This past week has been horrible....no, worse then horrible. It was so bad there is no word for it.

Last tuesday (8/10) a close family friend passed away after lots of complication due to a massive stroke. We found out on Thursday and the funeral was Friday. Friday morning we find out that another family friend has passed due to old age. Still not sure when the funeral is. Saturday while at work I didn't drink enough water and nearly passed out from heat exhaustion. I had to call a friend to come pick me up because, obviously, they would not let me drive that far by myself. That night I found out a friend from high school was killed when an elderly lady was turning into an old folks home and claims to not have seen him on his motorcycle. She ran him over and killed him instantly. His funeral is Wednesday. We are still getting ahold of old classmates to let them know about Albert. (oh did I mention that I was baby sitting my niece and nephew who are 7 and 4 all last week as well)

After all that I was looking for a nice quiet day to myself.....wrong I was just informed by my father that I have to my grandmother to her doctor appointment in the next town (an hour away) b/c the doors are being installed on the house. My grandmother is 97 years old and complains about her doctors constantly... I DON'T NEED THIS TODAY I NEED A DAY FOR MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But alas that will not happen until at least Thursday b/c there is a rosary for Albert Tuesday and then his funeral Wednesday.

I just keep thinking...these weeks are very rare. At least they better be b/c I can't handle anymore.

In one week, I found out that I wouldnt have a summer job because I wasnt getting rehired (for absolutely no reason), then got a fight with my mom and ended up moving to my dads, then got my drivers license suspended 2 days (because of the stupid WA laws, I got 2 minor tickets)

so that was pretty bad, but I guess it doesnt quite hit yours

Aw, that's a rough week (understatement of the year). :(
My thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone involved in all that.

The closest I've had to that was when I was ten years old, my cousin died after a long fight with cancer, my grandfather died the next day of a staff infection from being hospitalized with a brain tumor, and the same week my cat died, and my best friend found out she was moving to the other side of the country.

Aww I'm sorry. My worst week/month was prob when I had my first seizure and I was out of school for 2 weeks. Then my friend died of a incurable illness. After that it was hard for me to function in school so the doctor took me out of school for the rest of the school year (3 months). Hang in there. We will help you get through it. Talk to us whenever you need to.

One day down and one to go. Went to the Rosary today and the funeral is tomorrow. The funeral home was packed when we got there 30 minutes ahead of time. It was standing room only and then it extended to the outside.

I was fine until they started a slide show at the end of the service. I don't think any of us made it past that. He left behind a wife, a 2 year old daughter and 2 step-daughter's he was in the process of adopting (7 and 6) This has REALLY been a bad week!

Thanks guys. IT has been a bad week. Just got in from the funeral. It too was packed. Ran into an old teacher of mine and we talked for a while. She was taking it about as bad as we were. I'm just glad it's over with and I hope I never have to do all that again.

Thanks, I needed that this morning as my week from hell continues. Just got a call this morning that a cousin died last night. *sigh* Looks like I'm going out of town for the weekend.

Thanks, I needed that laugh. My entire family is converging tomorrow. I'll be gone until sometime Sunday. This will be a LONG weekend. It'll take us about 12 hours to drive there. So I guess I'll talk to y'all after I get back.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister Angela. I know what you must be going through. If you need to talk feel free to PM me.

Thanks y'all it was a very long and emotional weekend. It was good to see family...but no under those circumstances. We left around 1pm on Friday and drove into the hotel at 11:30 that night. It was a long trip. Then we were up early the next morning for the funeral as well as being up late visiting with family. Then we were up early again today to get home at a descent hour.

I'm glad I'm home and I hope I don't have to go through a week like I just did again.
