View Full Version : Pre-Order Seinfeld Today
kramer 08-10-2004, 11:50 AM At Amazon.com you can now pre-order Seinfeld Season 1 & 2, Season 3, or the Gift Set. Here is the link for Season 1 & 2 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00005JLEX/qid=1092153276/sr=2-1/002-8054797-9738433?v=glance&s=dvd
BTW they list the gift set for $77 and not $119.

Ok, if you don't mind overpaying even with your $50. Amazon is the cheapest I have found the gift set ($77). Walmart wants $101 and Circuit City wants $119. Even if you get just season 1 & 2 or season 3 it is cheaper at Amazon for $32.47. I bet suncoast will want at least $100 for gift set.
sinatrastar 08-17-2004, 05:26 PM I'm considering doing the Amazon Order. Other than the cards and the mustard set - which my wife would never let me display is there anything that justifies the higher price for the gift set?

It all depends on how much you like the show, and are willing to spend. I think I am addicted, I must watch it everyday. A script will also be included in the set. I must buy the gift set but many will just go with the separate seasons.
Maestro 08-18-2004, 06:46 PM I don't see the gift set anywhere on/through that amazon link (1st post).
I'm with star on any xtra purchase price, not that I'd mind it for Christmas though. I'd prob like the gift set box it came in, but S&P shakers, coffee mugs & key chains I don't really need.
My favorite Xtra would probably be a commentary option with [some] episodes, hope they have that.
sinatrastar 08-18-2004, 07:05 PM I just remembered:
THE ORIGINAL FRANK!!!!
er, actually I am not sure what season that was - may have to wait. That was Season 4, so ignore this post for now. ;)
kramer 08-18-2004, 08:26 PM Maestro, my first post was for the Season 1 and 2 dvd. Here is the link for the gift set: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002UE1X0/qid=1092874720/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/102-1174989-1563308?v=glance&s=dvd
Also if you look on the official website http://www.seinfeld.com and look under special features you will see there will be a commentary on a few episodes.
Maestro 08-18-2004, 11:53 PM Thanx KMan.

they wanted $89 for it. i pre-ordered it and put $40 on it..i spend the $50 I had on my card on frasier season 2.
Seinatra 11-16-2004, 06:36 PM Best Buy has it (GIFT SET) for about $79, plus you get a $25 coupon or gift card. I tried to verify this but I cant get thier website to work.
slackermonkey 11-16-2004, 07:16 PM Best Buy's website is screwy. I tried to pre-order it as "pick up in store," but it won't let me.
I was going to go with Best Buy for the free stuff and cancel my Suncoast preorder, but now I may keep the Suncoast one.
CliffClavin 11-16-2004, 07:36 PM I pre-order at the website where I can get the dvd the cheapest.
barwars 11-16-2004, 08:37 PM I'm going for the Best Buy deal.
The "MEGAset" along with a special Entertainment Weekly and a 9th disc.... you can't go wrong.
And for the most part, Best Buy IS the Best Buy.
Seinatra 11-16-2004, 09:09 PM what is the 9th disc?
slackermonkey 11-16-2004, 11:15 PM http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2464
You can read about it there. It's basically just interviews/featurettes with the supporting characters (the Seinfeld parents, the Costanza parents, etc.) about their careers before joining the show.
Seinatra 11-16-2004, 11:35 PM Looks like in store only.
slackermonkey 11-16-2004, 11:40 PM You can pre-order it off Best Buy's website too.
