The Michael O'Keefe Show, starring Michael O'Keefe as Michael "Mike" Walesh, a blue-collar husband and father of three. Mike Walesh owns his own car garage where he works as head mechanic, with three of his buddies. Mike and his gorgeous wife, Donna (Lara Flynn Boyle) live in their Sacremento home, with their three children. Donna is a secretary at the garage, that Mike works and owns. Mike and Donna's kids are Sarah, 16, Trent, 14, and Lacey, 10. Sarah is a sophomore in high school and a total fashion guru. Sarah is always surrounded by either her numerous friends or the numerous guys who like her. Mike is constantly wanting to meet Sarah's dates and give his approval or not. Trent is in the 8th grade and is just like Mike, he likes his sports, his cars, and his women. Trent takes advice from Mike and the other guys at the garage on how to get a girl, how to score with a girl, etc. Lacey is in the 4th grade and is Mike's little angel. Lacey is the only member in the family who knows how to keep things in order. Mike and Donna's neighbors are the Harrisons: Doug and Patty Harrison (Jerry Seinfeld, Rita Wilson). The Waleshs, among others, can't stand the Harrisons. Doug Harrison has a huge ego and tends to brag, as Patty Harrison has the reputation of being the town's biggest gossip queen, she tends to do some backstabbing in the meantime. Mike and Donna tend to have to deal with the school principal, Principal Walters (Rhea Perlman), who has it out for the Walesh kids===ever since the day Mike dumped her daughter to go out with Donna (back in high school). Mike's co-workers include: Mitch (Ashton Kutcher), and Paul (Paul Reiser)

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Mike and Donna go out and celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary, by going out to a fancy restuarant and hotel for the weekend. Leaving Sarah, Trent, and Lacey in charge of themselves, yet they had asked Lacey to keep tabs on her older siblings for them.

Ep2: Principal Walters:
After hearing Mike talk about Principal Walters and call her an old bag, Trent decides to get his friends together and tell them to call her an old bag-causing Trent and his friends to be in trouble with her. Mike and Donna are asked to have a talk with her and Trent, yet Mike is only available, since Donna is busy with paperwork from the garage.

Ep3: Shut Up:
Mike is furious when he learns Sarah told Doug and Patty that her parents are free for the weekend. Doug and Patty invite Mike and Donna over for supper one night, they accept the offer reluctantly. Patty ends up criticizing Donna and her cooking skills. Meanwhile, Trent asks Mitch for dating advice.

Ep4: Meeting The Girlfriend:
Mitch wants Mike and Donna to go out to dinner with him and his new girlfriend, Katie (Soleil Moon Frye). Katie and Donna get along great yet Katie buttheads with Mike over the topic of Mitch eventually leaving the garage to move to Colorado to be with her as she plans to move there after she graduates from college.

Ep5: Divorce Happens:
Mike is upsetted by Paul's announcement of him and Laurie splitting up. With Paul and Laurie's divorce on his mind, Mike has a dream/nightmare about how his life would be if it was he and Donna getting a divorce. Meanwhile, Sarah and Lacey learn that Trent has a girlfriend, Megan (Sarah Paxton).

Ep6: Uptown Girl:
The Walesh family are invited to Megan's house for dinner (to meet her family and vice versa). Turns out that Megan's family is rich and they live in a huge, upperclassmen home. While there, Mike and Donna try to be more sophisficated, Trent and Megan worried if their parents will like each other or not, Sarah is attracted to Megan's older brother Scott, and Lacey is in love with Megan's golden retriever puppy Lucky.
