Whatever happened to Chuck? In his midlife crisis episode Mr C. says he has 2 wonderful children but doesn't mention Chuck. Also why does the front door change sides of the house and what happened to the original dining room?

Well, Chuck left because after the first season or two, Garry Marshall decided Richie didn't need an older brother because that's what Fonzie was there for. When they had the dining room and the door was on the other side of the stage then, that was because they didn't have a live studio audience. When they switched to the three-camera format (before they were only using one) and got an audience, they couldn't have the cast entering from the audience so they switched the door to the other side and got rid of the dining room.
