That is sick. As much as I love my dog I would never clone her. They might look the same but it won't be her. It would be a constant reminder of my lost pet.

Yeah, I agree. I'm all for therapuetic cloning with stem cells for diseases and cancers, and spinal cord injuries and everything, but when it comes to cloning people and animals, that's when I think it's wrong. I love my maine coon cat, but for his personality. And, my tabby cat is okay, although she can be a real jerk to my maine coon cat sometimes. I would never want to clone either one of my cats.

Ugh... that insults me. I haven't even gotten my kitten home yet, and I'm already attatched to her! I'd never want to do that.

Cloning, no matter who or what you're doing it to, is wrong. Everything on this planet is unique... and shouldn't be tampered with.

It's interesting, now that the great Dr. Francis Crick, a scientist who unraveled the mysteries of human DNA and promoted genetic engineering, has died, I just wanted to say that twenty years ago, I read stuff about the seemingly limitless possibilities of messing with the human gene code...and it was just scary. I was so freaked out by how people could mess with it that I had a hard time sleeping that night.

We're humans, we're individual, we're unique. We can't play God and treat people like human Tinker Toys. It's like science has lost its conscience and sense of ethics.
