Hey
This September I will be going into my Freshman year of high school. I have always gone to a private school, but this I will be going to a public school. All of my friends are going to different schools. I'm not scared, I'm just gonna miss my friends. Is anybody else going through this?

Sort of..I'm going from a public school to a catholic school (but I was at a catholic school before)..It's a tie for me. I like public school because there are more kids but I like small catholic schools because people dont run ya over  I'm sure it will be fine and you'll love it:)

I went through that last year. From preschool all the way up to 8th grade, I went to a Catholic school. Blah I couldn't stand it though...the teachers really sucked and ugh I could go on and on..the only thing that kept me there for so many years were my friends. We were all really close, so I would have never wanted to leave.

Anyway, I decided to go to a public high school because I was so sick of the Catholic school environment (I still believe in God and all...don't get me wrong...) but I wanted to go to public school so badly. The school size was kind of overwhelming coming from such a small Catholic school. It was a pretty hard adjustment at first considering only three other people from my old school came to the public high school with me, but I met a lot of new people that summer through other friends and also through field hockey. Join some sports or clubs, it really helps when making new friends...also you'll meet some nice people in your classes hopefully and you'll feel right at home within a few months. I've made so many new friends this year and I'm doing really really well in school, so I'd say switching from Catholic to public school was one of the best decisions I've ever made. :)

I'm taking some college classes this year for the first time, so that is something...like that...I guess

here is my advice for public school, never say what you think, you may get suspended.

then again, them suspending me led to me switching schools, which is the best thing I ever did

Hey!
I am kind of excited about making some new friends! Only one kid from my old school will going to high school with me. I probably won't see her though because the school is huge!

From K-6 grades, I went to a Catholic school. Then for 7th grade, I decided to switch to a public middle school that was opening that year. Best move of my entire life... you can't even begin to imagine.

I like public school...theres more kids and the kids don't tend to be as snobby as some of the Catholic shcool kids. Just an observation.
