"My Miscellaneous Life"
ABC Drama/Comedy
Sundays 8:00pm
"My Miscellaneous Life" stars Kelly Osbourne as Rebecca "Becca" Claibourne, a rebellish yet stylish teen who lives a very hectic life. Becca is a senior in high school, who is unsure of what her calling is yet. Becca Claibourne lives in her Philadelphia home with her parents. Becca's parents are Greg and Jill Claibourne. Greg Claibourne (Ted Danson) is a plastic surgeon, who has had a total of 2 affairs with patients of his, but claims to still be in love with his wife of 20 years. Jill Claibourne (Christine Lahti) is a real estate agent, who also had an affair with Becca's 8th grade english teacher a few years ago, who also claims to be in love with her hubby. Greg and Becca are constantly arguing over every little thing. Jill is constantly butting her nose into Becca's well-kept private personal life, which irritates the hell out of Becca. Becca's best friend, Julia Blanchette (Ashlee Simpson) lives next-door to the Claibournes with her divorced-yet-single mom, Kate Blanchette (Kirstie Alley). Kate Blanchette is kind of a lush!! Kate spends her days at a dead-end job, and spends her night alone with a mixed drink with her hand. Whenever Becca has had enough of her parents or just wants to talk to someone (besides Julia), she turns to Kate for some loyal and trustworthy advice. Julia and Becca have been best friends since the 5th grade and will probably always be best friends. Greg's nephew, Matt Claibourne (Billy Aaron Brown) is a boyfriend of 9 months to Julia. Becca is still unsure if she likes that her best friend and cousin are dating yet, even after nine months. Becca's selfishly rude boyfriend of 18 months, Steve Daniels (Benjamin McKenzie) has been known to cheat on Becca several times. Steve and Becca's "relationship" isn't really a great relationship. Steve uses Becca to his, and only his, advantage. He is sometimes abusive, but denies it. Becca and Julia's "potentially" gay friend, Alden Reynolds (Justin Berfield) is becoming one of the objects of Becca's affection, despite the fact he "may not" be interested in Becca in "that way". Becca also has her eye of the new hunky substitute Current Events teacher, Mr. Mike Douglas (Malcolm-Jamal Warner). Becca must choice between her abusively mean boyfriend Steve, her "potentially gay" friend Alden, or her hunky (and much-older) teacher Mike--among the other problems and events that occur in the life of Becca's life. How will she deal with all of her dilemmas.
