Ok, everyone thinks I'm a smart person who gives good advice and always knows what to say and makes good decisions. But my best friend told me that she was thinking about "going down" on her bf because she was curious because her other friends from middle school do it and talk about it alot. Of course, I thought it was wrong. I told her that it was safer than having sex, but if someone finds out, they'll spread rumors about her and it will ruin her rep. I even told her that she doesn't know him as good as she thinks(they've only been together for 3 months). I also made a good point and said that people don't spread rumors about how married couples have sex, but that do about teenagers, so it must be a bad thing. Things like that get out, and I don't want my bestfriend to have a bad rep. and that was the first time that I couldn't give her a really good reason about why she shouldn't do something, and she depends on me to help her when she needs advice. I really wanna talk her out of it. My friend has a reputation of being smart and classy, not a slut or whore, so I don't want that 2 change. Can anyone give me a good reason why she shouldn't do it? I have a feeling that if she does it, the results wont be good.

I didnt bother reading past that point. Oral sex is not safer than sexual intercourse. While the female won't be able to get pregnant, diseases can still be transmitted. No sex is safe sex. Sorry to inform you.

All these stupid "hey how much semen comes out, what does it taste like?" threads are quite unnecessary and should be posted in more appropriate places around the internet. There are people as young as 11 here for crying out loud.. think about what you're posting.

Woah.. shes from middle school?! Dude, she shouldnt be giving guys anything at that age. And to put it bluntly, I doubt he'd return the favor. 3 months?! How old is she.. seriously? 13.. 14? The only thing a 13 year old should be sucking on is a lollipop. Is he asking her for oral? If so tell him to go please himself. Its not the risk for a girl that young to be getting diseases, seriously.

Actually, its really not. You're still at risk for same sexually transmitted diseases as you would be if you were having sexual intercourse. The only risk that isn't a concern when it comes to oral sex is pregnancy. Mostly everything else is the same. But I'm going to try not to debate with anybody on this because frankly, I've had enough of that today.

If she doesn't tell anyone about it, then no one will know.

ok, I guess that brings me back 2 another long story. Her bf's "best friend" is not trustworthy because he tried to hit on my best friend why she was still going with her bf. So she confronted him and told him that wasn't cool, (but she never told her bf because she doesn't want to start anything). So now her boyfriends' best friend has been acting funny and doesn't talk to her as much. If they do this, her bf is going to tell his "best friend", and chances are he's going to tell somebody because he really liked my friend but she can't stand him, so now he hates her......

Sex is a complicated subject. We could go hours just defining what it is. It could take days deciding what age is the right age and what is the right situation. After all is said an done, it is a personal decision that no one other than that person can make.

- Sorry I didn't post this in a more appropriate thread. I haven't been here in a while so I didn't know they closed a thread like this. Again, I apologize it will never happen again. Please don't ban me!

-My friend is 15 going to the 10th grade. When I said her friends from middle school, I was referring to the people she USED to know when she WAS in mid school.

-Everyone including my friend knows that 15 is too young to be doing that, but she's a teenager so me telling her that is not very convincing. I need teenagers like me to give me good reasons why she should not do it. She will not listen to that advice because I'm sure she already knows that, I just need to make a really good point that will make her change her mind, not something old people will say because it's stronger coming from people her own age. No offense.

Its not as if youre asking for tips, and it could be really helpful for those younger than you who may be going through the same situation, or might in the future.

15 is a better age, though it still is way young. IMO, I think once you give a guy one thing, hes gonna want something else.. one thing could lead to another, and if she refuses he could drop her and she could get really hurt. Ask her why she wants to do it. Has he been pressuring her at all? She doesnt have to do anything she doesnt want to, and if he doesnt like that then he doesnt really care for her in the first place.

My friend told me that he didn't even mention anything about it, she suggested it because she was curious. So he's not pressuring her at all. It was my friends idea. Although HE is not pressuring her, i think that the pressure is how much her other "friends" talk about it so much, and it might have influenced her. I notice when she's talking to her old friends, she acts totally different, but when it's just me and her, she's just herself because I'm the only good influence she has. Thanx 4 understanding.

Seriously, the fact that we have members on the boards now born after I started Kindergarten (1991) is probably a decent sign that we oughta watch what we say just a LITTLE bit, less we warp the poor kids forever (As if we don't warp 'em enough already WITHOUT the sex talk)

OK GUYS!! When I posted these threads I was not trying to be funny. I seriously needed advice, but some people turn it into a joke and others think it's because of what I said. I understand that there are young kids on here, but there is nothing wrong with talking about stuff like this as long as we are being mature about it and not making jokes. And there are hundreds of threads that have absolutely nothing to do with sitcoms, so why bash me just because I make one asking for advice on a very good question? Instead of jumping down my throat, just hear me out and give me the best advice you have because you could really be helping me out right now. It's not even that serious...

Why not use PMs? Ask someone to PM you to talk, there's lots of people here who would. This board really isn't the place for this kind of talk with young kids here.

As I said: "young, impressionable kids." To a degree, younger kids dont know what the hell you're talking about when you make jokes like that. A lot of kids can't even see past them. I find this thread to be entertaining. Better than most of the typical "favorite snack food" crap and so on that is usually on CC.

yeah there's stuff on here that have nothing to do with sitcoms, but they dont' get all that graphic either.

Okay this is my advice.

Let your friend make the decision on her own.

I was going to say something about using the PM feature, too.

There's nothing wrong with going off-topic, but asking advice over a subject so private and intimate, especially where younger members can easily read through this thread, is not appropriate.

Asking about oral sex on THESE boards is ASKING for a fair share of jokes. If you're willing to sort through the jokes, there actually are a few good bits of advice to help you . Part of the problem is what there ARE younger kids on the boards that don't know these things, and they..uh..get curious. (See: the What is head? post). And, when that happens, you're going to see things start to get a little crazy.

If you want a little bit of honest advice, even if it's from a guy... just tell your friend that if she doesn't want to...er...yeah, then she just shouldn't. Most of that talk by her "friends" (I use that term loosely) is probably just that...talk. And if these..kids..are REALLY going around doing it and talking about it as much as it indicated in those posts, well, I'd honestly question what kind of friends I had.

If she doesn't want to do this, then, she really shouldn't NEED an excuse, a no should surfice. From what you've mentioned, there's not even any pressure from the boyfriend, making it an even BIGGER non-issue.

I wish I had the internet and went to message boards when I was younger. I could've gotten a better education than I did at Catholic School. :rotflmao:

Nothing i said was graphic, but people on here try to turn it into something it's not. I don't know how to use the PM, but I'll email the people who is actually trying to help. I seriously was not trying to turn this into something big, so I want to just close this thread myself. Please, no one reply after this, I see that some of you can't even stay on topic....

The last time a thread stayed on-topic on THESE boards start to finish was November 17, 2001...It just doesn't happen.

Again, there are some QUITE serious replies in this thread, it's just that there's also more than a few jokes to keep things lively.

And it's not that you went into overly graphic detail about anything, it's that little impressionable 11 and 12 year old kids should be out playing ball, fishing, annoying their younger siblings...not on the internet hearing about the sex lives of teenagers. Let them hear that later on...(Not to say they shouldn't be educated, but the internet can be a little crude about the subject at times)

TeddyBear, stop starting these inappropriate threads. They are way out of line. Don't state that you don't know the rules around here. You're a long time member and you definitely know better.
Please comply.
