I can't think of anybody. How 'bout it guys?

Peg: Thanks, Al. After 25 years, you're finally leaving me satisified!

I dunno... Dana Plato was irreplaceable. I really can't imagine anybody doing the Kimberly role any justice other than Dana.

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

That is one question that I have absolutely no objectivity about. Even if I did I don't think I could imagine anyone but Dana playing Kimberly. The DS reunion or recast movie, if there ever is one, would have a huge void in it as far I can see.

If there ever were to be a DS reunion (which is highly unlikely) Dana wouldn't have to be replaced...Kimberly could just be living in Paris as a model again!

That is a good idea, but since everyone
knows that Dana Plato has passed away,
that might not work. They could have
done a reunion and still could. They
could have the reunion dedicated in Dana
Plato's honor and memory. I think that
would be a good idea! It's been done
before.

I want a reunion movie, but that would be too sad to see a movie about Kimberly dying. I like the original idea of dedicating it to Dana Plato. I don't know how they would explain Kimberly's absence, but I wouldn't want her dead also. I know this sounds really weird, but Dana may be dead- but Kimberly is still alive in my mind.

If they did decide to recast the role of Kimberly, I wonder if Lecy Goranson
(1st Becky on Roseanne)would be good, she kinda looks like Dana Plato.

i dont think there will ever be a reunion because of all the unhappiness on the show and no one can ever play kimberly the best like dana plato did

I hate changes in cast members. And only Dana Plato can play Kimberly....ditto for all the other characters too.

Exactly. Unfortunately, there probably will never be one though... at least there will always be the original DS.

Simple...No one. She could never be replaced. She always seemed happy on camera. No one could ever come close to replacing her.

R.I.P. Dana Michelle Plato

I think that one guy is right. Dana Plato is dead. But Kimberly Drummond is not.

no one would play kimberly. they'd have to come up with a storyline such as kimberley decided to leave the US and head to another country in europe for example. dana is irreplacable. you cannot replace her with someone else, of whom won't be as good as, nor better than dana

Well, Dana was only in a few episodes of the last season anyways, so if they had to recast or not, it would not matter.

The reunuion would definitely have for sure...

Mr. D.
Maggie
Arnold
Willis
Sam

I don't know about housemaids, as they came and went, but Pearl was around the longest and was still there when the series ended in 1986. They'd need more cast, so I'd say Lisa, Dudley and Janet Jackson for sure would also have to be there. They could tie in perfectly with Arnold and Willis' futures.

The show has aged. it has ben 22 years sine it ended, and Willis would have graduated college in 1990 and Arnold was already a Freshman in High School I believe when the series ended, so 1993 he would have graduated high school and 1997 college if he went.

By now, the characters would definitely be out of the college setting. Sam would also be, as he was only a few years younger than Arnold.

Dudley and Arnold would still be best friends. Willis would have married his high school girlfriend played by Janet Jackson, sometime in the mid 1990s. They would be married in the reunion and have a few kids. Arnold I'd assume would probably not be married, but Lisa would be chasing after him. I remember they were locked in the dark room together in one of the last few episodes and she said she liked him. Sam will be dating a girl and working with Arnold and Dudley at the newspaper. Willis would be in music and dancing and Arnold would be into Photography and press. Mr. D. would be getting ready to retire, as he is in his 80s and stayed with the buisness too long. Willis and Arnold will take it over after he retires.

Kimberly, if she returns would be a teacher, and have a husband and a few kids, if not, there's always Europe, remember she did go away there before.

The only way for them to have a Diff'rent Strokes reuinon would be if Conrad Bain is in good health. It probaboly would still work if it was only Arnold and Willis, but you need all 3. Arnold, Willis and Mr. Drummond. So I doubt there will ever be one. Conrad looks like he is getting very old and tired from his interviews. I don't think he'd be up to doing it. I think the show doing a reunion should have happened in the 1990s. That was the only good time to do one, just like Gimme A Break, which will never have one. At least then everone who left the series' were in good health and alive. Facts of life had Mrs. G., and she is really getting on in years, but it was nice they did one before she passes. Nobody knows what the future will bring, that's why if they need to do TV reunions of the 1980s shows to do them NOW and not wait any longer, as by 2010 or so, a lot of fatherly and motherly figures on those shows (some of those shows in which they were in their 50s at the time) will no longer be in good health or up to it. It just won't be the same.

I would love to see a reunion movie but sadly it will never happen. One of the shows main stars is no longer with us.And also if she was still alive do you think Gary Colman would want to play Arnold Jackson again?
