I've noticed a lot of different kind of "tape trading lingo", and I don't know a lot of it. So I thought it would be a good idea to compile a list of all of them.

I know a few:
OB=Original Broadcast
w/o/c=With Original Commercials

one term that seems to get everyone when i put it to them is (generation)

as in

1.master = commercial tape or dvd ,or the original recording of a tv program

2.1st generation =a copy of a commercial tape or dvd ,or copy of a original recording of a tv program

3.2nd generation = a copy of a 1st generation recording

and on and on it goes !!
