Was the actress who played her also Hungarian?

I only remember Lisa's parents being in one episode, that is the episode where Oliver is in Hungary and the Gypsies keep stealing from him.

If you are talking about the woman that is a regular that Lisa calls "mother" that is actually Oliver's mother

(Which is funny, becuase there is an episode where she says "I told you not to marry him" and Oliver says "you're MY mother")

Lisa's real mother did visit for two episodes during the fouth or fifth season. This is also the first time she ever met Oliver (contrary to what the show stated before that).

I remember when she visited, she was only in two episodes though. I don't believe she was really Hungarian, her accent sounded a little fake to me. But then, I don't know many Hungarians either!

The actress who played Lisa's mother was Austrian. Her name was Lilia Skala and she was born in Vienna in 1896.

I saw the a episode today where Lisa's mother visited. She was visited by Joe Carson and Mr Haney who wanted to be her beaus. I guess they felt she had plenty of money.

Although I thought it was a little odd that Oliver's mother always seemed to like Lisa more than Oliver when you'd think that she would like her own son better.

I thought the fact that Oliver's mother liked Lisa better than him was hilarious.

I though it was just another example of the ingenious humor of Green Acres. :nerd:

Oh, and I also like Lisa's mother because she was funny and could never remember Oliver's name.
