I have seen stranger, but I will admit that the asking price is outrageous.

I guarantee you that idiot who is doing the auction has no friends
and doesn't pay income taxes- or have a job.
Or a clue about reality.

Here is a quote from the genius:

"It is my feeling that the worldly possessions of the departed that are no longer with us still carry the life-energy long after that person has killed. In moments of perfect clarity, I have felt the hat trying to communicate with me. I cannot guarantee that the hat will speak to the new owner as it has to me for many years."

What a nut!

Wacked out weirdo! The person and the show he is talking about does not seem to exist. I think it's a joke, because IMDB has not listing for the show this person talks about.

Really! Do you think he is nuts? It's hard to tell. I had heard that this Skippy show he is rambling about was actually shot but not aired. It was that bad. This guy is living in some fantasy world.

there actually is a website devoted to this show. Is this guy connected to that?

The joke is elaborate, but flawed in many ways. An Adam Felber does exist, actually, in the Internet Movie Database. It certainly is not this man, though, who is probably the very creator of the website. The clips created of the show are also very elaborate, but obviously just shot recently in black and white (and why they're in black and white no one would know, as it was supposedly shot in 1969, and there's no way that the stuff on the website would be anything but "original" film, it's just too pristine to be otherwise.) Also, note that Keenerville does not exist :)

This guy is smart and sad and pathetic all at the same time...

Click any of the movie clips, they'll show a fake biography with clips from the "show."

Being a person very interested in hoaxes, I googled Buddy Wilson and Life With Skippy, and found something interesting. Somebody actually made a post in regards to the show/Buddy over at TV Land's message board. Here's a link in case you want to see for yourself: http://www.tvland.com/boards/viewthread.jhtml?bID=60&tID=59515&mID=266220&offset=0&_DARGS=/boards/viewboard.jhtml.16_A&_DAV=2

This makes me wonder, could this possibly not be a hoax, and if it is, would anyone go to such lengths to propagate it?

Believe me, if you look deep at this "Life with Skippy" website and the supposed "interviews" with one of the stars, you'll know that it's a fake. (He says that it was remade as a movie in the mid eighties with this Adam Felbar returning -- except it was a porno.)
