Hello - Does anyone have a picture of Lucy without her red hair, but her natural hair? I'd love to see one. I can't find one on google.

Thanks

~ Juli

Juli,
I think it is called "Lucille" it has pictures of her when she was younger most I Love Lucy or Lucille Ball books have pictures of her when she was in her teens in them at least the ones I find and buy do..if you have seen the bug I Love Lucy book it has pictures of her in there but of course there are a ton of books with the title of I Love Lucy but the fron it has a heart and in the hart a picture of Lucy and Ricky and it is by Micheal McClay

Also the exact name of the Lucille Book is called "Lucille" "The Life of Lucille Ball" by Kathleen Brady...it does not have a ton of pictures of her but it does have some and one picture that we have discussed here  it has a wondergul story of her life although in the part with subjects on her and Gary there comes the Cuss words the worst of them but other than that it is a wonderful book I am reading now it is very good and well written

Also another wonderful book is called A Life in picture Lucy by I think Frew it is filled with wonderful pictures I have not looked at it in a while but It is a really good one. Also the book by Micheal McClay is called "I Love Lucy" it has the words (which we all know) the lyrics to the I Love Lucy theme song and it also hasa wonderful episode guide. It has a picture from each episode and it has a summery of the episode.(episodes from I Love Lucy and Lucy-Desi comedy hour)

Hope I helped. :)

About two years ago, there was a post to this board, the subject title being "What was Lucy's natural hair color?". (Last post to the board was July 2002.

There was an attachment (file name "brunette!.jpg") and it was a picture of Lucy with brown hair, probably taken in the very early 40s, maybe even the late 30s - although the picture is in color.

She looks beautiful.

I'll try to attach the pic to this post, but if it doesn't work, I think that the pic can be found at:

http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/attachment.php?postid=285081&

Also, if you do a sitcomsonline search and input "Lucy's hair color", it will give you the link to this picture.

Hope this helps!

It looks like my attachment attempt didn't work. but at least you should be able to find it with this link.

WOW! I just put taht picture in Black and White and I would not think it was her if I saw it in a magazine or something. She has changed a lot. Her hair isn't even curly like it is in "I Love Lucy." Her face looks somewhat the same but I wouldn't think "Lucy" if I saw that picture in something, even if it was black and white (so the hair color wouldn't show)

I know exactly what you mean, Vitameatavegamin...

I also couldn't believe it when I first saw that picture ... if you're told that it's a picture of Lucy, you can see her face and tell that it is. But I'll bet if you showed that pic to 1000 people on the street, 999 of them would never guess that it's Lucy.

I just looked at it in black and white as well, and boy, it's really hard to tell it's her when it's not in color.

I think Lucy looks great in that pic. Even though she was a beautiful red head, I think she looks even better with her natural color.

Oh yes, THAT picture. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have absolutely no problem with that picture because it was artistic, not exploitive. But even so, I do not see the slightest resemblance between the woman in that picture and Lucille Ball. Not that it matters to me, but I just don't think it's her. I think Kathleen Brady through in that unauthenticated picture to stir up controversy and sell books. She writes in the style of Kitty Kelly (i.e., tabloid style).

I saw Follow the Fleet for the first time last week and Lucy was a blonde in that one. I think she looked fantastic. She was gorgeous. of Course Lucy could be gray or bald I think she still would be gorgeous. Ok maybe that is over doing it a little, OK A LOT!!! LOL!!!
