9:00-10:00-Who's The Boss
10:00-11:00- Fresh Prince(Father Hood)
11:00-12:00- Murphy Brown
12:00-1:00- Fresh Prince

Mr. Darlene 08-17-2004, 01:36 PM If Wings is going to be featured instead of Roseanne, I may just have to kill myself.
*But if get Oxygen, you can watch it four times a day!*
USTVFanFromUK 08-17-2004, 05:34 PM Um, no! Roseanne's their #1 show at the moment and they have the rights to it for at least 5 years.
Zachary_2 08-17-2004, 06:37 PM Roseanne better stsy on Nick@Nite. If that's the schedule, I may have to do something I rarely have to do....change the channel:p

Roseanne and Cosby Show have got to be their top rated shows. If they decide to show four episodes of Whos the Boss, then Nick at Night is really going to hell. Even in N@N's twisted world, I can't imagine theyd go from showing one episode of Wings a night to four. If they take off Roseanne and Cosby, I'm boycotting N@N.

Ditto.
That schedule sux, it should be something like this
8:00 - 9:00 Cosby Show
9:00 - 10:00 Roseanne
10:00 - 11:00 Cheers
11:00 - 12:00 Whos The Boss
12:00 - 1:00 Full House
1:00 - 2:00 Threes Company
2:00 - 3:00 Wings
3:00 - 3:30 Cosby Show
3:30 - 4:00 Roseanne
4:00 - 4:30 Whos The Boss
4:30 - 5:00 Cheers
I put Cosby, Roseanne, & Cheers so early because since school started, I'm only allowed to stay up til 11:00:(
Oh well, I get to watch Roseanne and since I have Nick 2, I can watch cheers in the morning:)

troopoleon8897 08-18-2004, 11:47 AM Official press release:
F.Y.I.
CANDICE BERGEN’S HIT SITCOM MURPHY BROWN TO JOIN
NICK AT NITE LINE-UP IN JANUARY 2005
New York, NY, May 5, 2004 – Acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Candice Bergen brings the world of broadcast journalism to Nick at Nite this January when the network launches the witty, hit comedy Murphy Brown. The show stars Bergen as a reporter for F.Y.I., a successful prime time news magazine show, whose friends and co-workers help her to find balance in her hectic life.
“Candice Bergin as Murphy Brown played one of the most original, distinctive female characters on television,” explains Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite. “The show also had one of the funniest, most-memorable teams of talent, and we are thrilled that it is joining the network.”
Created by Diane English, the comedy centers around life at F.Y.I, a weekly CBS news magazine show, and, more specifically, around Murphy Brown (Candice Bergen), a driven and sarcastic reporter who also happens to be a recovering alcoholic. Murphy’s demanding ways also play a part in a running gag on the series, as she was never able to hold on to any of her secretaries. Jim Dial (Charles Kimbrough) is the uptight senior anchor, and Frank Fontana (Joe Regalbuto) is her best friend and investigative reporter for F.Y.I. Always getting on Murphy’s nerves is Corky Sherwood (Faith Ford), a former Miss America whose primary assets are her looks and her energy, and rounding out the news team is the neurotic, young show producer, Miles Silverberg (Grant Shaud), who is not always effective in getting respect from his staff. Phil (Pat Corley) owns the neighborhood bar and is a father figure to them all, and Eldin, (Robert Pastorelli) Murphy’s eccentric house painter, is always around and somehow never seems able to finish his work. Murphy Brown ran for 10 seasons and was plagued by controversy in 1992 when Murphy became pregnant and decided to raise the child alone. Vice President Dan Quayle blasted the decision, stating that it deteriorated family values, making the program a top news story. There were a number of real-life news personalities who appeared as themselves, including Connie Chung, Larry King, Linda Ellerbee, Walter Cronkite and many more.
troopoleon8897 08-18-2004, 11:52 AM NICK AT NITE CROWNS WILL SMITH WHEN
THE FRESH PRINCE OF BEL AIR JOINS
NICK AT NITE LINE-UP IN SEPTEMBER
New York, NY, May 5, 2004 – Grammy Award-winning rapper and celebrated film and television performer Will Smith settles into his throne as the Prince of Bel Air when the hilarious hit comedy, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, joins the Nick at Nite line-up beginning Monday, September 13, 2004. Amid the hilarious comedy of clashing cultures as the wealthy Banks family opens their home - and their checkbook - to their needy relative Will, the teen adapts easily to their indulgent lifestyle and reminds them that the simplest pleasures of family life can't be bought at any price.
“Will is an icon, and this “fish out of water” sitcom is completely fun and family-friendly – a perfect fit for Nick at Nite,” explains Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite.
Co-executive-produced by music legend Quincy Jones, the NBC comedy aired from 1990 to 1996 and focuses on Will (Smith), a teenager from a tough West Philadelphia neighborhood whose mother sends him to live with his wealthy relatives in Bel Air, California. It’s a tough adjustment for the teenager at first, whose streetwise ways don’t seem to fit in with their ornate mansion, luxurious cars and live-in butler. Will immediately clashes with Uncle Phillip (James Avery), a pompous, successful lawyer who was raised in a tough neighborhood much like Will’s and enjoys teaching him lessons and catching him on his crazy shenanigans. Aunt Vivian (Janet-Hubert Whitten and later Daphne Maxwell Reid) is the mediator between the two, and Geoffrey (Joseph Marcell), the always-proper butler, becomes one of Will’s closest allies. Among his cousins, Will enjoys teasing the preppy Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro) and spoiled Hilary (Karen Parsons), while taking teenager Ashley (Tatyana M. Ali) under his wing and becoming her confidante. The brood expands with the birth of Nicholas “Nicky” Banks (Ross Bagley).
Other regulars on the hit show throughout its run are: Jazz (Jeff Townes{D.J. Jazzy Jeff}), Will’s off-beat best friend who brings a little soul into the Banks’ mansion; Jackie (Tyra Banks), Will’s ex-girlfriend from Philadelphia who complicates his life when he gets to college and Lisa (Nia Long), Will’s girlfriend to whom he is shortly engaged.

I'm sure they won't get rid of either show. They'd be stupid to. With these networks it's ratings first and Roseanne and Full House pull in pretty strong ratings for them. I don't think Who's The Boss is doing too well for N@N, but they only have the rights to the show for only 1 year then I'm sure some newer show will come along.

For the last freaking time, they are not getting rid of Roseanne, they've got the rights to air for about 3 or 4 more years. Besides Roseanne airs on the Oxygen network as well.
I hate people who whine about their shows, especially when that show is overplayed on TWO networks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, but Roseanne and Cosby are NOT RESPONSIBLE for Who's The Boss? and Wings getting crappy time slots. The ratings are. Of course Roseanne is gonna get great treatment it's their #1 show (The Cosby Show being #2 now and Full House #3). Hell the marathons for The Cosby Show, Roseanne, and Full House were hugely successful whereas the Wings and Who's The Boss? marathons damn near flopped. To add to this N@N might be dropping Wings soon (kinda like what happened to Coach) and they've only got the rights to air Who's The Boss for ONE YEAR. Perhaps if both shows got better ratings N@N would've held them in high regard   .

I've seen Who's The Boss and I too think it's crap but I'm not gonna go on the Who's The Boss board and troll
Actually I'm not a troll, I watch Roseanne, and may not think it's tops, but I still like it.
Actually I see it all the time, people bash shows they've never seen. I've sen people do it with Wings, you ask them why they don't like the show and get a response like "umm well I've never seen it, but the critics say it's awful". I see this crap all the time.
No it's not Roseanne and Full House's fault, but you don't see us WTB and Wings fans whining about our shows on our boards, and threatening to boycott if they don't air them more. To me threatening to boycott is just a bullying tactics to threaten networks so certain fanbases can get their way
I don't get what they're whining about??? Their shows get shown on two networks, one gets 4 showings just on one network, and I don't know about the other network, but still my gosh that adds up to almost 10 showings per day, what's the complaint?

If I'm remembering right, Pav said he didn't know how they did, he never got the ratings for them.

He said here that Wings bombed in primetime. I don't think he's gotten the ratings for WTB? but said the ratings were good for the other marathons (The Cosby Show, Roseanne, and Full House) but N@N never released info on the WTB? marathon which could mean it did flop.
I am in not way trying to be hostile to you or Rurry btw! :) :)

WTB? probably does good on Nick@nite but Nick@Nite doesnt want it too so they dont give out the ratings
IMO even if a show bombs they shouldnt shove it too a bad timeslot, thats just gonna lose viewers

I hate people who whine about their shows, especially when that show is overplayed on TWO networks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go ahead and boycott, you all will look like a bunch idiots  Boycotting does nothing.
If anything us Who's the Boss? and Wings fans should be pissed at Roseanne and Full House dominating N@N.
P.S. Who's the Boss? isn't crap, I bet you've never seen it, so don't be talking crap about other people shows, especially if you've never seen it.
Roseanne will still be getting double double takes, I don't know where that person got that schedule at, but they posted false information.
:cuss: :livid:
If you are sick of us complaining then why don't you stop reading this post? You seem really bothered by people liking Roseanne more than crappy Whos the Boss, so why dont you go post on the Whos the Boss message board. I don't get oxygen and my local network shows Roseanne at 9am and I'm at school then so Nick at Night is my only place to watch Roseanne so I'm gonna keep complaining even if that person's schedule was wrong. And I'm not the kind of person to say a show sucks unless I've seen it. I watched Whos the Boss when it first came on Nick and Night and yes, it is the biggest load of crap I've ever seen. So again, if you can't stand our complaining then get off this board!
Whos the Boss makes me puke:

Its on TWO TIMES A NIGHT and you cant catch it anywhere else. Roseanne is own 2 channels not including locals, whether you get Oxygon or not, its still on there. Plus its terrilbly overplayed on Nick@Nite, too. So do us all a favor and quit complaining about WTB? and Wings.
Oh and BTW, re-read this thread, she didnt quote you when she said that some of you have probably never seen it!

Zachary_2 08-20-2004, 08:30 AM I enjoy watching Who's The Boss & Roseanne, I hope that neither would be gone soon, but, it doesn't work that way.
As for Oxygen, I get it now, but, my parents are going to upgrade to DirecTV, which dosn't get it.
I'll still probably find it on a local channel at an akward time but, I'll still watch it (sometimes I get up at 4:30 AM to watch Cosby on TBS)
Anyway, everyone has their opinions on TV Shows, my dad can't stand Who's The Boss, I like it, I don't try to force my opinion on him, and I don't think that anyone on this board should either.
That's why shows have seperate forums

brainlesschild09 08-20-2004, 10:18 PM RurryMicelli, I think you may be misunderstanding us, or at least me. I'm not complaining, and I don't think the rest of us are either, that Whos the Boss is on two times a night. What I said was "If Nick at Night shows Who's the Boss four times a night, then they're really going to hell." That had nothing to do with the two times it airs now. And I'm complaining about Whos the Boss because I don't like the show. I have watched several episodes of it to see if I just didn't like some of the episodes, but after watching several episodes, I can honestly say that I don't like it. The two times it airs a night is fine. It gets much better treatment than some of the other shows on N@N. Wings/Cheers should have at least two episodes/night and not at 4am either. I hope when Home Improovement begins to air it gets good treatment because that's a great show.

Well, Boy Meets World isn't N@N material. N@N looks for shows that were either critically acclaimed, ratings hits, or cult classics. BMW doesn't come close to any of these. for the most part it's geared towards tweens and teens. If you ask me BMW fits perfectly on ABC Family though they might butcher it.

Full House seems for fit for just Nickelodeon instead of N@N because I'm sure more younger kids like it than adults, which is probably why it airs at 9pm.

True I believe the only reason they air it that early is to appeal to the younger audience that transitions from Nickelodeon to N@N.

ok, Joseph, I understand about the blowing up thing, but I just wanted to explain that I was saying one thing and not the other. I'm an insomniac and I rarely call asleep before 4pm so I get to see those shows, but I'd still like it if they were on early. Wings and Cheers are too good to be shown so late. Nick at Night should start earlier so that we can see all the good shows earlier.
troopoleon8897 08-21-2004, 02:50 PM sorry for calling you a jerk rurry and some episodes of wtb are good i just think it was to early to bring it on i think the the same way about fatherhood but ill just have to deal with it but i'll be happy soon because im getting the N@N channel and boomerang
Zachary_2 08-21-2004, 03:02 PM The N@N Channel?
As for Fatherhood, I still havn't forgiven them for that, back in January when I heard about it, I was hugely excited, in June, I was hugely dissapointed

troopoleon8897 08-21-2004, 07:24 PM the nick at nite channel is every N@N show ever put on tuesday through friday are 80's-90's sat-monday-50's 60's 70's

very true. How can someone in their 20's have NOT seen WTB? sometime in their youth?
The show was okay but I much preferred Tony on Taxi, and see WTB? more or less as a stepping stone for Alyssa Milano to get to where she is now.

BMW is not a Nick At Nite show. Yes, the show currently is going through a popular phase but it's hardly in the Roseanne/Cosby/Cheers/Three's Company level of popularity to become a "tv classic". I like a lot of shows that I can accept are never going to be classics like those shows.
Actually, if BMW came to Nick At Nite BEFORE something like Seinfeld or Frasier, I'd be disgusted.

Full House was actually popular though. People who didn't like the show HATED it. BMW was a show that had it's small following, but that was it. FH was huge.

actually, 11 pm-1 am is very convienient for most. I missed much of Diff'rent Strokes' run on N@N back in 2001 because I used to work evenings (since it'd air at 9 pm) so I'd never get to see the show except for weekends when it'd repeat a bit later, so when the DVD comes out, it'll have been the first time I've seen most of season one in over a decade.
Plus, when it goes up against prime-time, it's not as good because you're more than likely going to watch the "new" series and not the old favorite.

They air two lousy times a night, and in Sept., both will be on latenights.
Whos the Boss? will air at these times in September:
1:00 AM- Nick@Nite
1:30 AM- Nick@Nite
Who should be complaining here....???
actually, 1 AND 1:30 is better for some of us than one showing at 10. Especially since the 10 showing is up against prime-time
