"Blanchette's Bar" is about two sisters, played by Jamie Lee Curtis and Laurie Metcalf, who inherited and work at their late father's bar . Jamie Lee Curtis plays Hannah Blanchette-Madison and Laurie Metcalf plays Susan Blanchette. Hannah Blanchette-Madison is married to Greg Madison (Dan Akroyd), who also works at the bar. Susan is a divorcee, who's been divorced twice. Hannah and Greg's daughter, Lauren Madison (Sara Rue) is going to Law School and working at the bar part-time. Lauren is hiding the fact that she has been engaged for 2 months now to her college professor, Kevin McDaniels (Woody Harrelson). Susan's daughter from her first marriage, Gracie Blanchette (Kelly Osbourne) works as a waitress part-time. Gracie is a senior in high school and a little of a rebel in her own punkish kind of way. Susan loves Gracie with all her heart, but is not too thrilled about Gracie's wild personal life. And to make matters worse, Greg's cyncial father, Ed Madison (Ed Asner) moves in with Greg and Hannah, after Ed's wife dies and he suffers a heart attack. Ed has a habit of talking without thinking, which gets him into trouble ALOT. Ed and Gracie often buttheads during family get-togethers or just an average day at the bar.
