWalker came across as a pretentious snob,; trying his hardest to come across as some who was sophiscated and articulate, which in his case made him look like an arrogant indidvidual, so I was not very impressed with his behavior, nor, was I impressed with the way he conducted himself..He just seemed very superfical...

Michael - to my full understanding:
Is a teacher and devotes much of his time to the African-American cause.

Esther Rolle was also in "Driving Miss Daisy" and "My Fellow Americans". She played a cook in both.

Jimmy Walker also had a short-lived show called Bustin Loose. It proved why he couldn't get a job after GT. Horrible show.

This is 2013 and John is in the commericals for Jonny Conron law firm and a few years ago he did some episodes of 2 And A Half Men. He played a gay guy and his partner was white. I think Jimmy is always going to be type cast as JJ, luckily he can do stand up.

Jimmy has been married since 1980 to former actress Jere Fields.

Basically the ones who could act(Amos, Rolle, and Du Bois) got work and the ones who weren't the best actors(Bernadette, Ralph Carter, and especially Jimmie Walker) didn't get work. I don't think the three kids were authentic actors though Bernadette Stanis was solid at times. They just had a lot of personality!

Some people for some reason get type cast and others don't. Stanley Livingston who played Chip on My three Sons said it can be good and bad. Sometimes you get type cast and sometimes because you have all that experience it can open doors.

Bernadette was the worst actor of them all which is probably why she didn't get work

Who know why Bustin' Loose didn't make it, it may not have been Jimmy 's fault. But I'm sure lots of people tuned in and expected to heat Dy-no-might. And John is lucky to get work after GT because when when you're known as a "touble maker" people don't want to hire you because they think you will act like that on their show. That's why it's not always good to speek your mind no matter how you feel. If you google Jon Amos you'll find out he's done alot of acting since GT so good for him.
