Does anyone here know what they are doing for a senior project? My friend and I kind of want to make a short film, he goes to a different school so I think we could both turn in the same short film.

I guess if you already graduated, telling us what you did could help.

I would also be interested on doing something about drug use, broken homes, dropping out of school or something, I go to an Alternative school, so I would have the best people to interview ever :P

i graduated last year and have no idea what you are talking about.

some schools make you do a senior project thing where you do a presentation at the end of the year and it is required for graduation.

you do research or whatever then have to show a final product.

My stepsister, who is going into broadcasting, went to a WSU studio and did a fake telecast thing last year.

I'll probably just trade in my cane for a Hover Round....

Wait, you mean, er, high school, er, well, I done graduated in 1699! I don't look a day over 124!

me too. my school is ghetto and nobody would graduate if a project was required

it is a state requirement in washington after like next year

A lot of high schools require you to do a term paper as a requirement for graduation. At least where I went, and I think it's still a requirement.

We all had to do 48 hours of bloody community service. Ooooh, did that ever suck. Why do I want to help the community? The community can help themselves!!;)

I had to do something like 96 hours of community service, but no project. That would have been fun.....I've always wanted to make a short film. In fact, I almost did for history class (just for fun - there was no assignment involved). It was going to be a parody of WWI - about this pidgeon that saved a small town in France (true story - I think the bird was called Cherie). Anyway, it was going to be a sort of political satire, but the actors wouldn't cooperate, and I didn't finish writing the script and we had no location or set.....so it never happened. Oh, and I didn't know who or what was going to play the damn bird....minor detail.

well, my friend and I like really dark, gritty dramas, but my teachers are REALLY liberal, so they would be fine with whatever I made, the main problem would be that I think someone from the real school comes to watch the presentation.

I really struggle with things like this though, because when I do a project I never want it to just be something stupid, I like to really make it something worth doing.

I graduated last year.
We had to do a 18-20 page research paper on a topic related to macroeconomics. I chose supply-side economics and it's application in the past 4 administrations. We also had to give a 40 minute seminar on our research.

what type of school did you go to?

yeah, for high school
and i went to a public school in PA.

thats a HUGE senior project for a public school, that is why I was wondering if you went to a private school for gifted students or something, most of the presentations are maybe a 10 page paper and a 10 minute presentation on something that isnt such a difficult topic as macroeconomics, did EVERYONE do that?

Did you go to one of the toughest schools in the state?

I don't think it was an exceptionally hard school....but I was on the AP/honors track for high school. About 30 of us were in that, the rest of my class had the 40 minute seminar but could pick any topic from economics or government and had a shorter (not sure the length exactly) research paper.

I didn't have to do one. :o

I did my graduation project this past school year (10th grade for me) so I wouldn't have to worry about it for the rest of high school. My topic was jazz music, and I wrote a 10-page essay and gave a presentation. It wasn't that hard, and it got me out of having to do another essay for social studies.

we have senior project but since we dont start school for 3 weeks im not going to start to think about it
