Seinfeld didn't hold himself up to those standards. TV critics, as well as viewers accross America did. I don't know anything about Three's Company, but Seinfeld made "nothing" into the most entertaining 30 minute time-slot you could imagine! Wow, you thought 7th Heaven was too goody-goody, but rated Full House at the top of your list? That's Interesting... I think 7th Heaven STARTED as a goody-goody show, but a few things happened over the years to add a little drama...Mary getting arrested for trashing the gym, and eventually getting shipped off to Buffalo to try to straighten out her life...Simon getting drunk at a party, Simon killing a kid in an accident... I still watch 7th Heaven (the first episode I ever watched in Prime Time was Mary getting arrested for trashing the gym, but of course I've seen all of the earlier shows in reruns). I still like the show, the writers have kept it somewhat interesting in spite of all the new characters that keep appearing and disappearing. I think that Seinfeld, at it's best, was the best sitcom ever. I can't rate it the best ever, only because I personally think that quite a few episodes were not that good, whereas imo I Love Lucy and The Dick Van Dyke Show never had a really bad episode. But Seinfeld, in the middle years particularly, was as good as it got. I enjoyed Home Improvement the first three years or so that it was on, but it went on way too long...like a lot of shows do. Once Randy became an annoying environmentalist wacko, and Mark became a Goth freak, forget it... Leave it to Beaver was a great show...the kids in that show were (esp. when they were younger) among the most gifted and natural child actors in the history of television. The only thing about LITB I didn't like was the fact that Beaver didn't grow up...when he was 13 or 14, he was still acting and talking like an 8 year old....but I blame the writers for that one...although they did put more of an emphasis on Wally during the last couple of seasons, since Beaver had become pretty geeky by that time. Friends - I probably averaged watching about 1 episode per season...never really got into it...but it was a popular show for a long time, and I like all of the players...I thought they were all very good in their roles. Boy Meets World - never seen it. I liked the Wonder Years the first few years it was on, but one Savage was enough for this lifetime.
