First of all, who would be the Jack and Janet's third roommate? Chrissy, Cindy, or Terri?
Secondly, what would happen in the episode? What would the surprises be? Where did everyone end up?
This would be my plot:
Jack, a divorcee (having been divorced since 1985--as soon as that Three's a Crowd series ended) returns from a ten-year stint as a chef in Paris. Having lost touch with his old friends, he visits the Regal Beagle, which has since become a gay bar (that nude painting of him is back, and it's hanging on the wall!!!). As a sad Jack exits the gay bar, who should pass by but Mr. Furley!
"Vicki wasn't able to cure you after all," Mr. Furley muses. The long-lost friends hug excitedly, until Mr. Furley realizes that they're standing outside a gay bar, and he quickly breaks off the hug! Mr. Furley has updated his look...he no longer wears those earth-toned 60's vests. Instead he wears a more modern Michael Jackson red zipper jacket.
Jack moves into one of Mr. Furley's remodeled condos. Loneliness sets in, he begins visiting internet chat rooms with a fake name...and eventually he meets a woman he has a lot in common with. They arrange to meet, and the woman turns out to be...Janet. Just like in that computer dating episode, but this time this time the date doesn't end with "good night." They go back to Janet's place and do what they should have done 20 years ago.
A few hours later, Philip (Janet's husband) comes home and is very unhappy. Jack wraps a sheet around himself and runs down the street, with Philip chasing behind him in a bathrobe. Philip catches up to Jack and grabs him from behind. Of course Mr. Furley drives by right at this instant. He slams on the breaks of his Cadillac and scolds Jack for being so indiscreet. This distracts Philip, and Jack is able to sprint away. Furley reluctantly lets Jack in his Cadillac and they start pulling away with Philip in pursuit on foot. At an intersection, Furley runs a red light, and Philip, running closely behind, gets struck by an oncoming car. Cindy Snow is the driver. Philip raises his head to see what hit him, and Cindy opens the car to get out, accidentally slamming Philip in the head with the car door.
Suddenly the police are behind Furley and Jack, with the sirens blaring. Furley pulls over, fearing they will be charged with assaulting Philip. However they escape with a citation for running a red light. Jack also gets a citation for indecent exposure, and Furley nearly gets written up when the cop thinks he was soliciting a prostitute (Jack)!!!
Jack, Janet, Cindy and Furley go to the hospital to check on Philip, who is now dead. They get the bad (good?)news from Dr. Terry Alden, who decided to go to medical school in Hawaii.
Soon everyone is planning Jack and Janet's wedding. Furley counsels Jack on his husbandly duties. On the trip up the aisle, flowermaid Cindy trips, taking out the priest. The gang desperately tries to get a new priest, and turns to the yellow pages. Soon the church doorbell rings, and in walks a distinguished gray-haired gentleman dressed in black. "Larry!" everyone yells in unison.
After performing the ceremony, Larry explains that he originally joined the priesthood because he felt that more people would buy used cars from a priest. But soon he felt a calling and became dedicated to a life of religion. Terry, who catches Janet's bouquet, is impressed with the new mature Larry but is wary of starting anything because he's now a man of the cloth. Larry spies on Terry swimming in the Melrose-Place-like pool of Furley's condos, and gets a different calling. He decides to shed the religious cloth...literally! He rips off his clothes and jumps in the pool with Terry. Now its Furley holding the binoculars.
Jack and Janet go on their honeymoon to Disneyland. They had planned to go to the Grand Canyon, but the car they bought from Larry breaks down in Anaheim. When they return, Janet buys that painting back from the Regal Beagle and she has a painting made of herself. They hang both paintings in the bedroom...next to Jack's Beatles poster.
Then what?
