It seems that during my childhood days throughout the 1970s,the Looney Tunes were much more common on TV.On weekdays after school, there was The Merrie Melodies Show, which consisted of the later cartoons from the 1960s,which would star Daffy Duck and Speedy Gonzales or Sylvester and Speedy. Then on Saturdays we had The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show, which was also seen on Sunday nights as The Bugs Bunny /Road Runner Hour. The only difference being"Show"replaced by"Hour".As you all may remember, this show had a much better variety of Looney Tunes characters, with cartoons from the 1940s and 50s.Earlier on those same Saturday mornings, there was Bugs Bunny & His Friends on Channell 7 Buffalo, which showed mainly older cartoons, and was followed by The Porky Pig & Popeye Hour. The latter showed the King Feature Popeye cartoons from the 1960s,as well as old Porky Pig cartoons from the 30s and 40s.Near the end of the 70s,there was The Daffy Duck Show, which basically showed all the same cartoons as The Merrie Melodies Show, and also aired on Saturdays. These days it's mainly The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show, which has the very same format as The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show(or)Hour.I guess with the invention of home video,we don't always have to rely on the TV set for our favourite shows anymore.:D

If you enjoyed some memories of Looney Tunes back in the 60's and 70's on network TV, you should check out the "Looney Tunes" on TV (http://looney.toonzone.net/tv/) section from this website.:) I used to watch that show on Saturday mornings since I was a kid as well as cartoons such as the 30's and 40's Looney Tunes that had been around on local TV back in the 70's and 80's that it was on channel 9 (WOR-TV) and channel 5 (WNYW) in New York City.:) Thanks to DVD. I have the "Looney Tunes" VHS tape since it was used in public domain.
