I know that wa the final episode, but this show did not end good. I mean, Arnold, Mr. D., and Sam, were the only 3 in the last 2 episodes.

2nd last one was "Dark Room" I beleive

Both had to do with what Arnold wanted to be in life, and Lisa kssed Arnold, so I guess that is some closure, but they should have had a propoer send off, such as Willis and Charleen reunite and marry.

That show could have went on for season 9 in 1986-87, but Garry wanted off after so long. I wonder how long the show would have lasted after that? A season more? Maybe 2? 3? I guess it would have had at least a final send-off season in season 9, if there had been one, where Arnold and Lisa date and Willis gets back with Charlene

Actually, ABC cancelled it. It was one of the lowest rated shows that season. It was #75 out of 80 something shows.

But I think they should have let the show do a final episode in June or July to send the show off and show that instead of reruns:

Like the poster above said, they should've married Charlene & Willis. That way they could have Dana Plato, Charlotte Rae, Nedra Volz, and others come back for the last episode

She left a few months after DS was canceled.

I think that the show should have stayed on 12 years and when seasons 10-12 come out in my fan fics you'll see why
