View Full Version : Everyone Read This Shocking Story
Henry727 08-16-2004, 06:47 PM Well, I remember one xmas when my gift was hid from me because she didnt get one from me. Well it began as any xmas, the family gathered happily and we all spent xmas together. My Aunt Cindy was unloading the car and whatever and somewhere in the brigade of bags was my present which was to be given to me. Well, little did i know my aunt was expecting something for herself before she was to give me the gift. So the family came in and greeted each other saying merry xmas and other various holdiday connations. Well, then began the gift giving portion of our evening. We had all exchanged gifts for the evening and i didnt have the much money to buy an extravagant gift which Aunt Cindy was expecting so i just gave her a homemade card. Well, she took the card indifferently and gave a cold thank you and continued mingling stiffly and snobily with the other family members. When the coast was clear, she took a look around to see what everyone was doing and when she knew that she wouldnt be missed, she ascended the staircase of our home and began climbing the stairs up the second floor of the house. She entered a remote room on the second floor which she assumed no one was going to come into. She bagan searching for a hiding place where she could conceil the gift from me where i couldnt find it just long enough until she went back home. Well, back downstairs where she had been missing for quite sometime now, the group had began to notice her absence. One of us went to the second floor to see what she had been doing all this time. She heard the footsteps and hid the gift in an easily findable place underneath some clothes next to a dresser by a window. Someone went into the room and there she was standing stiffly by a window frozen in panic. She was then asked what she was doing in this room away from everyone else and she replied she was just looking around. Then she returned downstairs to where everyone else was, unstirrred by what she had just done sans conscious. When she rejoined the group downstairs she pretended like everything was fine. She then tried to create a diversion to waste time until it was time for her to go by suggesting that we all sing the twelve days of christmas by assigning various parts of the song to different people. Well, the idea was quickly drowned by the chatter of the family members and she ignored. Her plan was foiled and then suggested that we just sing general xmas carols as a group around the tree but to no avail. She then walked somberly to the couch and began watching tv with the rest of us. Well, one of us just had to check what she had been doing in that room the whole time and someone managed to slip by and go up to the room where she had been earlier in the evening shuffling to hide my gift. He was looking around the room and without even trying, found the gift underneath a shallow pile of clothes, it was a puzzle. Meanwhile downstairs, Aunt Cindy was confident that her gift was not going to be found for the rest of the evening and she would wisk it away in her van and bring it back home by nights end. Well, to her surprise the gift had been found. Cindy was on the couch, as was all of us, when a cousin descended the staircase with what looked like a puzzle and said what is this. Cindy sat in frozen silence shocked that her plan had been foiled. Her blood began to rise, she started turning red. Aunt Cindy said to me fakely oh i forgot to give you the gift. But no one believed her, it had been clear now what she had been doing up in that room all that time, she was hiding the gift away from me cause she was mad she didnt receive anything big from me. Her son, my cousin, told her why didnt she give me the gift. She got mad snatched the gift from the person who found it and spitefully gave it to me saying only "here" with a defeated but angry attitude that her plan didnt work. Well, the family shouted obscenities at her calling her a b and various other derogatory names. For the rest of the evening it had been the talk of the house how she could hide a gift from her own nephew. She walked upstairs madly and went into a room, slammed the door, and locked herself in there until the evening was done. When it was time to go she walked to her car silently with her lips pursed together and went home. Well the next xmas she pretended like nothing happend.

Yes, you told this story last Christmas. Alot of the people who are on the boards then are still on the boards. Besides, if you wanted to tell this again, why are you telling it in Aug.? Why didn't you just wait until this Christmas? It would fit in with the holiday season!

Janice 08-16-2004, 09:55 PM I immediately recognized the story from last year. It is just as thrilling and exciting now as it was then.

webuster 08-17-2004, 09:03 AM I've never read the story before. It was interesting- but the way you wrote it- it was overly dramatic- making your aunt out to be someone you could imagine being played by Joan Crawford (if Crawford were alive today of course!). When you described her going upstairs I thought she was going to kill herself! When you said she froze in shock when hiding the present, I thought she had taken a heart attack!
The story wans't shocking- just very bizaare. Did your aunt actually say that's why she hid the present?

Dude Joan Crawford is strange, it's so obvious that Mommie Dearest **** is a little fake, but that movie was funny.
Georgia's on my Mind 08-17-2004, 03:45 PM my moms idol is joan crawford
dlemond 08-17-2004, 03:56 PM You know the worst thing that could ever happen to you is your aunt trying to deny you a Christmas present.
I mean, what is worse than that?
TELL ME!!! TELL ME!!!!!!
Though eventually you might be happy you have a real life- as far as yours seems to go.
Henry727 08-17-2004, 06:54 PM Yes Janice a movie is being filmed right now and playing aunt cindy will be martha stewart
webuster 08-18-2004, 09:00 AM I nominate Joan Collins to play Aunt Cindy (and have it set in 1980's with the shoulderpads!), Haley Joel Osment as Henry727, with Ed Asner, Lauren Bacall and Nicole Kidman as supporting cast!
