This idea just came to me. voting at TV shows on DVD is a good thing, but it is not moving as fast as it could for some shows. what if we went to fans of shows with a weak voting base and also just people with shows that are strong and trade votes? I know it sounds complicated, but I'll explain. example: say some likes "Gimme a Break!", well they would go to a say "Seinfeld" fan and say if you vote for "Gimme a Break" I'll vote for "Seinfeld" and then you pass it on to other "Gimme a Break!" fans and have them find others willing to do this. you don't have to like the show you would be voting for in exchange for your show, but it would be a guaranteed vote for your show. I know it sounds confusing, but I think it will work.

The thing is that if there's all of a sudden alot of votes being registered for a particular show, the tvshowsondvd staff will realize that there's some sort of fix going on and they would probably find a way to throw out votes that they think are suspect. Also, there are shows on that site with tons of votes that we're still waiting for to be released. A high number of votes won't necessarily get shows released that much quicker.

Then voting becomes useless.
Voting is for companies to see if an audience is willing to buy.
But if they get votes that come unfulfilled -- we're just wasting their time, and they may never look into polls again.
Luckily.... I'd get both Seinfeld and Gimme A Break.

Those are valid points, but I think we should try something to speed up releases. this system is called logrollers. I admit we need to be careful how we approach this. they don't seem to be reading the polls much, so it's worth a risk.
