but I've been catching up on my Wings viewing on tape and just watched the episode where Helen & Brian went to NYC to see Rent. Now, Helen had that really bad experience when she lived there, and she didn't want to talk about it ever again. Then she wants to go back? She must've really wanted to see Rent! Then she had another misfortune of losing her money the 2nd time she was in NY. Realistically, if I were her, I'd stay away from the Big Apple!!
Sorry!! I just notice things like that. Like Joe, I'm tight-assed, even in the womb!!

Wow, I've never even thought of that! lol! That is kinda weird.
It's funny how you don't notice things like that with TV shows until you've watched the series through like, 3, 4, 5+ times.

Looks like NYC is not Helen's friend :D
Another thing I noticed was that Helen had no problem marrying Antonio so he could stay in the country, but she had a big problem with Brian and Joe committing insurance fraud. Don't both count as lying to the US government? Plus, if Helen and Antonio were caught, they'd both be punished while if the Hackett brothers were caught, nothing would happen to Helen.

did you ever notice how many of the later episodes dealt with them losing money?
Off the top of my head
Hosed- the vacuum cleaner repair
Like A Neighbor Scorned- paying off Chris Elliotts gambling
Olive or Twist- the guy falling in the bar- then they dont own the bar anymore
Escape From New York- Helen losing her money
all this around the three part Wingless episodes where the airline was doing so bad they were going to look for a "silent investor"
It seems there were others as well where they lost a considerable amount of money
