Does anyone remember this story? I don't think I've seen it before, yet it was mentioned in a post on this board:
"1) The case of I believe a robbery of a grocery store - the doof who robbed them and after subduing them attempted to inject them with something that would make them fall asleep (It didn't work) - Luckily nobody was killed."

The robbery in question didn't happen at a grocery store. It took place at some sort of warehouse where the accused robber was working. I'm not 100% sure, but the robber's name might have been Mauel or Victor. But I know for sure that the robbery took place in 1983. The segment aired on UM in late-'93 or early-'94.

storage room not a warehouse but a warehouse is a very real possibility. I believe he was caught as a result of the UM broadcast.
Later.
I searched the web, and obtained more information about the accused robber. His name is Victor Manuel Gerena. He robbed a Wells Fargo armored truck depot in Connecticut.
Evidently, he has been profiled on America's Most Wanted because his profile is at the AMW site.
