The fifth season begins in September 1983:

98. Frank

Archie gets a new partner, Frank Jones, who happens to be Italian. When he realizes this he fires Frank but Billie tells him to hire back Frank.

99. Gloria Comes Back

Gloria quits her job and decides to move back in with Archie.

100. Joey's Birthday

It's Joey's birthday and the gang at the bar decides to throw Joey a birthday bash.

101. High School Trouble

Stephanie begins high school but there's a boy that keeps bothering her and she wants to go to a jewish school since she figures there's no mean people there. Billie tires to convince Stephanie that she'll run into problems no matter what school she goes to.

102. Sam

Gary has a friend come to meet him at the bar. When she comes she falls for Archie. Archie takes her out for dinner and Gary is mad at Archie and threatens to kill himself. Billie decides that she should take him back for awhile to take the pain away.

103. Blanche Returns, pt. 1

Blanche returns home and she tells BArney she wants to get married again.

104. The Priest, pt. 2

Barney finds note on his house door that says Blanche has run away with the priest.

105. Barney Gets A Son

Barney is lonely and decides to adopt a child.

106. Archie Vs Barney

Archie and Barney both decide to run for Councilman. Tensions rise between the two. In the end they both drop out.

107. Billie's Brother

Billie's brother, Freddy, comes to town to visit. It turns out he's running from the law.

108. Bobby Hefner, Is That You?

Barney sees his adopted son, Bobby (15), in a gay rights parade. Bobby reveals to his dad that he is indeed gay.

109. Frank Vs Archie

Frank and Archie get into it over how to run the business.

110. Christmas Surprise

Mike makes a surprise visit. He wants to get back together. However Gloria pretends she's engaged in order to get Mike to go away.

111. You Seem Familiar

Archie goes out on a date with a woman who's similar to Edith. ("dingbat" type)

112. Lionel Jefferson Returns

Lionel Jefferson makes a surprise visit to see the Bunker's.

113. Billie And Gary's Engagement, Pt. 1

After being together for a second time around (for awhile), Gary proposes to Billie. She accepts.

114. The Wedding, Pt. 2

Billie and Gary get married.

115. Archie's Birthday

Archie turns 60.

116. Gloria And Jose

Jose's family is having a reunion. Jose's been talking about a beautiful girl he's been seeing. However there is no girl. Gloria decides to be his date for the night.

117. Archie Sells, Pt. 1

Archie contemplates selling the bar.

118. Archie Sells, Pt. 2

Archie decides to sell the bar after Frank gives him a great offer. In the end Archie tears up and says "14 great years. I couldn't have asked for a better audience than the fans who kept up with us." Him, Gloria and the rest of the cast take a bow.
